Holy Diver Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 (some seem to classify punk and alternative as Scremo...) I know some idiots who mistake any form of hard rock or metal for scremo. Quote
hewkii9 Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Pixies - Where is my Mind [i haven't quit the pop princesses, but I'm listening to things from the show Veronica Mars, at the moment] Quote
Creeping Death Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 The Unforgiven III-Metallica(My all-time favorite band; they have been this way since 2005!) Next is going to be My Apocalypse-Metallica...you know what? Scratch that. I am probably going to listen to the whole Death Magnetic album! Quote
Commander Flash Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 They were just at Utica, New York this year. Thats 20 minutes away. I like Unforgiven II better, but Metalica rules comepletely. Quote
Creeping Death Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Yes, I completely agree. I also think The Unforgiven II is the best(I like how it sounds western ). In fact, I actually missed one of their shows that came to the Allstate Arena here in Illinois, which is a 20 minute drive from here as well. I missed it, but watched a fan-made tape of the show on YouTube. So I still got to see it. Creeping Death-Metallica Quote
Commander Flash Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Its somewhat country-esque, but not completely country. Tickets were sold out the minute I heard of the show Quote
The Who Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 How about Enter Sandman? By Metallica, of course. (My Sig should tell you what kind of music I listen to. Classic/Heavy Metal-to-Classic Rock) Quote
Commander Flash Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 (edited) Thats a good one (I only named my tusken after it ). All Nightmare Long has a strange video, awesome, but strange Edited July 14, 2009 by Commander Flash Quote
Creeping Death Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Its somewhat country-esque, but not completely country. Tickets were sold out the minute I heard of the show Yeah, that is what makes the song great! Aww, that sucks. What I hate is that they aren't going to be coming to Illinois for anymore of their tour. How about Enter Sandman?By Metallica, of course. (My Sig should tell you what kind of music I listen to. Classic/Heavy Metal-to-Classic Rock) I love that song as well. I like all the first five albus the best, and Death Magnetic. The Call of Ktulu-Metallica Quote
Commander Flash Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 And its the only Metalica song I can play (minus the solo) I'm a begginer, and Unforgiven I/II are tough... Got to keep trying Quote
Creeping Death Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 And its the only Metalica song I can play (minus the solo)I'm a begginer, and Unforgiven I/II are tough... Got to keep trying I actually just started to learn the guitar, and I taught myself how to play the opennings of: The Thing that Should Not Be, and Nothing Else Matters. I am gonna get a teacher soon, though. What I hate is that Kirk Hammett(lead guitar) had Joe Satriani as his teacher for the guitar. He is so lucky. No wonder he is so good at guitar! I get my guitar tabs at Ultimate-Guitar.com I actually drew a (not-so-good) LEGO version of James Hetfield that I put into my Flickr Photostream: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2140/368388...9fea3d8.jpg?v=0 ^I know Im not as good as Hound Knight(let alone at all ), but here he is! posades Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 New DivideLinkin Park It fit the new Transformers movie well, I like it more than some of their newer stuff. I know I'll probably get made fun of for this but I enjoy listening to bands like Three Days Grace, Hoobastank and Chevelle (what would be referred to as alternative?). Been listening to Vena Sera (Chevelle) the most lately, I like almost all their songs on that CD which is saying something since I usually only like 3 or 4 songs from any one album. Quote
VBBN Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Posades: BAhaha, you actually listen to THAT? XD (For those who don't know, he sent me copies of all of those once before.) Yes, Chevelle is considered Alternative, but it's good alternative, unlike most. As for what I am listening to, It's Getting Away With Murder by Pap Roach; Link Quote

And that's a good song by Papa Roach, weren't they supposed to be coming out with a new album soon (or is it already out)? Quote
