Hello everyone,

Frousmoul finally succeeded ! The instructions is now complete !

<snip>

It is a 600 MO HD instruction !

414 pages of fun to reproduce the famous UCS Venator !

<snip>

The model is made out of 5421 parts. :)

As usual, the price of the instruction is 5€. However, we all know that the instruction is worth more than 5€. Thus, you can give more if you think the instructions deserves more or if you want to support that kind of work offered to the Lego Community.

To do a payment, you can PM me here, or e-mail me at setechnic[at]gmail[dot]com

Payment by paypal or bank transfer.

Thank you.

Just did a slight modification to the Venator once my Dark Red bricks came.

Read about Obi-Wan Kenobi using Vigilance as his flagship during the final days of the Clone Wars and as a flagship, the twin bridges were painted red. So that was what I went for in this modification.

I have not seen this mod done on Anio's Venator builds by others... but I may be wrong though. :)

I also bought Obi-Wan Kenobi and a Clone Pilot to complete the "set".

Hope you guys like it!

I'm actually not crazy out that mod. I like your idea and I have seen red bridges on the venator before but I just think it hides the bridge windows too much with all that dark. I love anio's the way it is and I am not sure it could be improved on very much.

I did some more research and saw this piece:

http://www.bricklink...Item.asp?P=2609

Would it be possible to pin one to a 2 X 4 technic plate to create a Magnet Holder Plate?

http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=3709b

If so which pin would be best?

Thanks,

Pat

I found this would be the best way to go. The Magnet Holder Plate 2 x 2 Bottom is crazy over priced so I got this.

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2609 x 18

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3709b x 36

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4274 x 54

I will place two 3709b with the backs facing each other and then use three pins(4274) to hold them to gather. Then add 2609 to the top of one side

This dropped the price from $300+ CAN to $4.88 with shipping.

I will let you guys know how this works out for me.

Can you make a sketch of your solution, I don't see how you can compensate the angel between the top and bottom pieces.

I haven't seen the instructions, but won't two extra plates worth of thickness throw off the fit off the hull?

If you look at the instructions you will see that you can take away 2 plates or add 1. It should all = out in the end.

My Venator had red bridges as the flagship ;) It's been on my shelf for the best part of two years at this point.

Then the question now becomes will one pin be strong enough! Hopefully.

I wanted to check, where I stand costwise with this model, before ordering the instructions...

So I downloaded the file, got a .zip-file with 15 separate .txt files in it... do I need to enter all 15 files into the Bricklink wanted list?

First, you just need txt ST04 for the Venator.

As for your other questions : http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=37663&st=250#entry1966929

This is my favorite version of Venator in UCS scale. I really admire original design by Thire5 (whos actually my fellow countryman which makes me proud :D) but you get a huge credit for allowing others to build it. I wish I can afford to build something this big one day. So far I have to focus on much lower scale while still struggling getting all the bricks :)
