I fully agree with you, Clone O'Patra. I have plenty of ideas for MOCs based on the first three books using these excellent new figures. But as said, they aren't appropriate for the last few instalments. Especially when you consider that Harry Potter face fighting in the last few chapters of the Deathly Hallows... No, that doesn't work at all.

Malfoy's grin works very good for his childhood character, like when he snatches Neville's stone away. Perhaps Ron's expression would work, because in the last one he looked a bit too drunk for my taste.

But my comments may really change if I get my hands on these beautiful minifigs.

The mini figs are amazing! These are must haves for me, the hair, torsos, faces, everything. It's about time TLC made new hair styles and different faces. Plus, this is a great opportunity to stock up on capes.

I love every single set! I don't think I'll be able to get Hogwarts Castle and Hogwarts Express, but I'll definitely get the other four sets. I'm just so happy that I have another chance at getting Harry Potter sets, because I missed out on all the other ones that were released before.

I'm your opposite... I'll probably only get the castle and Hogwarts Express... seeing all the figures clinches it for me, unless they're going to ask like a million dollars (sorry, that's what it seems like the good big sets are going for, or might as well be).

The only ones I have to get, are Hogwarts and the Burrow. But I'd really like the Hogwarts express for Draco and Ron. And seeing as Luna is my FAVORITE ever character, I desperately want her.

Here's hoping I get good Christmas presents.. :D

Also Molly's torso does not match her legs, Ron has wrong hair, and Malfoy and Ron have switched heads.

I'm sure it's just preliminary things that'll be fixed.

The new pictures are great. Though I can imagine most of them will have some slight differences. Ron from the Hagrid's Hut set will hopefully have the skater-style hair, along with the owls getting the eye and chest printing. Snape and Minerva will most likely have their capes, Minerva will probably have a wand, and I would imagine the Dementors will have face printing and the new style of cloaks.

One thing I find interesting is the broom Harry is holding in the castle set has a cone piece on it. Can't really tell if that's purposeful or not. Also, I like how they used the same gimmick for the Quidditch Match and Burrow sets. Makes for a nice point scoring method and an interesting fire attack.

I'm really looking forward to these sets, and will probably end up getting most of them. I'm still not fully sold on the train set. Just seems underwhelming for the price, but at the same time the minifigures, owls, flying car, and some of the other accessories would be nice. A Ron for the Burrow, a Ginny and a Draco for the castle, and a Luna minifigure would be nice. The train itself just doesn't interest me all that much.

Yeah the cone piece on Harry's broom is very random.

I love the points system on the Quidditch set.

I think the train would have been great if another character was added, maybe Hermione in muggle clothes or an extra compartment and a dementor to make the set even more random and not book significant.

I also think the cat in the Hogwarts set is supposed to be Crookshanks because of the color.

From everything we've seen of the set, I'm thinking it's meant to be Mrs. Norris, but I have to agree with you, the color looks more like Crookshanks (which is why I'll be using it as him). There's a cat coming in the Lego Hogwarts game that will, imo, work perfectly as Mrs. Norris. I believe it's meant to be Minerva when she's in her cat-form, but a dark gray or black colored cat piece would work better for that, imo.

From what I can remember she's always been a dark brown cat, though with some other colors mixed in. Sort of reminded me of a cat my family had when I was a child, that was a mixture of black and calico. Was dark brown but with some variation to it. As for Deathly Hallows, I think that if we see her, there won't be any major changes, but at the same time I think there's a good chance we won't see her at all.

I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I really like Draco's new hair piece. It's much better than the older one, and makes think they should have given Harry a new hair piece too. Also, is it just me, or does it look like Grayback has the new hair piece too?

Also, zooming in on Dumbledore, that is definitely some new printing on his chest. Would be cool if he had some back printing this time (especially since he doesn't have a cape to cover it up).

In the old line there was always a cheap set with Draco and Potter on the brooms, and Hippogrif one. But now, it seems that the only torso is found in Hogwarts Express set. The prices on BL will hit the roof.

Love the hi-rez pics! The Castle is great with a wonderful selection of mini-figs and that Hogwart's Express Train set is awesome(like that they added the Weasley family auto). The 2 winners in the line.

These new sets look pretty cool. The best feature is the minifigs of course - there's a wonderful range of new hairstyles and faces which will be excellent for MOCs, though I do prefer the pervious iteration of Harry's face. There's a really nice selection of parts too, following a trend much like the original Harry Potter sets which contained many parts I've found extremely useful.

I agree - it's pretty ridiculous (RIDDIKULUS...! sorry) that the only way to build upon your Slytherin class is essentially to buy multiples of the 'Express. At the very least you'd expect to have another Slytherin in Hogwart's Castle... with only Harry and Hermione there's more teachers than pupils!

An easier way would to go to BrickLink for extra torsos. It might be cheaper but maybe not because there will be only one rare Slytherin torso.

They look nice. Would have been nice to have gotten Dumbledore in that outfit in actual LEGO minifig form.

Are those supposed to be shoes they are wearing? It looks strange.

Looking at the sets again, Harry is wearing the same jacket torso in the Burrow and the Train sets, I wish they could have given him a little variation.

Well, since you pay $5 extra, that makes each key chain $1.25, so yeah, they're pretty cheap.

Thanks for that pic of the macrofigs by the way, Rick! They look great! Now our minifigs can have Harry Potter action figures! I found the following pic on Brickset, and I wonder who those colorful macrofigs are, and if they are a replacement for the colorful frogs we saw in earlier pics (I sure hope not!):

I don't think those are the frog replacements, you can see frogs if you look closely on the left, and in the box area where all the spiders are.
