Sorry to revive a topic thats been gone this long, but rather thatn creating a whole new topic I wanted to put it here instead. What do people think about the battle of geonosis, and the battle of Naboo being listed in the classic section? The paragraph above that section reads:

"Recreate the adventures that launched Star Wars™ into the stratosphere. With LEGO® Star Wars Classic, you can build intricately detailed fighters, enter the heart of the Death Star™, do battle with Darth Vader™ and more. Whether you’re an avid collector of classic Star Wars toys or you’re just getting started, our authentic buildable models and Star Wars minifigure action figures will bring the stories of Princess Leia™, Han Solo™ and Luke Skywalker™ to life."

So what do you think OT fans? CW fans? is CW invading your OT only section? or are you Ok with it?

LEGO S@H tends to have a poor track record with keeping the categories clean. It seems like every wave, they put PT sets in with the OT, or OT sets in with CW. It could very well be that the web designers that are creating or updating the pages aren't SW fans, and it isn't enough of a deal to get it updated when they do get into the wrong sub-category.

Now, if a SW set ended up in Belville, or a Town set ended up in SW, I think we have the right to get up in arms. But I've never seen that happen.

I'm sure the swamp speeder is based on ROTS. I rewatched the movie after the set was released, and the speeder was on Felucia with Aayla Secura. But, according to comics and the novelization, Barriss Offee was on Felucia also. As for the ARC-170, we have now seen it in TCW series, but the figs are based on ROTS, specifically Captain Jag, so it should be considered ROTS.

Personally, it's all part of the same story. I perfer OT, then OT, then CW. And I think that as CW goes on, we'll see some more ROTS ships. How Lego classifies then doesn't matter a bit, and doesn't offend me a bit. I don't really like the CW faces, but some are ok, and I don't have a problem mixing them.

Honestly, CW is not nearly the "abomination" that some would say it is. Even older folks who cut there teeth on the OT can enjoy CW.... just give it a chance!

well LEGO categorized them as Clone Wars at S@H

but that never is reliable..

I say ROTS because weren't these remakes of the ROTS sets?

I personally don't mind if these are Clone Wars..

In my opinion

Swamp Speeder is both but more towards the "Clone Wars end" of the spectrum in my opinion, because the Jedi in the set appears in "The Clone Wars". I don't remember her appearing in ROTS. Her face is not too cartoonish but still recognizable as Barris. With the dot eyes, sometimes non star wars fan can't recognize characters. Barris' face print is the best type of face in my opinion.

The ARC-170 Fighter is ROTS in my opinion. The pilots have dot type eyes.

Bariss was a part of the ROTS, and SW universe before the TV show. She was on felucia when order 66 hit.

This isn't the first time; Anakin's Delta-7B was listed under Classic as well. Personally, it doesn't really bother me as far as Battle of Naboo is concerned. Ep. 1 is over 10 years old now, enough to be considered classic by the targeted audience of CW. I remember Lucas saying that CW is intended for 6-8 year-olds (and don't get me started on whether that makes CW good or not, 'cause that's a discussion for another day), for whom the majority of PT predates them or their memories. I can understand TLG wanting to distinguish between OT/PT and CW for those purposes, and I think Battle for Geonosis is just a mistake. Although I think it would have been better as 'Saga' and 'Clone Wars'.

What is ROTC?

Bariss Offee was clearly seen in the Geonosis Arena battle in AOTC, And the set comes with a Phase 2 Clone, which currently only appear in ROTS.

Classic, I'm pretty sure, means the Saga. The Palpatines Shuttle set is still listed under classic, and usually they sort things out quickly enough. The Battle for Geonosis is obviously CW if you've seen the Landing at Point Rain story arch.

Sorry, I meant ROTS

I guess I missed the part where she was on Geonosis but that wouldn't be ROTS.

All the PT sets have always been listed under classic so Battle of Naboo is listed where all the other EP I sets always have been. Not that there's been very many lately. Battle of Geonosis will probably be moved to the CW section eventually. When the summer 2010 sets first came out, they listed the AT-AT in the CW section for about a month.
