JCC1004 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Acctualy I know a person (or should I call him lucky bastard:) ) who got 2 minifigs of chrome vader extra figs in a single box. It was in some bigger box as i recall, in y-wing or aat not sure anymore. Some one on Bricklink is selling (or was) a Chrome 3PO with an extra in the bag. Quote
Darth Hawken Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 This has happened to me twice. Once when I got Valadek's Castle I got extra armour and helmets for everyone. Next was when I got the seperatist tank from the clone wars line for $25 off reducing it to $35 in the box to my surprise was a chrome Darth Vader in a seperate bag. Quote
Brickus Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 I didn't get it in a set, but I received a misprinted droid commander head in the Tri-Fighter, and I asked LEGO for a replacement. I just received the replacement today, and to my surprise they added a CW Yoda Keyring. Quote
TheBrickDaddy Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Some one on Bricklink is selling (or was) a Chrome 3PO with an extra in the bag. I saw that too, that's pretty incredible! Next was when I got the seperatist tank from the clone wars line for $25 off reducing it to $35 in the box to my surprise was a chrome Darth Vader in a seperate bag. I had a problem with Vladek's castle too; I got a lot of extra pieces (thirty or forty actually, it was ridiculous) but no rubber bands, which were really important I didn't get it in a set, but I received a misprinted droid commander head in the Tri-Fighter, and I asked LEGO for a replacement. I just received the replacement today, and to my surprise they added a CW Yoda Keyring. Lucky. Back on topic, I've heard a bunch of people say they've gotten multiple rock monsters in Power Miners sets, especially the blue ones. Quote
The Legonater Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 <br />Actually, I think they were just being ironic... <img src="style_emoticons/lego/default_blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="default_blink.gif" /><br /><br /><br /><br />Well I was... I'm not sure about him... Quote

Darth Lion Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Well, I just found an Anakin Skywalker (The Clone Wars) head in my Home One. I guess, the machines threw this head in the box, because Mon Mothma has got the same hairpiece as Anakin ... Quote
Mercenary Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 This has happened to me. I got one WHOLE BAG OF PIECES AND A SHEET OF STICKERS IN THE MARS MISSION ALIEN STRIKE FIGHTER. And of all the places to get a Lego, The Lego store in Down Town Disney! Not at TRU! Odd, Guess Lego puts more quality in some boxes! Lol! Quote
drdavewatford Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Related to this topic is the fleshie smiley minifig head that came with my UCS Millenium Falcon. It doesn't belong with any of the minifigs in the set, and I believe that it is a standard part of the set as others have also received the same extra part in their sets. Anyone have any idea why LEGO include it ? Dr. D. Quote

See now this is entirely possible, since an extra head from the same theme could easily slip past a sensor. CMP Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 (edited) Man, you guys are getting ALL the luck. I've never had set with extra or missing pieces. Well...I guess I can't really complain without missing any pieces. I don't believe the Ice Planet Res-Q thing at all. It's possible, however unlikely, that they may find a weakness, and explot it. Ahsoka may have been in Seperatist Shuttle. I mean, same theme. But I must ask the same, every piece for her? Edited April 6, 2010 by CallMePie Quote
drdavewatford Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Have you read the thread? It's likely a mistake, there is no reason. This is not just a random error - as I said in my original message, others buying this set have found the same extra minifig head, e.g. dunamis, who posted his review of the set to Eurobricks, found one also (photo of the rogue fleshie head on page 2 of the UCS MF review thread) dunamis UCS MF review When I read his review last year I assumed it was a random error. Then I got my set and found an extra fleshie head in mine as well. Bizarre ! Dr. D. Quote
sok117 Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I don't know if this counts, but when I got my recent Arc-170 starfighter, It came with two sticker-sheets, I would have rather gotten an extra clone pilot though Quote

So it happened twice, maybe 3 or 4 times, but its still a random packaging error, that's all I'm saying. Quote
Rufus Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 (edited) It is definetaly an error. I'm sure you're right BC; but it might be an error for a whole batch. I got an extra AT-ST driver head in my 7657; I seem to remember reading about others getting the same (alas, I can't remember where), but the two EB reviews of that set (including yours) don't mention it, so obviously it's not every set. Dr D: Is your UCS MF one of the original certified sets, as Dunamis' was (IIRC)? Edit - corrected set number. Edited April 8, 2010 by Rufus Quote
marshal_banana Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 When I read his review last year I assumed it was a random error. Then I got my set and found an extra fleshie head in mine as well. Bizarre ! In my set it was exactly the same. In the new (not certified) MF-set last year. I never had missing parts in any sets. Just in the new Imperial Flagship, the second dress (Captains Daughter) was missing. I just got a red one. :-( Quote

Edit - corrected set number. Oh very true, it could very well be a batch of 5,000 that way, but my point was it wasn't suppose to happen, which is what I understood him as saying, since he was refering to others getting the same. I may have misunderstood, but either way, it's no biggy. Quote
Mofo Jones Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 To answer the original question: I've never been lucky enough to find an extra minifig in a set, but oh I wish.... :) Quote
