Off-topic, why isn't this in the culture and MULTIMEDIA topic? Make more scense if it would be there since music is a part of multimedia right?

On-topic:

Most awesome 8-bit song ever (stereo version)

A great classic song. "In your eyes" by Peter Gabriel.

A great song indeed!

I'm mostly listening to Mike Oldfield stuff these days, as usual. Not listening to anything in particular, but since I'm sure people want to see/hear a video here's the beginning of the live performance of Tubular Bells II in 1992 at Edinburgh Castle:

.

Always blows me away. If you ever have an hour to kill, I encourage you to listen to that concert all the way through-- that person's YouTube channel has it in five parts, and it's an amazing performance.

I can't get this song out of my head- its The Stranglers- Golden Brown. Its actually a song about Heroin, although fairly subtle by Stranglers standards. Its in both 3/4 and 4/4 timing (certain bars), making it a very unusual song.

Considering its subject matter, I was always quite tickled every time I heard it played in ASDA (UK supermarket owned by WalMart). But then, ASDA's old catchphrase used to be 'One trip and you're laughing'!

I havn't been here for ages. I have always loved music but never really had a musical identity, you know? Over the past two years my main interst has shifted from Lego over to music, this has been due to my increased activity as a musician myself and a certain band that I have come across.

That band is Radiohead. If there are any other Radiohead fans on this board then I am sure they will understand but for those who are not aware of them I strongly reccomend you have a listen because I havn't looked back.

Anyway, that is what I have been doing these past two years, not that anyone was wondering. :)

Absolutely love Radiohead- saw them live in Glastonbury in 94 when they were still relatively new. I even like some of their more 'difficult' later albums- does usually take 2 or 3 listens to really get into those.

Favourite (of many) has to be Creep. Reminds me of my awkward teenage years.

I also like Radiohead. I've only listened to some of their music, mostly their older stuff, but I like what I've heard. It's a little obscure, especially their videos, but good music nonetheless. I personally like this one the most:

Creep... Reminds me of my awkward teenage years.

I can agree with you there.

I'm currently listening to some 90s alternative stuff. I really love the grunge era of rock, and even though bands are (and never will be) as good as they once were, it's good to see groups like Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden getting back together recently.

This one's just timeless:

Death in Vegas- Dirge. There is no way on Earth that your computer speakers will do justice to this, or any other Death in Vegas tracks. Nonetheless- here is one of their efforts, which will fart thanklessly out of the giveaway speakers that came bundled with your PC.
