marcosbessa Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I know it's a Ford Explorer, but I started to call it a Jeep, cause in Portugal that's what we call to these kind of cars, and now I can't name it any other way! This is a prototype of what I want to use in a future community project. I'm not authorized to tell much about it... :) More photos, at Flickr. Quote
sok117 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Those are some really nice decals, I also really like the overall sleekness of the jeep. I loved the Jurassic Park movies and this jeep really lives up to the movies. Quote
BlueBard Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 (edited) Wonderful model, one of the best JP Lego adaptations I've ever seen, really BRAVO! And after this Lego Iberia (Portugal & Spain) will say there's no real interest in Lego here... Edited January 17, 2010 by BlueBard Quote
Mr Spielbrick Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Wow! While I don't use decals myself, I do appreciate them very much when others use them well. And you just raised the bar, sir! Great creation, looks very faithful to the actual thing. Keep us posted on that community event, please. It'll still be worth checking out if the rest is half as good as this car. Quote
Brad-The-Brick Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 If jurrasic park sets were as good as that one, I probably would have bought one. Quote
Ras 74 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 That is a really good and accurate "Jeep" from the film you created marcosbessa! I like the custom stickers details as the headlights and the bar in the front. I really hope you will post pics or/and links when this "future project" is happening. I would definatley buy one car if that was official!! Quote
Optimus Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Incredibly accurate to the movie. Those decals are excellent. Great work! Quote
Dadster Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Very good looking! Loving the color scheme - so close to the movie, IMO. Quote
Legostein Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Hello! A really excellent jeep you're presenting to us here. It's so good that I'm now keen on watching the movie again. I hope you havetwo glasses of water placed in the interior for one of the best scenes of the movie. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
the fixer Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Wow man, that's amazing! Thumbs up! :D Quote
ILikePi Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Those decals are incredible! They look like they're high-quality printed parts. I also like the color scheme and look of the vehicle, especially the front bumper with lights! I've faved it on Flickr, too! Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Ah! As a big fan of making and viewing MOCs from the Jurassic Park trilogy, I must say this is as good as it gets for that Explorer. The decals are great, the design is great, everything is great. I'd also like to thank you for building this MOC, now it's got me finally motivated to make another JP vehicle. Quote
user Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 This is really a great creation really it's stunning! The decals are great and just the overall design is clever if only it were an actual set. Quote
iamded Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Wow, at first I though the decal was instead printed on. It's very well done! I love the front grill on the Jeep, and of course the Jeep as a whole is very cool. The colours look great too. ~Peace Quote
Izzy Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I love the front grill on the Jeep, I love to see pieces used in different clever ways like on the front of this jeep. Really well done! I think you have done a brilliant job, with so many great details. I had never noticed before how well trans-red and dark red go so well together. And those decals.... immaculate! Quote
Svelte Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I had never noticed before how well trans-red and dark red go so well together. And those decals.... immaculate! Same! This is a sweet creation! Quote

I'd bet that marcosbessa could make one better than mine, looking at the quality of his Ford Explorer. I would absolutely love to see your take on the Fleetwood RV, marcosbessa. Have you had any thoughts about making it or the Mercedes-Benz? Edited January 19, 2010 by Striker Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Thats just plain awesome! If that was a set i'd sooo buy it! Great work Quote
