Dfenz Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) There's a new Clone Brick in town. Check out these super-sized bricks from Santander http://www.visit4info.com/advert/Lewis-LEG...Santander/81493 It appears that the image on the top of each brick is the group's logo not LEGO. UPDATE MARCH 2010 Here's the new ad. http://www.visit4info.com/advert/LEGO-Subu...Santander/82825 Edited March 4, 2010 by Dfenz Quote
Peppermint_M Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Saw the rather large advert in the Sun this morning (we collect the holiday tokens, not page 3 stunnas) the bricks are also like Tyco, half a Lego brick tall. Quote

Dfenz Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 For those of you that liked the Lewis Hamilton Santander ad here are some more MOC ideas from the bank that likes giant red clone bricks http://www.visit4info.com/advert/LEGO-Subu...Santander/82825 Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I don't understand, is this a bank advertisement with Lego, or an advertisement for a new clone? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 The bank is advertising itself through use of a building together metaphore, with branded bricks. Recently Abbey bank in the UK has taken its parents name of Santandare, and what with us Brits clinging to tradition and suchlike, they need to ease over this rebranding. I have yet to see a box of these bricks IRL (and most of my family are with the bank) as a promotional item so as far as I can tell, the small bricks are a one off. The Santandare branding on the bricks is to avoid advertising Lego (even though everyone knows that bricks like that are Lego...). Quote
Perterz Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 This has been posted before?! I can't find the link to the thread tho.. Quote

The first post in this thread contained the first advertisement (which had spawned two separate threads after my original posting a few months back) and it starred Lewis Hamilton. My most recent post is a link to the brand new advertisement by the same bank which was shown on UK TV earlier this week (3 March). I've posted the link to the new ad into the first thread. Peppermint_M Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I wonder if they will have some as a promo item with their children's accounts, or perhaps for members... If so, I should like to have some (I am Queen for a reason) Quote
