Hello there!

Just joined the forum after a year or two of lurking. Getting back into Lego (mostly City) in a big way having dug out all my old stuff from when I was a litttle'un and still have my first ever minifig seen here with my newest one. Dates from 1979 and admittedly looking a bit tired but he is still around.

Also still have from my youth the original 675 Snack Bar all be it a bit modified and expanded over the years as Charlie seen above and his extensive construction crews seem to get through a lot of cups of tea!!

Always been a fan of (in my opinion) the best Lego house set ever made, the classic 6372 Town House which I recently recreated using downloaded instructions and then 'updated' to what it may look like today were someone looking to give their property a make over:

Got a few classic town ideas which I am actively working on at the moment along with a couple of MOC's planned. Only regret is that I wish we had had the online internet ordering and the PAB service back when I was young in the early 1980's. Mind you online Lego shopiing is still not the same as the thrill of buying set in a store and resisting the temptation to assemble it on the way home!!!

Welcome to Eurobricks jmupton2000!

One more classic town fan, that's great! I'm a classic town fan myself (mostly from mid-'80s and on) and you 'll find many more in here. :classic:

The last two pictures you've posted are very nice! :cry_happy: Looking forward for your classic town MOCs!

Well said.

Have fun!

Welcome to EB. Glad you finally decided to join. I like the comparison shot of one of the first minifigs with one of the latest minifigs. Isn't it great that the minifig has been at the heart of so many great Lego themes for over 30 years now? I also really like the expanded version of 6372 you've built. It really has a classic town vibe to it. It deserves a topic on its own in the Town forum :classic:
