Clone OPatra Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Sorry, I can't see Hermione in the train set anywhere. I think you're right, though I'm not so sure who that girl figure is. This picture clearly shows there are five figures in the set: Harry, Ron, Luna, Draco, and is the last one Ginny or Hermione? I think it's Ginny, so yes, no Hermione in the train. Quote
Derek Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Did any one else notice the piggy in the Burrow? He's in the little pen next to the kitchen. Also, I'm lovin' the catapults in the Burrow set for Fenrir and Bella. I mean, who would use Dark Magic when they are provided with the latest Lego catapult innovation? -darthperson Quote
SuperChris Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 It's got to be Ginny, redish hair. Has anyone noticed the backprinting on the back of the uniforms? Also, has anyone seen Ron in the castle? I can't find him anywhere. Quote
CMP Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 What you've been waiting for: Is that a printed owl I see on the detached area? Quote
Big Cam Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 84 users in this thread, very popular. The castle looks so appealing to me since I remember it on the shelves right after my dark yes but I didn't think that I wanted Harry Potter sets. No is my chance to redeam myself. Those giant gold rings in the quiditch lessons set look sweet to. Quote
RoryoCox Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Did anyone else notice the new owl. It looks great with new printing. The back printing on the uniforms looks great. Is there new wand pieces like the game or are they using the old sticks. Quote
Aanchir Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 The inclusion of Luna in the same set as the flying car is a slight anachronism, but for the sake of new minifigs it can easily be forgiven. Meanwhile, that pic also shows what looks to be a printed owl Two, actually-- a brown one with a tan chest, and a white Hedwig with printed eyes.. Perhaps not totally necessary, but win nonetheless. The box art would imply that Luna has a double-sided head, one with the funky goggles (I forget what they're called, but you can see them on the out-of-box minifig), and one without. I'm intrigued that the front of the train on the box art says 5972, which doesn't match the set number. However, the torso printing is not finalized on the box art, so perhaps they just used the old printed part in lieu of the new one? The gold 2x2 plates are going to be a popular item even for non-HP fans. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I don't think Ron is in the Castle. Looking at the pic that shows the Castle box best, it seems the Castle comes with Harry, Hermione, Dumbledore, Snape, Trelawney, Flitwick, Filtch, 2 Dementors, and Mcgonagall. A good haul even without Ron, and he comes in a lot of other sets anyway. Though I could be wrong about some of those figures, since the boxes are all very preliminary. Quote
Ravenxl7 Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) Has anyone noticed the backprinting on the back of the uniforms? Also, has anyone seen Ron in the castle? I can't find him anywhere. The backprinting is definitely a nice addition to the minifigures. Though there are some figures I personally tihnk it would be pointless on (Snape for instance, who, imo, should always be wearing a cape/cloak). I haven't seen Ron in the castle set either. Harry and Hermione are there, but Ron doesn't seem to be there at all. Slightly dissapointing, but the fewer doubles I get out of the sets, the better, imo. As-is I'm bound to have an army of Harry figures (I've already got three from previous sets). Edited February 14, 2010 by Ravenxl7 Quote
RoryoCox Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Is that a printed owl I see on the detached area? Finally a pic of Bellatrix. She looks alright from the angle so far. Molly and Ginny look great with that red hair piece. Quote

Is there new wand pieces like the game or are they using the old sticks. The printing on the owl is nice! Unnecessary, but still good. I like the pig in the corner. I would say, chances are the wands might, just might be new, semi-lower quality flexi-plastic but super-detailed judging on the new Star Wars accessories. Lego's really going overboard on the details. Ron's hair is interesting, considering the old hair actually did suit the old books/movies, it's only his recent appearances where his new hair should apply. Maybe I'll give some of my old Ron hair out to children in need. I've got about 40 in counting... Quote
badboytje88 Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 These look so bloody brilliant, I need to start saving my money! Quote

Can't see a Trelawney fig in the set, but on the box, I see a purple hat, which makes me think the fig on the box is Mcgonagall, with a different coloured hat. If that makes sense? Quote
metalandi Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 As a castle fan i definitely need the new hogwarts castle. I didn't like the look of the previous ones very much, but i think the new one looks brilliant. Just look at all the accesoires and interior! Quote
Ravenxl7 Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) Can't see a Trelawney fig in the set, but on the box, I see a purple hat, which makes me think the fig on the box is Mcgonagall, with a different coloured hat. If that makes sense? That's what I've been thinking. They could have used a Trelawney figure, or at least her hat, in the place for Mcgonagall when setting up for the preliminary box design. The Dementors on the box seem to be a mix of the new version and the old version. The new ones seem to have gray body parts and black hood & cloak, (they're on a translucent platform next to the castle). I've noticed that the sets have a card next to them with the name of the set and the estimated price. Only one I've been able to read from the pictures is the Quidditch Match set, and it's $20. Though I think the Hagrid's Hut one says it's about $40. Can anybody else make out any of the others? I can't even find the cards for the Burrow or the Castle in any of the pictures. Clone OPatra Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I find it funny that some of the sets actually mix the movies in the set. The train has Luna, who didn't appear until five (and not on the train in the movies until six), and it also has the flying car from Two. I don't care, since it's awesome to get Luna and a car, it's just funny. The other sets seem mostly one movie specific. It's so cool to get actually named Oliver Wood and Marcus Flint minifigures in the Quidditch set. So cool! Quote

My memory is spacing out now, apologies for the stupid question, but did the invisibility cloak even go with Aragog the Spider? Those were two different books if I remember correctly, though I probably don't. Edited February 14, 2010 by Darth Legolas Quote

Luna and Flying car, though, is completely mixed up. Quote

They all look great. Quote

I can't see a cloak in the Hut set, can you link me? Also, has any spotted that the hut has power functions. I wonder how that will work. Quote

He and Ron had it with them when they went down to Hagrid's, before then going into the forest and finding Aragog (it's how they hid when Dumbledore, the Minister, and Malfoy). The one thing that dissapoints me the most about the Hagrid's Hut set, is that it doesn't seem to com with Fang. I'll still probably get it, but Fang would have made it even better. Was that in the movie though, or only the book? I think I've got to rewatch the first few films now. But really, mixing stuff doesn't matter to me, since the outcome is tons of new awesome figs! For me, I would just take the gray hound that Lupin turns into and use him as Fang. Please tell me Lupin was the one who could shape-shift. If not, I've gotta go upstairs and read a book or two.
