marcosbessa Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Hi there! It's been a long time since my last visit here... I have been full of work at college, so it has been difficult to get time to build and participate in every foruns... But here I am again, with my latest creation for a contest in my lug. I have very few red parts, and much of them are very specific, so it was quite difficult to use the Fabuland car base... But I've been wanting to build something with that for so long! You can check all the details in my new flickr gallery! Quote
MetroiD Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Hey marcos, Rick has already brought this wonderful MOC to our attention... congrats for the blog and - what an awesome combination indeed! As usual, I'm once again starting to feel bad for not owning any Fabuland sets :) Quote
Zorbas Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Great work marcosbessa! I saw your creation in classic-town.net and I really liked it. The way you've used the fabuland car base is a complete success IMO. I also like the small details such as the wind shield, the chromed/silver grills and the reverse car doors placement. My favourite is of course the female minifig's legs! A totally natural result! "Driving Miss Daisy. Soon, to a theater near you." Quote
marcosbessa Posted January 17, 2010 Author Posted January 17, 2010 Yeah, a friend of mine from Comunidade0937 told me about the highlight at Classic-town! Thanks! Quote
JayDuck Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 If you had a limited parts selection, you used what you have very well. You packed that car with a lot of great details. Quote

Love how you have done every angle to look like a 1920's coupe.....it's in red....not Model T black ! 'Home, Parker'......'Yes, me lady'...... I'm a conformist! 'MarcosBessa' ! Oops,me now edit - I should've also said it would look awesome parked in front of the Grand Emporium eh ? Edited January 17, 2010 by lightningtiger Quote
dr_spock Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I first saw this on Classic-town and thought wow... Great work. Lots of nice little details. Neat idea for the lady's legs. Quote
BrunoSilva13 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Hi Marcos, congratulations, you build a nice old car style, I loved it, it's one of the best old cars that I've see, and the Fabuland part that you have used, great ideia. A runner to win in community contest, good luck. Quote
WhiteFang Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Great to see you again, marcosbessa! As what my fellow Classic Town bloggers have mentioned, this Fabuland base integrated with the modern concept of a vintage vehicle made it suitable to each other, by complement these bricks and curves in nice manner. I am looking forward to see more of your MOCs in the future. Quote
Legostein Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Hello! Including big pieces of different themes in a smooth way is not always easy. But You did an excellent job with the chasis. It merges perfectly with the curved design you have built. Very original idea and realised excellently! Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
