Christian Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Thanks for the link. The designer sets looks extremely good. BTW: upon further inspection of the kk2 set(8813) it seems that it comes with 10 minifigs, and some of them are just generic soldiers! Quote
MattZitron Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Nice Haul!!! That Dragon creator set looks fantastic. And the new KK sets looks good too. Though 8822 is very similar to a set from the first wave. Well done Topdawg! Quote
tophdawg Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 mu favorite of these has to be the new KK2 Quote
Cutty Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Most excellent. Apart from that green dragon, most new creator sets look fine. especially that black car. KK2 is a must buy for me no matter what, and now with the clearer pics...*drool* Trainiacs will sob upon seeing the old tracks (metal) being replaced with full plastic ones. Remote control trains, as with Playmobil, are most en vogue it seems... Quote
Zane Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 I'm not so impressed, to be honest. KK2 looks coolish...but is not as good as last year. I probably just need to see them clearer... TT Quote
sam89 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 There's also some pics here, including a cool Racer garage: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=165789 I think Battle at the Pass looks nice, with ots of figures. The Desinger sets are quite cool as well. Quote
DarthBrick429 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 OMG! I LOVE the KK2 sets! I want to get the bridge set the most! The trains look very nice! I'm glad they made a crocodile train in the freight train set! We haven't seen something like that since 1991! The new bionicles look great, as well! Quote
DoubleT Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 i hope this hasent been poseted before, but i just found a whole buch of new pics http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=163956 Thanks, but when i choose a pic, the pic "Aint made Puplic yet"? Quote
sam89 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 It appears more pics are being added to the folder. Yippee! :-D I'll post some of them in this thread. Quote
sam89 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 What do we reckon the "Try Me" is for on the dragon? Light up, maybe? Quote
ApophisV Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Anybody noticed that many KK2 knights are wearing helmets that are somehow a bit unfamiliar?! new molds maybe? Quote
gusmoore17 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Great!!! the KK2.3 line looks excellent!! Yeah, but I disagree with the other fellows' comments, because I think that every year the line has renewed it style. From the moment I knew that there was gonna be a continuation for 2005's sets, I tried to understand how difficult it would be to throw out of the throne the Vladek's Dark Fortress as the best set from the entire line. But hopefully (as it seems in the very very little pick at the link) Battle at Pass is gonna be terrific and maybe we can discuss later on which set is better. Anyway, could someone tell the owner of this folder to make public the images from bionicle to KK? Talking about the other sets: Bionicle ones looks attractive in their new tubes!! Passenger train RC is ....well, I was expecting something much better as long as I think that the last worth-train was the 4561 from 2000. On the other hand, Cargo train RC looks great with that crane on it! Make public the kk pics!!! *sing* |-D Quote
MattZitron Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 A firing disc thing with the Hero tank! Supa Cool! And new Vikings!!! Nice Dragon! Booooooo catapaults! Though the Dino head on the big one looks cool. AND the long spear looks cool. In fact I'm gonna hold judgement. I just wasn't a fan of the Catapault from WAVE 1, though the dragon is amazing. Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Yay! Viking army builder! Too bad the Catapult looks pretty much the same as the one we already have. I also love the tuner garage. Great little cars in there. Also, the mythical creatures set looks awesome. And finally, I might just be buying some KK this year ;) Quote
kotua Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 One of the train sets has a mailbox :oD ! The other has a civilian Car :oD ! The Tiny Turbos are looking more and more like Lego's attempt to counter the Megablock's Nano stuff. I like the little Police Car, and the Tuner garage, which I'll probably turn into minifig Scale one. The yellow car on the roof looks like the Flame Glider of the first wave of Tiny Turbos(The orange HotRod-looking car.) The other car on the Tuner Garage reminds me of the Tuner X set that came out recently. Really cool. But what's with the Japanese-like writing and stuff on the Garage? Pretty cool overall, although Brickset says theres a Street Race set...wonder how that one will be...hopefully just as cool as the tuner Garage... :) Quote
rew12 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Though 8822 is very similar to a set from the first wave. Umm... Which one? And, about Tuner garage: Police Car + tuned cars + night street background= Illegal car racing as seen in Nedd for Speed Underground!!! :oD Quote
MattZitron Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Though 8822 is very similar to a set from the first wave. Umm... Which one? And, about Tuner garage: Police Car + tuned cars + night street background= Illegal car racing as seen in Nedd for Speed Underground!!! :oD *wacko* I went to go and back up my thoughts and realised it just reminds me of the front section of the Citadel of Orlan. http://guide.lugnet.com/set/8780 Which looking at it, it doesn't look THAT much like. It is a bit boring. I dunno. Ignore me, I'm ill and not thinking clearly!!! *wacko* Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Looks like a great line-up for the beginning of 2006. - Trains, Vikings, KK, and Batman. Very nice themes and some very nice sets. Quote
