Posted January 6, 201015 yr I couldn't come up with a clever name for my first attempt at a Modular Cafe Corner style building. I built the first level with good friend Svelte a week ago and then completed the top two levels later. There is a real clash of colours on this creation unfortunately, but as I am moving the whole house around, I have decided to call it finished for now. The bottom floor has an Erdy Icecream chain shop and the entrance to the Chinese resturant up above. The other floors have no interior to date. Hope you like. ISC. January 6, 201015 yr Hello! A great addition to the line of modular buildings! I find that entrance most impressive! All those 1x2 curved bricks pointing in two different directions give it a unique look I have not seen before. Excellent! Cheers, ~ Christopher
January 6, 201015 yr Awesome job! I like how you used the round bricks and round plates for the window trim
January 6, 201015 yr AWESOME modular MOC !!!!! Love the ice cream shop, especially the ice cream display freezer !!!! The arch way is also an interesting design and also that staircase - Hmm - very goooood ! Keep up the fantastic work 'I Smurf Clones' ! (what's with all these Smurf's.....?)
January 6, 201015 yr Yays! It's great to see the finished version. The dark tan and dark green accents work well together, and the design cleverly maximises your limited stock of dark green. I love the little cherry tree design for the entrance to the restaurant (and little pool). Even the lighter tan brickwork of the icecream shop looks good - maybe tweaking the awning colours only would make it more visually consistent.
January 6, 201015 yr Now, this is a great modular building ! I really like the way you made the entrance of the chinese restaurant... Those curves are smart !
January 6, 201015 yr Great work ISC! The entrance looks fantastic and all the columns on the front produce a great result! The roof's glass structure is beautiful and the colour scheme is really eye-capturing! Dark tan with dark green make a unique combination! Dark green... Thanks for sharing! I couldn't come up with a clever name for my first attempt at a Modular Cafe Corner style building. ...said the man with the million names.
January 6, 201015 yr Wonderful, simply wonderful! Full of great details as the interior of the Ice Cream Shop but I must say a special BRAVO for that lovely arched entry, as delicious to look at as having an ice cream next door
January 6, 201015 yr ...said the man with the million names. I also found that somewhat hard to believe... But well, I guess we all have such moments :P Anyway... the arch entry! The glass roof!!! The coffee-drinking lass who's just tripped!!! THE ARCH ENTRY!!! Erm, I guess you got it. I love that arch. The MOC's full of wonderful details, even if I too must agree that it could do with a few colour tweaks here and there. It must have been a most intriguing build though and it boasts a fascinating facade which looks perfect alongside the Green Grocer. Bravo! P.S.: On a sidenote - you might want to stop smurfing, while you still can. I hear it's bad for you... Edited January 6, 201015 yr by TheOtters
January 6, 201015 yr Fantastic, I really like the entrance, not seen anything like that before. I think it's really only the awning colours that let it down a bit, they're just a little too distracting.
January 6, 201015 yr Great MOC. I really like how you did the windows. Very cool design with lots of detail. The roof was a nice touch as well.
January 7, 201015 yr Really nice modular building. As others have said, the windows and all the decorations on the front are really innovative. The arch, while certainly being original looks a little over-detailed to me. Also, you can look up the undersides of the bricks ( ) on the side, which I don't really like. The shop could do with an (strawberry) ice cream sign though. But very good job overall!
January 7, 201015 yr Author Thanks for taking the time to comment people. Glad you all like the archway, stairs and ice cream shop. It may be as simple as changing the awnings colour to stop the colour clash. Cheers. ISC. I also found that somewhat hard to believe... But well, I guess we all have such moments :PAnyway... the arch entry! The glass roof!!! The coffee-drinking lass who's just tripped!!! THE ARCH ENTRY!!! You would trip too looking at the cracks in the sidewalk on this street Really nice modular building. As others have said, the windows and all the decorations on the front are really innovative. I would have liked a sign for the ice cream shop or chinese resturant, but ran out of time before moving the house around. I might try a different Modular build one day. So the arches are over detailed yet you want me to close in the open base of the bricks? Svelte and I mucked around with this for a while before getting to the end product, detailed but not too much.

I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. It certainly is an amazingly innovative technique you tried there.
January 7, 201015 yr The outer wall is a wonderful touch. I really like the ice cream cone. Of course the shop is nice as well, but I especially like that feature.
January 7, 201015 yr Great minds think alike! We will take over the world, one ice cream shop at a time. This is a really nice MOC ISC. My favorite part is the lovely entrance with those curved bricks. Very original. Great work!
January 7, 201015 yr Amazing. I've placed your moc at my website: Bricks4life, if you don't mind. Good detail .
January 7, 201015 yr This is ten times better than any of TLCs modular buildings. I love the new techniques. The choice of colours is good with many features adding to the originality Well Done, I can't wait until the next MOC.

January 7, 201015 yr You have too much time on your hands buddy, you spit out one great MOC after another! So fly over here, i have some more projects for you.. It looks great, great colours and really innovative use of parts on the ornaments, the arch of the stairway being my favourite. Great!
January 7, 201015 yr What a great moc with many fine details, I Clone Smurfs! (maybe that's the reason of the smurfing week here )
January 8, 201015 yr Great attempt ISC! Very lovely, so that's what you and Svelte are busy building over the weeks. It's definitely a great addition to the existing cafe corner structure. Well done. This has been featured in Classic-Town.net.
