Jipay Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 As you noticed, there's a new forum. We hope you like it, it includes many new possibilities and will help us managing the community in a better way. We will progressively add new features to our new home. The staff would like to thank a lot the members who gave donations that made this upgrade possible. The Eurobricks Team Quote
Lost Viking Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 What happened to the mf smilies? We still have them right? Don't tell me you lost all the smilies! :( Anyways, besides that, the new Forum looks great! Though I am still trying to figure it out. Quote
ApophisV Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Don't worry, it takes some time to set up all those new things here, the lego smilies will return as soon as we finished setting up the new board! ;) UPDATE: I added the standard smilies that came with the new board to the list! Please be patient for more new things! Double Post? I just found out: Double Posts are now no longer possible! :-D Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 The group icons don't display for me. Is anyone else having this problem? EDIT: Some work now. Not all though. Quote
snefroe Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 as apo just said, they're still setting things up... be patient Quote

ApophisV Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 - No double Posts allowed - Better skin handling (okay, that is a feature that mostly makes ME happy ) - Modified and slightly better posting interface - ... ... more to be discovered Quote
KimT Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Whoa!! google.com is a member of our site *wacko* Just check the members online and google.com is there in blue printing KimT Quote
Zane Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Oh, cool. It makes it look a lot bigger, but sometimes things are a bit jumbled.... TT Quote
Cutty Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 speaking of jumbled...is anyone else having problems with the forum's layout? i noticed it especially in posts from JINZONINGEN which are just empty with the control-icons' bar slightly jaggered, tearing the layout apart. sometimes posts appear juggled randomly, leaving some posts empty with the text shifted to the bottom of the page where usually the "reply" and "new topic" buttons are... it seems there is a lot to iron out still, but i keep all fingers crossed for our fine 'dmins to do the job! Thumbs up, guys! Quote

Cutty Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Ask and ye shalt be served. Here ye go: Example of an "empty" post. Messy monstrous meltdown...worst case scenario! Hope this helps. Cutty Quote
Jipay Posted January 31, 2006 Author Posted January 31, 2006 That's a common problem for firerfox users, especially those who are using low resolutions. unfortunatly nothing can be done with this  Quote
Zane Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Really? Oh...looks like I won't be coming to EB again then.... Bye... Just kidding. It's annoying though.... TT Quote
Cutty Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Well damn...so it seems I'm stuck with either shitty IE or tweak around FF until I get it right by accident... Quote
Deinonychus Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Ohhh...pretty reply window options :D So far I'm liking it. And fortunatly since I'm using Netscape I can pick wether to view the forum as IE or FF so that little problem is no big deal. So far I'm liking the changes...we still need a shoutbox though Quote

ApophisV Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Google.com is a bot that searches our forum for relevant things for the google search engine. It was included in our new board version. Actually that is a good thing since google will listen us more often now! Quote
Deinonychus Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 No...you don't understand...the "Searchbots" are evil...EVIL I TELL YOU! (cocks shotgun) We have to eliminate them before other Searchbots start appearing and try to take over! But seriously...I just wanted to tell you guys how much I love you for adding a "Mark all forums as read and return to index" link to the top of the new topic search page...it's just what I wanted Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 One cool feature I see on one site I go to is just below the Members Online part, a button to click that says "last 10 posts". Though I bet such a thing may be a pain in the azz to implement. (Not an Invision board). Quote
