...who? I thought I got rid of all of those queue jumpers?

haha, well I may be recalling from memory, so in fact you may have disposed of the unworthy ones. The 2 I was thinking of are super old past staff members (you know who) a certain range of individuals whom some are now grand dukes where with one post a rank increase will happen.

Thats just me remembering things I shouldn't. :classic:

I have a question regarding the Reviewers Academy. I understand the Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, gold being an instructor, the others are students. How do become an instructor or student? Just write reputable reviews? :classic:

Three RA-approved reviews gets you a Bronze tag, six is a Silver, and nine is a Gold. (and becomes a teacher)

You need to join the reviews academy.

Right here.

Then the instructors (gold tags) help you through 3 set reviews. Once you have 3 reviews that pass the Reviewers Academy standards you receive the bronze tag. bronze.gif

At this point if you wish to continue with the program you can complete 3 more reviews for your silver tag. silver.gif

Then if you are truly dedicated you can do 3 more reviews adn once those have been passed by the teachers you receive the gold tag gold.gif and become a teacher yourself.

Thanks 'Brickdoctor' and 'Big Cam'. I read the guidelines and left a request to join yesterday or the day before. I was curious as to how those rankings worked. I'm guessing if your reviews are indexed they are recognized as a pass by a teacher or moderator? :classic:

No it's not quite that simple, once you are accepted into the academy you'll read more.

You have to actually do the 9 reviews (new reviews, not existing ones) inside the Reviewers Academy (hidden forum) and the teachers grade you (give advice, require changes, etc.)

I do remember reading about the forum for members only. I posted a few small set reviews from the 90's city a while back as, practice if you will. There seems to be big gaps in those set reviews that I plan to fill. I personally don't see a point in double reviewing anyways as I have most of the sets unreviewed. I'm much into MOCing, so whether I'm in or out, I still enjoy writing typing reviews of my sets:laugh:

Congratulations LightningTiger! I am happy to see a close EB friend get promoted.

I hope you have fun with your new power!

Other than some extra attachment and PM space, I don't believe the Arch Duke rank has any powers Grand Duke doesn't.

Special powers ?.......What special powers ?

I don't think us Archdukes have the same or any special powers on EB as Moderators do, we are just higher ranked by post count and thats it.

Thanks to everyone who commented so kindly on yourstruely breaking the 8000 post mark. :sweet:

Brick On !
