ILikePi Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) FBTB is the best (aside from Eurobricks )! Lots and lots of notable things scattered throughout the series! Printed owls, printed sorting hat, elaborately detailed minifigs, printed newspapers/things on 2 x 2 tiles, new hair pieces, updated dementors (I love the tattered capes!), and much, much more! Professor Flitwick looks hilarious. EDIT: Removed Flitwick pic (someone already posted it) Edited February 14, 2010 by ILikePi Quote
Clone OPatra Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 See my other post for more pics. It's nice for you to deeplink FBTB's pics, but honestly you sound like you're trying to capitalize on their pictures by saying "see my other posts for the deeplinks," etc. It might be nicer to also provide the link to the photostream every time as well so that people can just go there and browse around if they wish. Once at that link, I suggest refreshing often, since they're uploading new pics every moment. Quote

metalandi Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 It may not be very big, but it surely looks impressive. Quote

Matn Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 What an impressive exterior, indeed! So many brown window pieces! It looks very good, like it has to be. If I could, I would like the thank the crew who worked on these new sets. Great job! Quote
MrCustomizer Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) Again see this post: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...st&p=684063 I have all of the best pics there, and I keep updating it. ~MC Edited February 14, 2010 by MrCustomizer Quote
Derek Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Filche's face looks like a grumpy old Indy :/ So Indy in KOTCS? All of these figures are absolutely superb, however, I think Snape's head is a step back. The one from OOTP was perfect and would be nice with this hair... An update for Hagrid would have been nice, but you can't have everything... I really wasn't expecting Filch or Flitwick, but they are welcome nonetheless. Mcgonagall is The Weasley's are fantastic, however, I don't see Ron in the Burrow set. I hope he is in the final version... Fenrir and Bella were unexpected as well and are on their own level of awesomeness. I am surprised how accurate they got Bella's hair! She really looks insane! I really hope Luna has a reversible head, if she doesn't, I will be bummed out. The glasses head is nice, but a normal one would be better. The small Dobby set is rather boring, but will be a must buy for the figures... I almost wish they would have given Lucius a different hair, like the new Prince of Persia one in tan... All the accessories (Printed owls , magazines, newspapers, food, TURKEY, animals) and figures and sets! So much to take in! 2010 is going to be a tough year to budget! There is not one of these sets I do not want to buy! -darthperson Quote
Matn Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Well, it seems like they're done with uploading these beautiful pictures of LEGO Harry Potter. Now we'll have to wait on the official pictures and 9 months to have them in our hands. But I'm extremely happy with how it turned out. Great figures, nice accesoires and good buildings. Quote
legomaster08 Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 If you look closely at the 'jail room' it turns out to be a locked cabinet with a brown book behind it the handcuffs are some sort of lock mechinism because if you look at the top its a rail... http://www.flickr.com/photos/fbtbnet/43567...57623434897252/ Quote
SuperChris Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Wow, what a day! Roll on October, I say! Quote
Clone OPatra Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Well, it seems like they're done with uploading these beautiful pictures of LEGO Harry Potter. I'm not too sure, they still haven't uploaded the Freeing Dobby pictures. Last year, FBTB also posted some videos later, so it's possible they'll have some play features shown. But for what we've seen, it all looks quite nice. LEGO really went above and beyond with the figures, and the details and sets themselves are pretty good too. Hopefully this will not be the only wave, and maybe we'll see a second wave with more Hallows sets, but if this is the last Harry Potter wave we'll ever see then it is certainly a much more deserving end to the series then the one Castle based on Order of the Phoenix. Jar Jar Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 These set are fabulous. LEGO really have put detail in their figs! The only disappointment is Hermione. Her face does not look like her. I am buying the Burrows for sure! Bellatrix looks superb but not too sure about the Snape in the Hogwarts set. The last version was very accurate but this one...errr not so much. Molly's face looks alot like that classic yellow face LEGO uses for female characters. Ron Weasley looks fantastic! TLG has finally realizode to give Ron a new hairstyle unlike the old bobcut in previous sets unfortunatley. And he doesn't look to drunk either. Luna, is minifig I am excited about. Her hair seems to be the cheerleader's hair from those collectible 'figs. But her hair should be tan and not butter-colored. Ginny Weasley, ah Ginny...is a wonderful minifig! Her hair mold is VERY accurate. I am curious for what other purposes might use that hair piece for. I doubt the HP theme will be discontinued now! Quote
RoryoCox Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 The new minifigures look absolutely amazing. They are all dazzling with the new hair and torso prints. I thank you all for providing pictures. Quote
Matn Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I really hope they will release a second wave. Just like LEGO Indiana Jones. And if it becomes popular, a third one. Why not! There are still a lot of figures which need to made, especially Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff torsos. They've made such nice and new torsos, why not use them for all the houses. I can't wait to have these minifigures in my hands and make so many creations with them, creations which I'm not able to make now because of the lack of matching figures. Quote
The Alchemyst Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Figs are absolutely gorgeous. I need to get a Luna, just for that head. Endless Steampunk possibilities! :3 Bellatrix's hair was nailed dead-on, and all the figs are looking absolutely terrific. Now I want the burrow pretty bad, for the Dark Red and the gorgeous figs. Matn Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 The Burrow is a mess. It's described like that in the books. It's designed like that in LEGO. It looks nice. I can't wait to have my hands on it and compare it with my version of it! Those new Dementors look also very nice. When I have them, I will use the older heads and bodies for them, because the new cloth looks perfect. Quote
