badboytje88 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 It would be great to have all four of the factions represented in LEGO. I've been using the old hogwarts torso for my ravenclaw and huffelpuff students, which works pretty well in my opinion. Quote
Jar Jar Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 All of this very promising! Luna and Bellatrix will be SUPERB! Anyone know if Hermione will have her double-sided head (the sleeping one)? Quote
SuperChris Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 In the overall Lego press release, we get an idea for pricing. Looks like the prices posted a few pages ago, were correct. Building adventure returns to Hogwarts™ with LEGO HARRY POTTER™ as Harry, Ron, Hermione, Hagrid and iconic, constructible locations and scenes from the November movie launch in August ($10.99 - $129.99). At the same time, gamers rejoice over the May release of the LEGO HARRY POTTER: Years 1-4 video game. £100 for the Castle is looking likely. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/le...r-84232952.html Quote
Ravenxl7 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 (edited) Anyone know if Hermione will have her double-sided head (the sleeping one)? Personally, I'd be surprised if she had it. Seems like it would only be a GoF sort of thing, and the minifigures probably won't be aimed at any one specific year/event. Though at the same time, part of me is hoping that Dumbledore has a black hand, to represent his injury, and yet at the same time I'm hoping they go back to the older styled robes for him. $129.99 actually sounds kind of cheap for what I was expecting from the new Hogwarts castle set. At that price I seriously doubt if it's a combination and upgrade of the three previously released sets. Yet at the same time I'm glad to see it won't be ubber expensive. Dobby's release is, probably, the only $10.99 set. Personally I'm hoping they make more than the six we know about. Hopefully if they sell well enough, Lego will continue making them for a little while. Edited February 13, 2010 by Ravenxl7 Quote
Derek Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Personally, I'd be surprised if she had it. Seems like it would only be a GoF sort of thing, and the minifigures probably won't be aimed at any one specific year/event. As much as I want her to have a new face, it's the one she had in the OOTP castle and, from what I can tell, the video game... So I wouldn't exactly be shocked if she had the "groggy" head... Quote
Inconspicuous Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Luna and Bellatrix, new house torsos, and what sounds like a superb and not way expensive Castle.... it just keeps getting better and better! I really hope we can see these sets finally at the Toy Fair. The suspense.... Quote
Dadster Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Thanks for the heads-up from the Leaky Cauldron site. I haven't been there in quite some time... I hope there is a set that also has a Hufflepuff-colored torso to go along with the aforementioned Ravenclaw-colored torso (assuming Luna isn't in "street clothes"). Can't remember when the next movie is due out, but I'm sure the street sale date will be good for 2010 Holiday sales... Quote
Sandy Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Wohoo, Luna! She's my all-time favorite HP-character, so I'm really psyched. Although, with the exception of the school uniform, I can already make a perfect Luna minifig from the blonde Willie Scott's hairpiece in the Temple of Doom set and the old Marion Ravenwood head from the Lost Tomb set. MrCustomizer Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I did the exact same thing!! That's hilarious. Anyways I'm so happy I get a Luna figure! She's my favorite character. I can't wait for pictures! ~MC Quote
EspEth12 Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I hope we get some pictures of the sets tomorrow at the NY toy fair! Quote
CMP Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 I'm probably not going to buy any of these, lack of funds, but I am indeed surpprised to hear about the in-depth figs. Luna and Bellatrix...awesome. Quote

Christian Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Look in the background. It seems to be the new Hogwarts Castle. Pic Quote

blueandwhite Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 The Harry Potter sets really look to be a throwback to the original two years. The figures are quite nice, but the sets themselves feel a bit uninspired IMO. I'm not really keen on the new door on Hagrid's hut which looks strikingly similar to the previous version. Hogwarts Express and Hogwarts Castle also look a bit redundant. These look like they will be great parts packs for MOCers, but I'm not overly impressed. Quote
Ravenxl7 Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) Look in the background. It seems to be the new Hogwarts Castle.Pic Can\'t really see much, but what I do see looks really good. Definitely looks like Harry and Mcgonagall there at the front. Looks like it could be Hermione and Crookshanks there on the upper level. Looking at the packaging, it looks like there is either a Dementor or a Death Eater in the set. Also, what we see is either just a part of the set, or it\'s a seperate/smaller set that can be added to the main castle set. The part that\'s visible seams to be the main tower, or at least it looks like it could be. You can see the three smaller towers branching off of it\'s roof that forms Dumbledore\'s office. Actually, looking at it closer, the box i was assuming was for the castle set, looks like it\'s the Burrow set\'s box. So the flames and Death Eater looking figure make sense now. Part of the box for the castle set can be seen, but not much of it. Can\'t wait to see more. Edit: Just saw the added pictures. The Burrow looks good. Definitely looks like this is the set that'll contain Bellatrix. Might get it, might not. Nice remake of Hagrid's hut, though looks a little smaller than I was expecting. Hagrid and the trio look nice. I really like how they gave him his umbrella/wand. The acromantula is unexpected, but a nice thing to include. Though I would have preferred a couple of thestrals. This set looks better than I had expected. Definitley not the final packaging, lol. It's nice to see Madam Hooch and Wood made in this set. It's hard not to like this set. It's smaller than I was expecting, and not really a remake of the older sets, but more along the lines of a completely new set based off of the same castle. It's hard to tell who all is getting included in the set, but I do see Dumbledore, Snape, Harry, Mcgonagall, Hermione, Ginny, and a couple of dementors. It's a little hard to tell, but the castle itself looks like it's made up of the great hall, the main tower, the astronomy tower, and what could be Dumbledore's office. Wasn't expecting to like this set, but it is nice. One of the reasons I may get it is because it looks as though it's the one that has Luna in it, plus the car would look nice next to the Burrow set. Not a bad set, but not an amazing one. Might get it for Dobby and Lucious, and to somehow work the other pieces into the castle set. Edited February 14, 2010 by Ravenxl7 Quote
Eskallon Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 (edited) I like some aspects of these sest but am disappointed with many things, no other house uniforms and the sets don't attract me too much. I will yet still get them all and review them before incorperating them into a large (bloody huge) hogwarts ground. Edit:You missed this one: Edited February 14, 2010 by Eskallon Quote
gladiator Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Finally... Thanks for the great picture !! I really love all the harry potter minifigures, cant hardly wait the new clearer pictures soon. Quote
