Posted January 13, 201015 yr So I decided to attack my lego with a sharpie. Here are the results: Note these are just sharpied nothing else, Note 2 I really like blue hence the choice of figs below Stormtrooper Commander Come on, who doesn't need a commander for their 1,000+ stormies. 501st Trooper The elite corps of the clones. Captain Rex I didn't feel like paying 15+ dollars for captain rex. Here is a cheaper version. Thank you for looking. Comments and criticism definetly welcome. Just don't be afraid to hurt my feelings. Link to further gallery Edited January 13, 201015 yr by brickme
January 13, 201015 yr Good attempts, but it looks a bit smudgy. I'd recommend using some sort of barrier like tape to make crisper edges. Take your time, and see how much better it ends up. Hour(s) of work and a beautiful custom usually ends up better than a rushed figure. Just practice, and you'll get a hold of it. Remember, Einstein said genius is 1% inspiration, and 99% perspiration. Same idea goes for making customs. Good luck on future projects
January 13, 201015 yr Just don't be afraid to hurt my feelings. OK then, you &*^%$ %#^^ peice of $$%^@^^&*%###% Haha good job on these, I especially like the Commander Rex
January 13, 201015 yr Wow, those are pretty good. I'm no good at custom clones and stuff. I realy like your Rex! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
January 14, 201015 yr I really like the Stormie helmet, but I must agree with Commander Flash that the execution of these figs is lacking. Your ideas are good, and the patterns you are going for are close, but inking figs for great results requires taking a lot of time and being very careful so that things come out evenly. I don't think you needed so much blue on Rex's helmet, and I don't completely understand the odd stripe on the stormie's leg. Taking more time to do it, you'll definitely improve, so good start!
January 14, 201015 yr That's a good start. You just have to work on the edges and use pain t, instead of markers. ) You've got the idea: 50% of every custom fig. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
January 14, 201015 yr I like the stormtrooper commander, his color is brilliant, the other 2 seem s bit fuzzy, and I like the randomness of the markings, it reminds me of an army outfit.

What randomness?
January 15, 201015 yr They are a decent start into the world of customisation. Smudges are a little bit of a problem, though. The only reason I have ever used sharpie on my figs is because of how often I draw, I tend to have a super-steady hand.
