Governor Mister Phes Posted January 29, 2006 Governor Posted January 29, 2006 I don't get what the prank is... Someone explain it to me... Quote
Zane Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 I was double-bluffing. Because before I put AVATAR SET REVEALED!!!! as a topic title, and it was a prank, and so I was making it seem that this was a prank for double 'amazement' when the set was seen. TT Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 29, 2006 Governor Posted January 29, 2006 I was double-bluffing. Cuz before I out AVATAR SET REVEALED!!!!, and it was a prank, and so I was making it seem that this wasa prank for double amazement when the set was seen.TT I'm not sure if we're speaking the same language here but that explaination didn't make any sense to me whatsoever! You lose me at "Cuz before I out AVATAR SET REVEALED!!!!" - exactly what does that mean? Quote
Zane Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 That was a typo, heh. Meant to put 'put'. I put that title on another topic, which was a joke, so I did the same on this one, but this one isn't a joke.... :oD TT Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 29, 2006 Governor Posted January 29, 2006 I must have missed the other topic you're referring to. So if this one isn't a joke, then why do you think it would need to be moved to the Community Forum? This seems a very appropriate place to be posting information about upcoming Knights Kingdom sets. Zane Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 That was part of the joke, too. The entire post was supposed to look like a joke, but when the reader clicks the link they realize it's not a joke. Looks like the 'pass' goes back a bit, because the sides that face each other don't have any wells, and seem to go back a bit....if y'know what I mean. TT Quote
sam89 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Look what I've just found when I translated the page: LEGO - Knights Kingdom < 10176 Royal King Castles > July sale schedule :oo Quote

Cutty Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 hmmm Lego did part with the brick after all...now we get fuzzy blurry...things...ugh ^^ well, from what I CAN make out on the box, it's gotta feature at least 1 catapult. and minifigs, (yeah minifigs!) that fight to the deaths of them. can you spell epic? yes I think we will see an epic combat once this set hits shelves. FYI i am right now in a state of mind i cannot describe. but it makes me type weird things. no i don't do drugs people...oh never mind...i'll go to sleep... Quote
Christian Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Look what I've just found when I translated the page:LEGO - Knights Kingdom < 10176 Royal King Castles > July sale schedule :oo hmm... even more interesting. It seems to be a S@H exclusive set, which could be why we havent heard about that one yet. The battle at the pass set looks really cool, even though that the pictures is so blurry that you barely cant see a thing. Quote
john cleese Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 i think what TT is saying, is the joke lies in the fact that this isnt a real set and it seems to bring back some of legos old techniques and also looks less junioriized. How this is funny and not just annoying though, is beyond me. Then again he might be saying this is a real set and he thought it was funny to give both topics the same name, which isnt particullarly funny either. :| Quote
Zane Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 Ooh....I wish I hadn't said a thing. The point is that people think this is a joke when they see the topic title and read the post. BUT when they click the link they realise it isn't actually a joke, and thus are surprised... TT Quote

rew12 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 No battle in Battle at the Pass! Where are the armies??? Quote
Evil Willy Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Well rew excuse me if im wrong but it looks to have quite a bit of MF's...And I dont know if im right but the walls seem to be...Tan? and lots of big pieces >:( Quote
sam89 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 I'm pretty sure the walls are grey. There are big pieces, but none that haven't been used before. Quote

ROFL- this IS funny :oD A meta discussion on wether the comparison to something which wasn't considered funny could be funny. Hilarious... You sure know how to post funny things Toa T. :oD *satis* |-D :-D BTW The new KK sets look more castle than ever - ordinary footmen... one day it might even become close to the good ol' castle sets with "real" castles and armies to command and conquer enemy territory with.... Cyclonis Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Well...that went by rather uncomfortably. :/ Quote

blueandwhite Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Have you noticed 4 green guys with silver helmets and golden armors (one of them is holding a crossbow)? Could they be GOOD SOLDIERS in KK2? :oD BTW, there are quite many cart things in this set. And, who is attacking and who is defending??? Well, there are more questions then answers about this set... What's interesting here is that the battle is not between the typical Shadow Knights, or King what's-his-face's soldiers. Instead, we have an army of Green and Yellow soldiers who presumably serve under the new Green maxifig Knight and one of the new maxifig villian Knights. The two guys in the foreground are presumably the 'leaders' as they have different breastplates. The other characters come in sets of two. Two villians with classic flared helms, two with barbutes (all wearing what appears to be black armour), two heroes in gold armour, and two heroes in darker armour (all have silverish visors). The main hero has a what appears to be a green breastplate with silver highlights and grey arms (the others have green arms). The main villian is wearing what appears to be a metallic flaked helmet and breastplate with a printed design. Its obvious that the heroes control the pass, and that the villians are attacking (at least in this pic). The seige weapons (which admittedly look lame) feature yellow highlights, much like the attacking army. The wall features green flags. More to the point, the wall is occupied by green Knights, and the seige weapons are controlled by the yellow fellas. The wall itself is pretty dull, as as are the weapons, but as a child I would have loved this set. Its the first Battle set LEGO has ever produced. Too bad its likely to be overpriced. As an AFOL, I simply can't justify dropping upwards of $70 (Cdn) on something like this, simply to acquire a few new minifigs. Perhaps a second chess set is headed our way. One can only hope. Later. KimT Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I for one think this is funny. A joke on a joke misinterpreted - does it get any wackier? *wacko* I might consider getting some of these new sets - they look more and more like "real" castle - perhaps they'll be any good in 2 or 3 years :-D KimT Quote

Looks typical of contemporary Knights Kingdom... A flimsy stucture here... A flimsy structure there... And a lot debris in between! Quote
Norro Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I can't see much from the pic but I would like a better view of the ladder thing on the right... God Bless, Nathan Quote
