Ricecracker Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Wow, this looks amazing, especially after the changes! Is this based on any truck in particular? I assume it's not based on a unibody, so, going off that assumption, I'd suggest trying to make a 1/2 plate gap between the cab and the bed. Use jumper plates on the bottom plates connecting the two parts. Also, might I suggest joining WHACKOLUG? Quote
JayDuck Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Looking good! The straight sides with running boards, relocated tail lights, and the shortened wheelbase really improved the look of your truck. The bed box is great as well. I really like the trailer, too. I might just make one like it myself. If I might make a suggestion, you might try substituting a pair of 2 x 3 tiles with clips (part 30350) for the ramps, those mudflaps look a bit too short. Quote
sens1992 Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Wow, nice MOC. Nice truck complete with its trailer. I agree, the city line is missing a pick up truck. Meanwhile, I say that yours would be one I would buy if it would be for sale. Good job. Quote
legomaniac83 Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 Thanks for all the replies everyone! Ralph - I agree on the tail lights, they look much better, and glad you approve! Ricecracker - I thought about the gap, and tried a few things, but did't seem right. Might be the fact that this is used for the base: 52037. And I just might look into WHACKOLUG.....I am a member of ParLUGment in Ottawa, but haven't been to a meeting there since my relocation. JayDuck - I never thought of those 2x3 tiles, and I do have two light grey ones from set 1253. They look much better. Keep the comments comming! Quote

Yeah, I try not to use that piece as a base for trucks; I find it too limiting. You really should look into WHACKOLUG, I think you'd enjoy it. Quote
