snefroe Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 You're about 700 post of so I'm not holding my breath. So Fellows can't go to lets say BSTF topic and lock one because it's spam? I think if someone would get the GD rank if they reached the post count. I was lookinag at Jipay's first post out of 88388607 post and I read that he is the co-founder. Who is the founder of EB? Shaggie has the title of co-founder. What I'm assuming is Jipay and Shaggie created EB. think the other co-founder is "Double T", or just "TT". anyway, is all this really that important? guess not... JCC1004 Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 (edited) think the other co-founder is "Double T", or just "TT". anyway, is all this really that important? guess not... I really didn't want to make a whole topic about it and I thought I could get an answere here. Edit: I was reading Jipay's interview with the news theam and here is a qoute. My path crossed DoubleT's and Shaggie's one as I was working on my little project. We all took a piece of the job and we were launched. So I guess it was those three. Hinckley Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Why is member darth paintballman314 a fellow? He has no posts and joined only a few months ago. He's not a real person. Now go spend your time doing something more productive. Quote
Siegfried Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 He's not a real person. Now go spend your time doing something more productive. No, no, no, no! Where's your sense of mystery? You don't answer questions like that! Quote
Piranha Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 (edited) Well no one even has the rank 'Grand Duke' at the moment (if you do a search on members' post count, all of the members with such high post counts are either admins or fellows), so it seems unnecessary to invent ranks that won't be used anyway. Whoa dude, lighten up There can't be a king rank anyhow I realized because a king is a single rank, only one person can occupy. Main purpose of my post was aimed at BrickMiners color choice of the ranks. The rest is just for fun. EDIT: written in a nice Tone (hehe) Edited September 10, 2009 by Macoco Quote
Hinckley Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 No, no, no, no! Where's your sense of mystery? You don't answer questions like that! Oh sorry. Um.... He's just a cool guy. Shut up. Quote
Stauder Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 (edited) Oh sorry. Um.... He's just a cool guy. Shut up. He's a freind of yours who tought your name was David. I'm a regular Sherlock Holmes, aint I? Also, I think the Pinned Rank Reference topic is out of date. There's a new rank that isnt listed. "Im New" Stauder. Edited September 10, 2009 by Stauder Quote

Haha, that's been out of date for a very long time. Siggy or Hink, would you like me to make an updated one? Quote
Siegfried Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Haha, that's been out of date for a very long time. Siggy or Hink, would you like me to make an updated one? It's OK. I'm making a new one now. Thanks just the same. Quote
Rick Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Thanks, be sure to keep it up to date in the future Maybe you can also use it to explain the difference between regulators and moderators, never really got that. Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Maybe you can also use it to explain the difference between regulators and moderators, never really got that. A Regulator is responsible for indexing and moving topics and such, whereas Moderators are responsible for ensuring that the site Guidelines are followed and new members know about the image standards and such. Siegfried Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Thanks, be sure to keep it up to date in the future Not likely; things change too fast these days! Maybe you can also use it to explain the difference between regulators and moderators, never really got that. I'll give it a go. Quote
Millacol88 Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Oh sorry. Um.... He's just a cool guy. Shut up. Now that I think about, there was a guy named Darth Paintball man who was banned. I'm sure they had some technical reason for making him a fellow, although he is still "banned." Quote
Big Cam Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 It's OK. I'm making a new one now. Thanks just the same. whoo hoo, thanks Siegfried. On the topic of becoming a moderator or getting moderator abilites at a certain post count. That just seems silly. Why would EB want someone moderating their board who they didn't appoint? The rqnks just seem to be a fun way to encourage participation, and they are spaced out enough to not encourage mass posting just to get a new rank. An updated list would be cool, I like reading the descriptions for each moerator position. Quote
hewkii9 Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 No, no, no, no! Where's your sense of mystery? You don't answer questions like that! It seems more mysterious now...not a person you say? A robot Fellow? I for one am unsettled. Quote
JimBee Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 It seems more mysterious now...not a person you say? A robot Fellow? I for one am unsettled. More like an alter-ego, I think. As if Hinckley's ego needed to be any bigger. ( ) Quote

It saves ruining a real account when you want to check changes. Quote
Ricecracker Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I thought having more than one account was a quick way to get banned ....... Quote
Svelte Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Duplicate accounts are frowned upon; in this case it's a test account. Of course, if you prefer, I'm sure some experiments could be devised to stretch the limits of your account, Ricecracker. Are you volunteering? Quote
ILikePi Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 (edited) If that account is actually not a real person, I would like to know why that account is named after a banned member of EB, since it doesn't seem nice to make fun of him ... EDIT: If you want that removed, feel free to change my post. Sorry if I caused any trouble... Edited September 11, 2009 by ILikePi Quote

EDIT: If you want that removed, feel free to change my post. Sorry if I caused any trouble... In what way is it making fun of anyone? It's just a name. There's a few "walrus" accounts on EB; are they making fun of me? Of course, if you prefer, I'm sure some experiments could be devised to stretch the limits of your account, Ricecracker. Are you volunteering? I think he is. Next time I want to test the "Banned" group I'll be using his account! Quote
Rick Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 In what way is it making fun of anyone? It's just a name. There's a few "walrus" accounts on EB; are they making fun of me? There's also a Walrus Keeper, I bet she makes fun of you every once in a while. Thanks for updating! I've enjoyed reading the descriptions: some very funny ones. One thing: the rank icon for 'I'm new' is incorrect: you used the 'Vassal' icon for that. Quote
Svelte Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 One thing: the rank icon for 'I'm new' is incorrect: you used the 'Vassal' icon for that. The group icon is still 'Vassal'; it's only the group description that is 'I'm new' Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Good job Siegfried the Sinner! Thanks for that. But isn't Zorro Admiral? I didn't think there was a Lord Admiral anymore? Quote
