Christoph Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) I was wondering. Can I change my position? I don't have the right bricks to make a good Gentleman's Club and I know someone can do it much better. So may I change my Gentlemans Club too 11. Dentists Office?EDIT: Opp's Never mind, I See its been asked for. I think the list needs a update, its rather confusing! However if Christoph would want to trade, Im fine with that. For me the Gentlemans club would hard as well. I don't really have any gentlemen, so I would prefer to keep the dentists office. But if you badly want the dentist, may be we can find a third trading partner. I also wouldn't mind if we would have two dentists in town. In the early 18th century dental hygiene was probably not a top priority, so there should be enough work for both of us... Edited January 7, 2010 by Christoph Quote
Ratshot Posted January 7, 2010 Author Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) If still available I would like to do the Constable's Office. Best Regards// Admiral Red-Hair Its yours Im confused, Ratshot said there's a place for a port, but does that mean the second dock area? Im not sure what ive been put down to do Originally you stated that you wanted to build a port but you thought that there wasn't room, so I sent you a PM to make sure that you knew that there was a port still to be taken. I'm putting you down for the port do to your original interest in it. I can change this if you like. i hope u don't mine but my son and I would love to do the 37:CONSTABLE'S OFFICE Sorry, but its already taken For me the Gentlemans club would hard as well. MetroiD Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Just a suggestion, but I think that the Community Build Entries thread would be much more neatly arranged if participants just posted one photo of their MOC along with a short explanation, leaving the other pics and detailed backstories for the separate MOC: thread... Steel Dragon Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Man, no one loves the Islanders... Could I take a #48 adjacent to the one I'm already down for, and do a 16x32? Thanks in advance! Quote

Seems reasonable. One less-cluttered entry thread coming right up. (by which I mean I'll edit my own post. Can't do anything about anyone else) Edited January 8, 2010 by Tereglith Quote

Pellaeon Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I'd like the Commons (55), if it's still available. It seems like it could be fun, and it'd give me an excuse to order some more food pieces! Quote

That's precisely what I had in mind... of course there should be a link to the MOC thread :) Tereglith - thanks for being so quick to react mate :) You're probably right, two pics also look just right, especially bearing in mind one's required for the photoediting at the end of the Build. Cheers & happy building, fellow swashbucklers! Quote

Admiral Red-Hair Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 A question: Is any overhang on the building allowed, or does the building have to be within the area of the baseplate (either 16x16, 16x32 or 32x32 depending on what building you have choosen)? With overhang I mean something like a lamp that sticks out from the wall, or giving the wall some "structure", or having the roof stick out a little. So the over-hang is like a stud or two, not more. Otherwise the building might seem a bit "boxy"... Regards// Admiral Red-Hair Quote
Erdbeereis Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 we will take the community hall Let's wait until your break is over, and then we'll see. Quote

I don't care if there is a lamp hanging off the wall or a person sticking there head out the window, its the building itself that matters. Rat. Quote

kespa Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Hi , my name is Kespa. I have been a spectator on this board for a while.( I personally dislike the use of the word lurker/lurking. I won't dispute its public use.) If it is not to late, I would like building #24. Community Hall. Sincerely Kespa Quote

Steel Dragon Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 48. Islanders Village (x3) - Steel Dragon, Steel Dragon again, This made my day. NO ONE HAS TAKEN THE THIRD VILLAGE? Uggh, I don't think I could pull off a 16 x 48 village, but it doesn't look like anyone else is interested. Here, I'll give it a day. If no ones taken it by this time tomorrow, you can put me down for ALL THREE islander villages. ( , , , count 'em.) ...what have I gotten myself into... Quote
Ratshot Posted January 10, 2010 Author Posted January 10, 2010 It's yours if no one has taken it by Monday morning. Quote
Grimmy Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) You're in Grimmy. I've been terribly sick with a cold for days. But today was the day my niece stays over and we've been wanting to go to the Lego shop. Niece grabbed a handful of brown tile plates for the PaB large cup. We got pieces for the community house 30 build. We also got the NEW AWESOMEEEEEeeeeEEeeeee Imperial Flagship! The one built on display really showed how great and huge it is! My niece was amazed! She wanted to carry the box by herself even though it's almost bigger then her lol. Her little head was popping over the box List: Bellville: (In sale bin) food place mate with fairy picture on it. $2.50 Pirates: 10120 Imperial Flagship Toy Story: 7595 Army Men on Patrol 620 Blue Building Plate 32x32 $5 ...and 4 FREE Atlantis Shark Warrior key chains. We spent about $400. They're very kewl. Niece really liked hers. My mother even has one because she also bought a Imperial Flagship. Their was 3 on the shelf but after we left only 1 was there. I imagine they had more in the back. Well that's it. Just wanted to share the fun. Building this should give lots of inspiration for the community build. P/S For the month of February the free thing for that month is a 3 minifig build pack which is great because right now the minifig parts are pirates! They have tons of pirate hats with crossbones too! For some strange reason the new Imperial Flagship's BrickBread doesn't have a skull N'cross bones print on his hat!
