January 18, 201015 yr Ooh, so it is! I didn't even notice. It's not that obvious in 'real life'.As you wish ... 'mafraid I don't have any other PT clones to hand to compare. Printing is not at all where it should be- seems that Barriss is only awesome thing in this set.... still if clone would be better this would be outstanding but printing is really poorly placed- too bad Barriss is not very well seen in movies- we see her in new clone wars though but it is not the same thing- who is that actress btw?
January 18, 201015 yr Hey don't complain. The Swedish price on this is set is actually $70 USD!! (according to xe.com) Sorry, I'm just used to US prices. And trust me, I feel bad for those outside of the US who have to pay more. Meh, I've lost interest in it. I'd rather get Luke's Landspeeder. Edited January 18, 201015 yr by Ratbat
January 19, 201015 yr Despite this apparently being a Clone Wars set, Cloney has a PT-style helmet and black head. Let’s have a closer look at Barriss, caped and uncaped: She has a black cape and hood, and it’s not easy to see but she has blue torso printing (front-only) with girly curves like Juno Eclipse. Barriss Offee - who is she?? The name seems vaguely familiar, but I might be thinking of Barry at the office. According to Wookieepedia, she was the padawan of Luminara, and was apparently featured in the Geonosis battle scene in Episode II. I don’t remember her. Her Order 66 death scene was cut from Ep III, it seems. Perhaps a CW fan can fill in more details. Here she is in the flesh, as it were: (image from Wikipedia) I prefer her in plastic. I think Lego did a good job! This is a Clone Wars set of course- but not "The Clone Wars- set" ok -so much about that- but then to the Barriss fig- it is strange that she appeared so early since not even the Ki-Adi-Mundi have yet appeared and he is seen and heard much more in the movies - however as kinda sw-freak -Barriss is familiar character to me- she is seen in ep2 and in ep3 comicversion but she is now appeared in cw season 2 along with Ahsoka as main character so that is probably reason why lego did her- even though she is not actual cw-fig confusing- figure seems to be really well made it may be the most beautiful legofig ever made- look at those eyes she so sweet... well she is not that bad in flesh either- Nalini Krishan is that actress who is in the picture- and that makeup suits her quite well- too bad that she cannot be seen more in movies... and so shame that she is canonically killed by those #%"&@! clones ummm... nice review by the way Sorry, I'm just used to US prices. And trust me, I feel bad for those outside of the US who have to pay more. Meh, I've lost interest in it. I'd rather get Luke's Landspeeder. Well legos are expensive but not all shops have same prices, i find stupid that this is the exclusive instead of Luke's speeder- not many collectors want Barriss that much and now many aren't going to buy this- bad decision from TLG i say
January 19, 201015 yr I've complained enough about the price, so I'll leave the rants out. The speeder is a much needed improvement over the original, which is We need more individual Jedi, so thank you TLC for making Barriss! The new print on the Clone is awesome too. I hope more Phase II troopers are released soon. Despite the price, I might just get the set anyway. This great review has made me lean over to buying it slightly more.
January 19, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the comments! This is a Clone Wars set of course- but not "The Clone Wars- set" ok What what?? >snip stuff & things< nice review by the way Thanks! This great review has made me lean over to buying it slightly more. That wasn't my intention, but thanks! @TLC - where's my cut? Wonderful wonderful review!Your pictures are great qualoty, you should think about joining the reviewers academy! Flattery will get you everywhere. (scuttles off to join academy)....
January 20, 201015 yr I am not exactly too excited about the vehicle, but I think the minifig is great, it is a collector set, whether the price is justifiable would depend on whether Barriss Offee would remain exclusive to this set only. I usually focus on vehicle more than minifigs, but this is an exception, somehow I feel that the lady jedi is really fascinating:
January 20, 201015 yr Picture this Headgear with this Head and this Torso or this Torso with tan hands/arms and appropriate legs/skirt ofcourse. It would rock!
January 20, 201015 yr Good review. I will probably just buy the fig from ebay though, as the set is really expensive. :/
