The interior for the white building is really lame. I'm going to get some plates and a baseplate and modify it. Quote

Kind of helps justify his presence in the set (it'll be easier for people to recognize that this is supposed to be a bad guy/convict, even if they don't necessarily remember his role in the books/films). It could also of course be Sirius or some other figure, but it better resembles Fenrir from what I can see. Also something that's bugged me since Diagon Alley was first revealed: the magical pets sign gives prices for owls, bats, and cats. There are owls and bats in the set, but not a single cat. Unless LEGO's been hiding one... (i.e. accidentally failed to photograph it with the official pics). Also Borgin & Burke's is gorgeous in the second pic, but I wish there were a little more interior detail. In the very least they could have crammed a checkout counter in there to fill out some of that empty space. Granted, the Vanishing Cabinet would fill in part of the space and the figs of Lucius Malfoy and Fenrir (plus any others from other sets like Bellatrix) would take up even more. Still, the place looks awfully empty without the figs present and I wish they'd done something about that. Quote
Aethersprite Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Hey guys. I've only been recently interested in the HP line. Well, aside from the Diagon Alley, will there be any sets next year? More specifically, sets from the Deathly Hallows movie? I mean, Toy Story went this route, releasing sets from past movies before moving on to the latest one. Thanks. Quote
Aanchir Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 In case anybody's interested, I was checking the LEGO Magazine Flashback section of the LEGO Club website and found this PDF. It's an alternate model the the Burrow. Not sure if this is the same "alternate model" that was going to be given out with early orders of all six Harry Potter sets (normally this section is for stuff you get with club codes, but that has a little icon saying so most of the time I think), but it looks pretty cool. People who own the Burrow or are interested in building this with LDD or other replacement parts should take a look! Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Most interesting. I'll build it when I get the Burrow. Quote
Ravenclaw2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Oh I just saw the express has now a little animation like all the other sets on the lego page :D I noticed that too. I like the animation, but it has a Hermione instead of a Ginny. It also shows Luna's reverse face.(YAY!) Quote

Biggest problem I see, if you already built the burrow. The front window to the right of the door is the base of the clock. One of two things, you'd have to take off the sticker or have a pendulum in the window. Edited October 28, 2010 by Legocrazy81 Quote

Hewman Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Anyone? An odd question, I know, but still. It's not an odd question, but no-one here knows yet. If there are, they won't be out until the second half of the year so it's too far away to have much reliable information. Quote
Ravenclaw2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Anyone? An odd question, I know, but still. I don't know, but I really hope there is! I mean, sets from the Deathly Hallows would be wonderful. I hope they make some of the sets from the Harry Potter Ideas Collection... Quote

I hope they make some of the sets from the Harry Potter Ideas Collection... Since LEGO will presumably be releasing a "LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7" video game, it seems likely that there would also be physical sets. With a movie as hyped as the Harry Potter films, there's no reason LEGO wouldn't want to cash in in as many ways as possible. Fact is, though, that LEGO has done a ridiculously good job of keeping their licensed themes under wraps in the past year. I imagine that it certainly won't be until 2011 actually arrives that we'll know about the 2011 wave of Harry Potter sets, and even then the first pictures will probably be from a ToyFair somewhere in the world, not from a leaked catalog as has been the case with most of the other 2011 sets we've learned about. My twin brother is holding out for a Ministry of Magic set. Quote

CMP Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 They've used up their big exclusive Ministry of Magic chance by doing Diagon Alley instead. I have no problem with that. Quote
Vindicare Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 They've used up their big exclusive Ministry of Magic chance by doing Diagon Alley instead. I have no problem with that. Why do you say that? Because Diagon Alley is an exclusive? If so, then maybe. But I'm still hopeful they'll make more, coinciding with the movies, it would make sense to make a Ministry of Magic set. Quote
Primusman Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Something amazing just happened! I walked into London Drugs, and found the new castle for only 140 dollars, regular 175 Canadian! That's a savings of 35 bucks! Any of you living in Canada should check out their local London Drugs! Quote
SuperChris Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 UK Toys R Us stores have a 3 - 2 deal on this weekend! I'm taking advantage of it by buying 2 Hagrid's Huts and a Burrow! Quote
10or Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) I really like how ToysRUs is putting the sets as "on sale" and they are only marked down as their intended price. Got the Hogwarts Express! LOVE IT! Edited November 14, 2010 by 10or Quote
