blhc11 Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Great Scott, Grogall! Where did you find these great pics? Thank you for posting this, or maybe I shouldn't say that because I was already gonna buy most of these sets, being one of the sets that I wouldn't buy the Hogwarts castle... nw that I saw the great pics I'm wishing that they made money trees... then again I don't have a backyard. I know I probably should wait for another post, but does anyone know if there are gonna be any store exclusives and what sets we might be expecting early next year?(since the year 3 trailer for LHP:Y1-4 I have expected a new Knight Bus(=D)...) So I'd still like to know estimated prices for Europe(I'm sorry if someone already posted and I didn't notice...) Cheers. By- the one guy who still has a cellphone with a black and white screen... That is bad even for TRU! I was at one today, and was unable to find any, which one were you at? It would suprise me if they are not widely available a week from now at TRU. The markup on the Castle is ridiculous . Siriusly! Sirius Quote

Sirius I got an email from them yesterday saying I could pre order them. I was redirected to a website and there they were. I read a comment on bricklink saying the markup was crazy. Quote
Omega 8 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I too got the TRU mail and was flabbergasted to see the insane mark up. I expect the typical +$5 that is now standard at TRU but OMG..... $15 for a $10 set? +$10 on the Burrow and Hogwarts express? +$20!!! on Hogwarts? Double U Tee Eff Quote
SuperChris Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 (edited) I just had a thought, I could save a lot of money on these sets if I order them from the USA to the UK. Most of the prices are £20 cheaper, which sounds good to me. It is possible to do that, right? EDIT: It isn't. Didn't think it would be, but worth a try! Edited September 10, 2010 by SuperChris Quote

Plus, you probably wouldn't be saving anything, even if they are cheaper here...what about international shipping? I'm sure that would cancel any saving on the price... Quote

I read a comment on bricklink saying the markup was crazy. Pity, i thought that you meant that you had seen them in stores. I will expect them to be in my local store by next Thursday. And yes, this has to be the WORST markup that i have seen yet, maybe enough to make me wait until another store has them. Sirius Quote
Baylego Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Silly TRU . This is worse than the $3.00 minifigs! I am still eagerly awating to find these in stores. Can't wait for the first US sighting! Quote
CMP Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 For once, I think I'm just going to order these on the website. Quote
eric87 Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 TRU does mark up their prices. but i bet all the harry potter stuff will be on sale as soon as they get it. just like the toy story stuff was. Quote

Sirius If I were you, I'd at least get the Hogwarts Express and Hogwarts from S@H. You can at least get free shipping this month. I can handle a few dollar markup...but, anything above $5 is a bit much. Makes me happy I got them from S@H. Saved a bit of money! More legos for me! Quote
10or Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Who else loves Dumbledore having a two sided head? It is great! I am very happy LEGO did that!! (Review on the frontpage) Want Hogwarts even more now!!!! Did anyone else notice that on the Hogwarts Express the passenger carriage looks like it has actual seat than just the benches like before? 10or Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 (edited) I was going to order Hogwarts off of S@H, but if would be the same price even without the shipping if I buy it at Target or Wallmart because of the tax(if the prices stay the same as S@H, stupid TRU) plus I won't have to wait for it to arrive. So my game plan for the sets is: Burrow first Freeing Dobby Quidditch Hogwarts then Hogwarts Express and Hagrid's Hut if they go on sale, or just Bricklink for the figs Edited September 11, 2010 by 10or Quote
CMP Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 They're being sold at Bricklink. Exorbitant prices, but they appear to be listed as Order of the Phoniex. Quote
10or Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 hey guys, just a quick thing. If you are looking for a great hair piece for Trelawney, then the new Pop star minifigs hair piece is great for her. (IMO) just received it from brick link and Trelawney looks great now. And if you want the Lucius Malfoy cane, then the Pharaoh cane is good, just need to paint it black. If you want I could post pics of what they look like. (sorry if post doesn't belong here, it is just that many of the LEGO Harry Potter fans see this page) Quote

Here's a link: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=37209 Be sure to include a picture of Trelawney! :P ~MC EDIT: Wow that's almost perfect! It's a little too "made-up" for Trelawney, but closest we have! Very awesome! I need to get one before they run out! Edited September 16, 2010 by MrCustomizer Quote

Sirius Black Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Lucius is spot-on! Great job on his cane especially. I would be curious to learn how you did that, as it is a good replica. Sirius Quote
