Legoliner Pilot Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 My Town needs a name... Can you help? It's in my son's bedroom... go figure! Quote
Steel Dragon Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Linerton? Pilotville? The ones which self-reference are often the best, ie Shakleton's town of Shackleton) Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I like the painting on the wall behind it, who made that? You're lucky to have space, something I really lack. It's a nice and busy town as I see, why not Planeton? (Kinda like Kingston, but with planes.) Quote
prateek Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 You could name it after your son, since it is in his room. ...or you can name it after me Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted January 10, 2010 Author Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) I like the painting on the wall behind it, who made that? You're lucky to have space, something I really lack. It's a nice and busy town as I see, why not Planeton? (Kinda like Kingston, but with planes.) My children's grandmother (my parents) with the help of my wife when our son was in first grade [2004]. He had an obsession with Hot Wheels (R ) and the painting is based on some picture from a coloring book, belive or not . The photo was taken on my son's bed (its a desk on the bottom, bed on the top). Here are some more pictures of the mural: (The scribbled out part is my son's name, which I would rather not share on the internet) Hmm... That just made me think of a name.... Pilotair! What do you guys think? Edited January 10, 2010 by Legoliner Pilot Quote
Rapseflaps Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Brickburg. Or, since you're Dutch, I suggest Steenstad. Quote

JCC1004 Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) He had a fetish for Hot Wheels AFOL's always misuse the word fetish. It means to have a sexual interest in something. So your son had a sexual interest in Hotwheels? As for your town's name, it does have quite a few planes but it's not only aviation. Also I believe Pilotair is used for something else. Your son should name it since it's in his room. My color broke. Edited January 10, 2010 by JCC1004 Quote
RocketClone Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Bricksdale, or IROL? (International Republic of Lego) Quote

Zorbas Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Since I can see that aviation is something you really like, (well, excluding your name, your avatar-sigfig and the airplane and helicopter sets above your city, it's not THAT obvious... ) you could name it something like Icaria or Ikaria, named after the first man who conquered the skies, Icarus. There is an island here in Greece actually that has that name because it is believed that Icarus fell near the island. That's all mythology of course. Ohhh, listen to me.... I sound like a history teacher... Sorry... Quote

Col. Brik Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Since you share the hobby with your Son. I'd suggest taking your last name and make a name from that. We did with ours. Quote
Rick Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Dutch? I was born in America! Heh heh. I am American. Naaah, you're Dutch, stop denying it, we're all Dutch... At first I though you had built skyscrapers in the top-right corner of the table, bit it turned out to be your storage area. Quote
Rapseflaps Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Dutch? I was born in America! Heh heh. I am American. Whoops. Well, in that case, Steenstad is mine. Lay off it! Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Well here's my two cents worth. Since well aircraft play an important part of that towns life, including a name of a famous aircraft or pilot would be my idea anyway. Something like Concord from the famous aircraft or Kingsford-Smith, one of the most famous pioneers of around the world flying (who was never found after the 'Lady of The Southern Cross' disappeared just like a another famous lady of the skies).
