Just gotta say this, a little disappointed that the Quidditch (or three hoops) set has the characters in Quidditch costumes, I can't possibly think of any uses for those but with five fleshie faces I don't know what to do about it. Stupid criticism I know, but I like to have figs for a wide range of uses.

Batbrick Away!

I need to buy at least 4 of the Quidditch Sets.... just to get enough of those costumes for a quidditch team... my complain for those sets: not enough torsos.

^^ Which ones are the new ones?

Not really new exactly, but some people might have missed that gallery before.

It does give a nice closer look at the Dobby set, which FBTB did not cover.

In what picture? Perhaps you're thinking of the invisibility cloak?

In one of the pictures, there's an issue of The Quibbler on a 2x2 tile between them, and a brown frog (yay chocolate frogs!) slightly behind that.

Did we ever figure out who this lady, on the Hogwarts Express, I think, was? Rita Skeeter? (On the right):

And I think Aanchir is talking about the brown thing in the middle of that picture.

Ummm, that is Luna Lovegood! Dressed from the Half Blood Prince movie. And that is a chocolate frog and the Quibbler to go with Luna.

That's Luna Lovegood, Silly!

Yes, that's the chocolate frog.

Hope more sets come with chocolate frogs. They'd become collectables.

Plus, brown's not an unrealistic color. They could make for good regular toads in non-HP MOCs.

Oh. Well thanks, but I haven't seen any of the later movies (4, 5, and 6), so I wouldn't know what the characters looked like except from book descriptions and cover art.

I think they should really change Harry's hair, it is messy in the first 2 or 3, but you can see it gets neater. Maybe the halfway messy/combed would work, I did it on mine and I think it looks better. What's up with Flitwick's moustache?!

The reason his hairstyle changes over the course of the movies is that the different hairstyle keeps the constantly-aging Daniel Radcliffe looking young. Can't remember where it was that I read that or heard that-- might have been some "making of" thing on one of the DVDs, or a news article regarding the films. Anyway, while a new hairpiece might be OK, it wouldn't have made much sense since the point of these sets seems to be not tying them down to any one year-- i.e. the figs should be usable for whatever Hogwarts storyline the character appeared in.

I really get annoyed by the Flitwick fig-- yes, it's awesome, and it looks exactly like that character should, but the fact remains that that person was never addressed as "Flitwick" until the sixth film, and the Flitwick from the first film did not look at all similar-- much older, with a long beard. Of course, one could argue that since he's the Charms teacher he might know some great cosmetic magic, but that's grasping at straws.

From what I can remember, the reason for the change in his characters look was to make him look more realistic, and more human. Also, if I'm not mistaken, along with the look change, they also came up with the idea that he's not Filius Flitwick, the charms teacher, but his nephew, or some younger relative with the same last name, who is the Hogwarts choir teacher. Basically they made him into an entirely new character that's a relative to one of the characters from the books/first two movies.

Personally I think that if they decide to continue making more HP Lego sets, that they should find a way to make a minifigure of the older Flitwick. Not sure what set they could put him in, but it wouldn't be too hard to find a place for him.

What's the verdict on the printed tile between the 2 of them? Quibbler?

Definitely looks like a copy of the Quibbler to me. In fact, looks like the same one that's sitting on the table in the castle's Slytherin common room.

I disagree. I love the current hairpiece and I don't like how "neat" his hair looks in the recent movies. But if you're happy with the Agent Chase hair, go ahead and use that.

Yeah, but what does it say? Something about Harry, but I can't quite make it out...

If it's exactly the same as the one in the castle set, it says "Harry Potter Speaks Out At Last". Which references the interview he did for the Quibbler in OotP.

Looking at the castle, it looks as though the sections of it will be easily arrangeable. In the box mock-ups picture the building containing Dumbledore's office is attached to the outside corner, while the set on display it's attached to the inside corner. The other parts to the castle seem to have the same ability.

I also think that. His haircut in the last films is way too short. In the Prisoner of Azkaban it was perfect. I wouldn't like it so much if they changed the hairpiece, except when they change it in this hairpiece (Clone Wars Anakin) but in black. It would be perfect because Harry looks in a mirror in the Deathly Hallows and he has hair to his shoulders. It would be something like this:

That actually looks really good. The hair they've been using for him isn't horrible, imo, but he could use a bit of a change, and that hair piece would be perfect. Especially since they've given Ron a new hair piece. Here's hoping they do that for a future set. Also, I agree that he had the best hair in PoA. Was too long in GoF, and got way too short after that.

I didn't really say I liked the hair, it's just that I think it looks more like the movies(I did read some of the books, but only up to somewhere in OotP and I don't remember anything from them because it's been so long)(and since this is the Harry Potter discussion, we obviously aren't supposed to talk about him at all :tounge: ). I do not like the invisibility cloak at all, it looks like a tissue(unless they add some thing to attach it to the minifigure, then my opinion might change). Hopefully they won't have any sets like the OotP castle, giving us objects/places/people without an object/person to go with it, but there is the Slytherin-less Slytherin common room... are there any images of non-nervous Hagrid? I don't want to go looking through thousands of pages to try to find it. Harry looks pretty much the same, but in most of the pictures I've seen, his mouth is right under his glasses, where on a human his nose would be. The only other thing that bothers me, is that most characters look too wrinkly(Snape, Mr. Weasley...). Wish they had ghosts, Nearly-headless Nick or Moaning Myrtle at least.

Ah, thanks. That clears up a lot. Even though I wish they made that clearer in the movies themselves.

The reason they changed him was because JK said it was nothing like she pictured him. I'll try and fine the source for you :).
