not-in-use-anymore Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Then why does Draco have the new hair design, or is it just for certain characters? Quote
Ravenxl7 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Then why does Draco have the new hair design, or is it just for certain characters? Could be a number of things. It could have been something designed so far in advance that it was available for use in the video game, or it could be an instance where it was originally designed for the video game, and then they decided to use it for the set. SuperChris Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Does anyone have an idea of pricing the UK for these sets? I've converted the Amercian prices to GBP, and it comes out at about £220 for all the sets. I'll add an extra £10, just because Lego usually costs more in the UK. Also, if you add together all the pieces for all 6 sets and you get 3099 pieces. Which is just under the amount of pieces of 3 Emerald Nights, which costs just under the price of these 6 sets. Quote

Finaly I get to post here, the case is simple my friend... HP is licensed... yeah... at last I'll still try to buy them all(except for the doby set, it's either that or 2 quidditch lessons and i'm not dumb, plus i have a mountain composed of the old version of that set's sets I bought, then again I don't know why I did get soo many or even one in the first place ). I hope to post more here, 'till then I'll "read" you later (pun-intended btw ). Quote
Ravenxl7 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 (edited) Anybody else considering getting multiple copies of the Freeing Dobby set? I'm thinking about getting a total of four copies of it. Not sure what I would do with the three extra Lucius minifigures, but the three extra Harry minifigures would work nicely for some custom Hogwarts students, and the three extra Dobbys would work nicely as representatives as the Hogwarts house-elves. Edit: Forgot to mention this. Might seem a bit nitpicky, but I think the first post should be updated. Some of the set names are incorrect. It's "Freeing Dobby" and "Quidditch Match" (Dobby's Release and Quidditch Lesson are the names of the old sets). Also, it's just "The Burrow" (no s at the end). 10or Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I wonder if they are going to release exclusive content of the sets. Like with the CoS sets, there was an exclusive Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff Quidditch stand. And then for GoF, there was an edition of Durmstrang ship that included Dumbledore, Harry, Ron, and Hermione. I won't buy multiple sets of any of these, just one is good. The release of the LEGO game has been pushed to June. :( Maybe they are working on updating the game with the new set designs. Quote
SuperChris Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I'm not going to buy any extra sets either. Just one of each is more than enough for me, too. Quote
blhc11 Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Well I'm gonna pass on the dobby set to get two Quiddcth sets, Quidditch was always oneof my favorite things about HP . Cheers. Quote
MrCustomizer Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I will get the Burrow and Hogwarts., Hopefully they'll have good magnet sets that I can get. Hopefully one with Luna. BC I want Luna, Ron, and Malfoy, but I cannot afford to buy all 3. ~MC Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I don't normally get more than one, unless I get one as a present or I lose the first. I like these new designs, they are nice and simple. Quote

Quidditch is the only think I'm NOT interested in, but I'll probably pass on Dobby, too (unless I see it on clearance somewhere). I'll get the other sets; POSSIBLY multiples of some of them. The LEGO train layout I'm planning includes a Hogwart's Express going to Hogwarts, so... I'll be wanting those things. The car and the Burrow (while I don't agree they did a particularly good job of it) would be nice additions. I suppose I'll MOC a whomping willow to put the car in. Quote
Matn Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Talking about which ones to get, I hope I'll be able to get them all. I will buy the smaller ones (Dobby's Release, Quidditch Practice and Hagrid's Hut) myself certainly, and I hope the others will get in my hands in another way. If not, then I'll buy them also. I would love to get my some multiples of a couple of sets (Burrow, Dobby's Release, hell yeah even a second Hogwarts! ), but I've never done that before and I/we are not in the financial position to do so. There's plenty of other interesting LEGO sets to get also, and yes I'm looking at the fantastic Prince of Persia parts packs/sets which can also be useful for the Harry Potter universe. Quote
BearHeart Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Does anyone know the Canadian prices for these new sets? Quote

not-in-use-anymore Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I think they were just instructions on how to build the stands with different colored bricks. Quote
10or Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 No, the Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff stand was an extra if you bought the first Quidditch set at ToysRUs. They included the pieces Quote
CMP Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I think it would be easy to make stands, since 1x2x5 bricks come in every needed color, plus you don't even need chairs, just long benches. Quote
10or Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I really want these sets NOW!! I cannot wait till October for them!! Quote
FilmGirl27 Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I really want these sets NOW!! I cannot wait till October for them!! I'm sorry, but you're going to have to I'm afraid. I tried "Accio October" without luck. And my time turner won't work forwards. But Lupin told me chocolate solves all problems? In all seriousness and non-nerdiness I really want them too. Especially the Burrow. Quote
Sandy Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Me and my boyfriend are visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Orlando Florida this June when it opens, and I'm crossing my fingers these sets are available on sale there. It would be a very wise marketing strategy for TLG, after all. Do you hear me, TLG? It would be WISE! Quote

lightningtiger Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 I think you may be right 'FilmGirl27' June would be too early - but September or October maybe - usually with Lego and very special themes being released or re-released it would run along with either a major retail chain's toy sale as an exclusive or in the US a Black Friday deal. Also note that part two of that film is next year, which in theory means more HP Lego next year - my son can only hope ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
MrCustomizer Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 I'm going to WWoHP when it opens also. I'm gonna dress up in my $150 Gryffindor Robe replica and have FUN! I would be so excited if they had the LEGO sets there, but I doubt it. ~MC Quote
