CMP Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Why are they called Macrofigs?~MC They're called Microfigs....right? Quote
sok117 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 They're called Microfigs....right? There called microfigs because they are much smaller then minifigs. Other then the obvious, I don't think anyone is quite sure how microfigs got started. Quote
Tom Bricks Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Does anyone know what the printed tile on the left of the die is of? I don't recognize it from anything else. Quote
Jippon Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) Those Microfigs are students, you can tell by their uniform. I only wonder what Harry, Hermione, and Dumbledore are for. If my feeling about the game being about collecting items is right, I think the students are collectibles as well, just like the frogs, potions etc. Harry, Hermione and the rest must be the player characters, or pawns if you like. Also, does anyone know if the microfig heads come loose, or are the figs just one part? Edited June 2, 2010 by Jippon Quote

You can see it better here: link to original post I guess it's something specific to the game, not a previously released print. Edited June 3, 2010 by Fugazi Quote

Jippon Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 The microfigs are just one part. Good to know, thanks! New game video: Wow nice! I'm really looking foreward to this game :) Being a fan of the old story and freeplay modes, I'm not to excited about the LEGO Indy 2 style bonus levels though. Quote
Ras 74 Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Nice to see the video of the upcomming game. A must have to the collection of LEGO video games I´d say. Quote

Dan the Brickman Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Im not really a HP fan (havent read any of the books/ or seen the movies) ...and Im not a girl, lol. However, I was not able to get any of the original series, and I think the HP sets had alot of neat little pieces I like to put into my castles. You will notice, If you compare the "regular" castles next to the HP line, the HP series had alot of interior accesories. I liked that. oh, and the books. gotta have more books! Quote
JimBee Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I haven't played a LEGO game in years (LSW II was the last one, I think), but I have to say, they've improved tremendously since LSW I. The game worlds in LHP seem much more expansive and interactive than previous Lego games, with more emphasis on Lego-built environments than the background ones (although both look really nice). I also like how the progress in the game is more exciting than it used to be - I remember LSW being very linear in some parts (defeat the droids, block shots, attack, rinse, repeat). I'm pretty excited for this game, now. Quote
10or Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I started playing the Indiana Jones LEGO game and really liked it then got Batman and it was even better. Then I went to the Star Wars and was shocked at how linear it was. I cannot wait to play the Harry Potter one because just from the previews it looks like the best. Looks even better than the EA ones I think that if it becomes very popular and successful they will make the Years 5-7 and probably LEGO will release some more sets. I mean Star Wars is still getting sets from past movies Quote
Jippon Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Just tried out the demo (it's live!) and must say that I'm a little dissapointed... The game looks very nice, but targeting spells doesn't allways work well and the level design (of the demo level at least) is very lineair. Using crusio on Harry with a death eater (Macnair is in the demo ) never gets old though. Quote

Well, you don't have to be a fan of the HP-franchise (or a girl either) to appreciate the magnificence of the Harry Potter LEGO sets. As you said, they offer a whole lot of pieces, prints and especially minifig parts that you can't get anywhere else. The downside of collecting HP-sets is that you get dozens upon dozens of Harry's heads and hairpieces, but I think that can be lived with. Quote

Jippon Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 (edited) You can target by holding down the x button, this way you can select items/persons you want to zap/turn in to rats. Edited June 10, 2010 by Jippon Quote
