tchuk-norst Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Those are australian prices right?... right?...*gulps* right? Thats just crazy!! and I have a feeling your wrong, the toyfair cards displaying the models said they were much cheaper then those ludicrous prices. They have to be, i mean that would be a little over the top even for LEGO especially since they look roughly the same size as previous Harry Potter sets. Quote

10or Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Thats Sok117 to you sir , These sets are looking really exciting the more I see them, any ideas for sets on the seventh book? remember spoilers everyone. I would think if they do continue and do DH sets that they could be: Grimmauld Place (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Kreacher, and then Lupin or Fletcher) Campsite (Harry, Ron, Hermione, silver doe) Ministry of Magic (The trio with double sided heads that feature the characters they change into, Umbridge, Dementor, Death Eater) Godrics Hollow (Harry, Hermione, Bathilda, Voldemort, Nagini) Malfoy Manor (the trio, Bellatrix, Dobby, Lucius, Death Eater) Gringotts (the trio, Griphook, dragon, another goblin) Shell Cottage (the trio, Bill, Fleur, Olivander, Griphook, Luna) Maybe a forbidden forrest, RoR, Great Hall for the final battle... Hard to tell though since some of the books in the scenes of course change on film I would like them to make more of the every year sets like a Privet Drive, Diagon Alley, and Grimmauld Place Quote
squidman85 Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 October and: $200 castle $130 train $100 Burrow $30 quidditch $70 I think for hagrid's hut I can't recall price for Dobby set, although I vaguely recall it being more expensive than I thought it would be. The sane in Russia. Quote

Big Brick Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 the dementor is now shown! they gave them a mouth! looks creepy! If you don't like the final head design, you can also turn the head the wrong way round... Then the Dementors should look like shown on fbtb's flickr-fotosteam. -Big Brick Quote
tchuk-norst Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 the dementor doesn't really look like the one in the sets, though I wish their cloaks were that ripped. But no we are stuck with the curved ridges for a scary cloak Quote
Clone OPatra Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 the dementor doesn't really look like the one in the sets, though I wish their cloaks were that ripped. What do you mean? Do you mean the picture doesn't look like what we saw at Toy Fair? If so, remember that nothing everything was completely finished at Toy Fair (the boxart certainly wasn't), so it's possible for the sets to change slightly before their release. What we see on the website might be a more accurate representation of the final product. Quote

I agree with Clone, I am sure these pics of the characters are more final than the Toy Fair Quote
Matn Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 (edited) The new Dementor looks really good, I'm glad they gave them a new design. However, the LEGO Dementors always had faces: I'm not sure which one to like more. I like the older version for the body underneath, and it stands on one stud. It looks like newer one stands on a bar into a dish.(EDIT: looks like it's the same, but the body just stands on a dish for presentation.) The arms don't look that good any more, a shame there aren't dark grey skeletons to replace them. But the newer one has an awesome cloak! And the mouth looks better. But maybe I'll just combine them. I can't wait to get them on my hands. Edited June 27, 2010 by Matn Quote
???theriddler??? Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 The Dementor looks scarier. Thanks for the picture. Shame they didn't use the new Dementor in the game. They did use a lot of the new changed characters from the new sets in the game. Quote
Sisco Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 I don't know. I just love the cloak on the new one, but the old one has that beautiful shade of green that made it a bit scarier... Quote

Ron, Hermione, Draco, Hooch, and Luna are all double sided heads. Ron has his mouth open looking scared, Hermione looks angry, Draco looks scared, Luna is without the specs, Hooch doesn't have her goggles on. Oh and it look like the head on Filch is different and the hair is gray. And it looks like they gave Voldemort black robes! Quote
Clone OPatra Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Great find 10or! Lego is certainly going for a cartoony feel with the boxarts, for the most part. The freeing Dobby one is ridiculously funny! Voldemort in black robes looks very good and fitting. The scared Ron face is a bit over the top, but I guess it's just trying to be kid-ish and cartoony. Not exactly my favorite choice, but I can see why LEGO chose that. Malfoy's upset face is also nice to be included, and isn't quite as cartoony as Ron's scared face. The Burrow is still the biggest win here in my mind. Ginny is appropriately old looking (meaning: not little kid), Bellatrix and Greyback are awesome, and the parents are pretty great too. It's only the little-kid print Harry that doesn't exactly fit too well, but what can you do. The model itself also looks very fitting to me, and it comes with a pig! Yes, the Burrow is one set where LEGO has completely outdone themselves. Quote

Yes, the Burrow is one set where LEGO has completely outdone themselves. The Burrow is my most wanted set of 2010. The figures are stunning, and the model is the only one of this wave that is completely original. The little details and accessories (and pig ) just make it that much better. As far as Harry looking like a little kid, I think swapping his hair out for the new generic male hair (The tousled one used on Mutt in IJ) would make him look older, as his hair is short in the more recent movies. I'm not too excited for the traditional summer sets, but I am wicked excited for the new Harry Potter ones. Quote

YG-49 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 My LEGO magazine arrived today, so I can describe some of the little details you can't see on the site. -Everything about Filch is new. I'm not sure I like his face, because it has a huge mouth which makes him look like a toad.. His pants have printing: Hanging keys. There is also a printed face dark tan Mrs. Norris. - Voldemort does indeed have black robes now. - Molly has dark tan legs. (although you could probably see that from the zoom.) - Dumbedore has all new prints. - The Dementor looks much different than what was in that pic from the official site. -Fenrir has a double-sided head also.
