DarthBrick429 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Spongebob: Bikini Bottom: Krusty Krab: Spongebob and Plankton Adventures: Avatar: Air Fortress: Fire Nation Ship: Quote
kotua Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 The Fire Nation ship looks lame at the moment, but I do like the Air fortress a bit more. The Bikini Bottom is interesting, and cool to see a boat car... Quote
KMOI Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Those are some serious coolness! I mean are seriously cool. With the exception of the Giant Spongebob (Which is Megablok quality), the Spongebob looks solid. As for Avatar, did they EVER drop the ball on the Fire Nation guard. Repaints of the Knight Kingdom pieces? Come on! Why could they have done a pre-painted face and used a samurai helmet and armour instead? That would be the perfect match! However, to each their own. Overall, I think we're looking at a bright future here folks! I can just tell that Bikini bottom one is going to really rock. Quote
gylman Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Whoa! Nice find! The fact that there are piece counts indicates that these are probably finished designs, not very preliminary at all. The piece counts look good for hte Spongebob sets. Damn if Spongebob isn't looking better all the time. I am looking at multiple copies of that Krusty Krab set, and at least one Bikini Bottom. Avatar looks a bit.. meh... but I am not sure what I was expecting. I know the show quite well, and it does not really lend itself to great Lego unless they went for a really big temple or a marketplace or something like that. The fire ship will be a great part pack if it is not too expensive, but I never really expected it to be very good. It don't look good in the cartoon, why would the Lego model look any better? The temple... hard to tell... I smell some burps, but not a raised baseplate.... hard to tell. Not blown away. And of course the inevitable catapult. What the heck is it with Lego and catapults these days. NO MORE please!!! We've pretty much seen all of this year's product then. Thinking of the big picture, just think how different TLC product is this year compared to 5 years ago. I think TLC has really come a long way, and in the right direction. Go Lego! Quote
tophdawg Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 i like the bikini bottom and krusty crab, but i am still unsure about UCS spongebob, i will have to wait to see. the air fortress is cool and i will probably get it but the other is questionable Quote
thewrenagator Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 thumbs up to krusty krab's. as for avatar, i hate the show and didn't expect much from this line. Quote
john cleese Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Awsome find. Looks to me lego is returning to its routes, i mean look at all those beautiful plates, we havent seen a roof made out of plates since the wild west theme,or am i wrong. Anyway those sets look great and i'll be sure to buy all of them if i get a chance. I think this strategy of making few non-junioriized sets insteadof many junioriized sets is a great idea. keep on going lego, good job!!!!! Quote
optimus-convoy Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Wow! I really like Bikini Bottom, the Krusty Krab looks great, and the "UCS" Spongebob even looks nice. The Avatar sets on the other hand arn't really trilling me, but the Fire Nation Ship looks kinda neat. Quote
Evil Willy Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Ohh my gosh, thanks a lot for that. The sets look awsome, espicially Krusty crab and bikini bottom, which has squidwards house and patricks I believe:D And the big ship looks great..It is what I expected, a large steamer. Its made completely of bricks guys, thats awsome! Quote
Jipay Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 On a side note we'll soon get much clearer pics of the sets  Quote
Khorne Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 The ship looks great, but bulky. I love the lil' temple too. Avatar in general looks good, the guy-with-the-blue-arrow-on-his-head's torso looks good to make Shaolin monks . *EDIT* For the lazy people who don't want to cut and paste, here are the pics: Quote
MattZitron Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Damn Toywiz Logo!!! When are these out??? Quote
Jipay Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 From what we know, around the same time as the batman line Quote
Christian Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 From what we know, around the same time as the batman line And will they be released in europe too? BTW I like both the spongebob and the avatar sets really much:wub: Quote
SuvieD Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Those seem like Moc up sets and pictures. I am sure these are somewhat close to the final but I don't think this is what we will be getting. Avatar set with 700+ pieces? That would be like $70-90 set. I just can't see it costing that much. I will for the better pictures from EB. Quote
ApophisV Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 And will they be released in europe too? If TLC gives us (EURObricks) exclusive images of sets that won't be released here in Europe I will revive my dark ages. Quote
rew12 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Wow... I've never thought 3826 will be UCS Spongebob... Nice find. Quote
sam89 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 The Avatar sets don't look that great, but they're OK. The Boat is good that is includes so many pieces, but it's too short and blocky. The Fortress looks pretty good though, if the pieces are printed and not stickers. The piece count in this set is good as well. As for Spongebob, I'll need to see better pics of the UCS Spongebob before I can make a judgement, but it looks quite good, and the plankton figure is OK. I think the Bikini Bottom set looks a little plain, but does have a lot of pieces. The Krusty Krab looks great though. Quote
The Hordesman Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Is it just me, or do spongebob fit perfectly as an armor if stickered? The avatar sets seems promising in pieces and the red helms cool (since red was one of the few colors used on helmets at all in the medieval times), but shouldnt there be enuits and the likes in those sets? The girl (or whatever) being abducted in the ship set seems to be a peachy, isnt all his friends dark skinned, this Avatar fella? Quote
Zane Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Wow - I just saw on the KK set that there are actually Pretty Patties included! Wow! Oh...Spongebob geeks only, huh? Well, it shows they're really concentrating on playability - there are several items from several episodes....I wonder if there's the dumpster with the "rude words" printed on it....that was a funny episode... TT Quote
sam89 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Well I think I can see a green dumpster to the right of the Krusty Krab. Quote
Vader Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I like the look of avatar sets well at least from what i can see from these pics, i have to admit that i really dont know much about the whole avatar sets. Quote
Zane Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Hm, I can see a dustbin, but no dumpster....ah-ha! Theres a green one behind the KK. I see it now. Plus, behind Mr Krabs, is that the Chum Bucket, Plankton's restaurant? Probably not....what's that green thing above the graan dumpster...looks like Plankton...but it's too big to be him. TT Quote
DarthBrick429 Posted February 1, 2006 Author Posted February 1, 2006 Doesn't Squidward look wierd! Sorry I couldn't hyperlink it. I think I'm trying to understand how this all works. Here are the prices on the sets: Spongebob: Adventures at Bikini Bottom: $40. Krusty Krab: $20 Spongebob and Plankton's Adventure: $30 Avatar: Air Fortress: $30 Fire Nation Ship: $50 They seem like extremly reasonable prices! I also have the prices on Exo-Force and KK2 V3: Exo-Force: Mobile Defense Tank: $30 Striking Venom: $50 Sentai Headquarters: $100 KK2 V3: Rogue Knight Battleship: $20 Gargoyle Bridge: $30 Mistlands Tower: $50 Quote
sam89 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Agreed, the prices seem great! Plus, behind Mr Krabs, is that the Chum Bucket, Plankton's restaurant? Probably not....what's that green thing above the graan dumpster...looks like Plankton...but it's too big to be him. I'm pretty sure that's Plankton. It looks like it's got his face on it, and someone who went to Enfiled mentioned that he was a 1x1 brick. Quote
