Metallica: so what. Been on a Metallica kick lately. Let me just say, if you don't like swearing or heavy metal, don't listen to this.

Well, I can tolerate just so much swearing, but I like Metallica's rendition of Star Spangled Banner. Edited by XAxles

Currently listening to Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Chasing Yesterday (full standard album).

Also looking forward to the release of Muse's new album, entitled Drones. Easily my most anticipated album this year. I suspect I'll be listening out for new material from it

I'm all synthpop since last year.

Here, try some

and Dynatron for starters.

I'm all synthpop and heavy metal, and my faves these days are Metallica, Alice in Chains, Iron Mainde, Ozzy and Black Sabbath.

This at the moment. The game is Naval Action and its currently in closed beta, I was lucky to get my hands on one of them. In the video, im sure most of you do recognize the ship, is the HMS Victory.

Been on a bit of a pop-punk binge recently (Green Day and all that sort of stuff), so I've been listening to All Time Low - Future Hearts (full album, HMV exclusive bonus track edition), which came out today. And not pop-punk I know, but I've also been listening to The Prodigy's new album The Day is My Enemy :classic:

Like the phoenix burning bright in the sky
I'll show there's another side to me you can't deny
I may not know what the future holds, but hear me when I say
That my past does not define me, 'cause my past is not today! Edited by Aanchir

Five Miles Out by Mike Oldfield, followed by Tubular Bells, (parts one and two) from the original album, by the same author.

Both of those albums are amazing! Love Mike Oldfield's music so much! For a while it made up the majority of my iTunes library.

2 hours, 40 minutes of music, which includes Songs of Distant Earth, Music of the Spheres, Five Miles Out (song), and Tubular Bells. I borrowed these from my father vast CD collection and downloaded them onto Itunes. I've currently named the playlist the Odyssey of Sound, and am looking to put Tubular Bells III on there, but I don't like Tubular Bells II at all.

For some reason today I had an urgent need to listen to Canned Heat, Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, War, and CCR - material I haven't listened to in decades (I guess The Animals and Traffic are next). Yikes, the 60's are calling me back! :look: (fyi - I listen to my kids music all the time, but its just the same-old same-old to me, heard it better and done better the first time these styles came up)

Gotta love that rock music

Usually listen to whatever is played on the radio station but the NZ band Shihad would have to be one of the best, along with hard rock and 70's rock like Led Zeppelin is great all that kind of stuff. There are times when I want something a bit cruisier like when building on holidays in the caravan where Fat Freddie's Drop and Salmonella Dub are great. Gotta set the right atmosphere for building. Can't stand any of the popular music nowadays, it's painful IMO. Time to stop rambling on or I'll be here forever

I've let a bit of a backlog of new stuff (to me) build up, so I'm currently listening to all of this:

Mumford and Sons - Wilder Mind (album)

The Vaccines - English Graffiti (album)

Brandon Flowers - The Desired Effect (album)

Bloc Party - A Weekend in the City (album)

Fall Out Boy - From Under the Cork Tree (album)

The Offspring - Splinter (album)

The Chemical Brothers - Surrender (album)

Hard-Fi - Stars of CCTV (album)

Interpol - Antics (album)

After I'm finished with that lot, it will probably be time to buy and listen to my most anticipated album of the year - Drones by Muse. Only 12 days until it's general release now, and if everything is as good on that album as "Dead Inside", the one song I've heard from it, it will easily be my favourite album of 2015 too :classic:
