ImLost Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) Hi everyone, this is a truck I made yesterday- its my first MOC since coming out of my Dark Ages a week ago. After getting the 7633 Construction Site, I was not happy with the green truck in the set. So I combined the pieces of the green truck with the 7639 Camper and this is the result. Thanks for looking. More images on my brickshelf. Edited January 11, 2010 by ImLost Quote
SeaKing61 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Very nice truck. I like the mix of green and white. It doesn't look like you've lost any building skills in your dark ages. It'd be good to see a pic of a car on the back of the truck. Could you get all the wheels the same colour though? I'm sure 7633 has enough grey wheels for that. Laurie Quote
Legostein Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Hello! Welcome back out of the Dark Ages, and also welcome to these fine forums. Your truck is pretty nice. Now all you need is something to load onto it. Like a big and heavy construction site vehicle. Then your truck would be the ideal choice. For a truck of that size, the wheels seem a bit small, but that's only a minor detail. But that way it's nicely flat. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
ImLost Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 Thanks guys. I have added a picture of the truck with actual cargo. Legostein, unfortunately, I don't have any larger wheels at the moment but I will take your suggestion into consideration when I buy more sets. All my childhood legos were given away unfortunately. SeaKing, I didn't even notice the color difference of the wheels until you mentioned it. Thanks! Quote
prateek Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Cool! I like how the Camper's dome piece looks on the front of the truck Quote
Milan Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I like this truck! It is nice how you have lined up the green/white at the front, considering that front is SNOT,and the rest isn't. I think wheels are not small, as the vehicle needs to be very low to the ground, it is safer that way when they carry heavy equipment. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Not bad at all 'ImLost' - also welcome back to the light ! Nice flat bed truck, I too like the colours ! Keep up the good work 'ImLost' ! Quote
dr_spock Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Not bad for a first MOC. Is there a sleeping space on the top of the cab like in the camper? P.S. Your brickshelf link is displaying "This folder is not yet public. " Quote
ACCURATEin Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Welcome back from the Dark Ages and job well done with the truck. I returned to the hobby about a year ago after taking an 11 year hiatus. Quote
Rick Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Nice one! I like the color scheme. My only comments would be that the cab is a little large (I don't like the height) and the bed is a little high. You might consider getting rid of those wheel arches to be able to lower it some. Quote
