JayDuck Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Nice! That's a very good replica of the original in minifig scale. Good luck with your continued improvements. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 AWESOME MOC 'Kalahere' ! Much better than Lego's XXL crane of a few years back - man what a monster - but so ...so cool ! Totally I'm a conformist! 'Kalahere' ! Quote
Siegfried Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 This is great! A crane 90% like this is a planned project of mine. I love the 7249 crane, but I eventually broke mine as it was just too big. I was considering making mine 10 wide, but this works well at 8. The only area I don't like is the crane cab, but room is tight! Quote
dr_spock Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Your crane is really nice. It looks very close to the real thing. Do you have all wheels steering? Quote
Kalahare Posted January 24, 2010 Author Posted January 24, 2010 Boys, I am back again, thank you for the comments. To dr_spock: this model is without steering due the lack of material. I have some ideas, but is somewhere in fog now To Sigfried: I agree, 7249 crane is too big for my City, my goal was 8-wide, but 10-wide can be better for the modeling of operator cabine. Good luck to You, I hope we will see Your nice model in short time Now I am little bit busy, but I am thinking about some improvements. See You later. Quote
ImLost Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) Kalahare, this crane is beautiful. The mobile crane in 7633 is my favorite vehicle that TLG has made and your truck is even better. The things I don't like in the original 7633 crane- no retractable outriggers, crane operator's cabin too small, string unwinder too fragile- you've mananged to fix all those problems in your own design. Great work. Edited January 26, 2010 by ImLost Quote
Corvid_Fan Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 So, any chance for instructions being made? Quote
Johnny1360 Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Hilarious, how do you even dig up such an old thread? Quote
