Luke McAwesome Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 BBQ! I mean... are these apparitions normal in this temple? It could be a lingering spirit who never made it to the beyond... Either that or it's just a demon who wants to kill us all. I think I just wet myself again. Oh, Willoughby! It's okay, it's okay... Don't cry! But I'm not scar- *sees the shadow* ARGH! DADDY! Hold me! Evil demon! Take the hobo first! Spare the children!
Zapper Brick Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Don't knock over the pillar! WHAT?!? A sh-shadow? HELP MEEEE!
JimBee Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Eh! No! A swastika! Burn it down! Is this some kind of sick joke, Willoughby? I'm not finding it funny. I'd like to arrange the blocks in the L-shapes described by the diagram on the floor, placing the grey where the north-most L would be, and going clockwise and placing those blocks in L shapes as I go down the list. If that doesn't work, I'd like to place a block in each of the alcoves, like the dashes are on the diagram. Starting with a grey block in each alcove on the north wall, then brown on the right, dark grey on the bottom, and tan on the left. [quote name='dannylonglegs' date='Jan 21 2010, 06:57 AM' post='666828'] I'd like to see if the Key we found earlier would fit in it. (I know I don't have the key, I'd just like to see if it would)[/i] Fine. I'd like to stick my key in the hole of the pillar under construction.
Svelte Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I can't believe you are all so calm with that spooky presence in the room! Obviously on the tour bus ride in you all took your complimentary Xanax pills as provided by management. Clearly the shadow is trying to tell us something about the west library, or entrance to it. Perhaps to reveal the clue that we need to progress? Wasn't this the entrance where the statue arm was originally in a different position? Maybe we need to do something else here? We have matches now, can't we light the torches the statues are holding?
Siegfried Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 *Sticking out of the plinth is an old metal eyehook.*-snip- *Siegourney and Samantha put the torches in the hands of the statues. Each torch has a hook that fits into an eyehook in the hand of each statue. The torches seem to belong in the hands of the statues...* Eyehook eh? I'd like to put the third torch on the plinth eyehook. Also... It's probably too late, but I'd like to look at the rear entrance for foot prints.
WhiteFang Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Ahhh! You were telling the truth! There is a spirit monster! *runs behind William* Oh wait, it's just standing there. Well in that case, I think I'll investigate that hole again. I'd like to see if the Key we found earlier would fit in it. (I know I don't have the key, I'd just like to see if it would) This area simply gives me the creeps. Donna, calm down. We are all here, don't let that foul stuff disturbs you. I noticed that the statue near towards the West Library has a slant torch. I am going to try something here, but I need to know in advance, did anyone of us touch that torch beforehand? I don't want to activate some traps. Otherwise, I will like to attempt to adjust the torch of that statue in an upright position.

If you look at the original pic, the hand was in a different position. At the very start of the day I moved it, and something happened behind the walls, but we saw no visible result.

Sylvia, thanks for letting me know, otherwise it could be a grave mistake to activiate something which have been done before. There are a lot of movements inside here, whenever we activitates some mechanisms, there are always something moving behind the scenes...
Siegfried Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I can't believe you are all so calm with that spooky presence in the room! Obviously on the tour bus ride in you all took your complimentary Xanax pills as provided by management. Actually I'm quite the opposite. I could swear that I saw my father just as we entered, but there's no sign of him now. Now there's some odd thing in here... I don't know what to think so I'm just doing what I always do; keeping myself busy.
Zepher Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Bring on whatever the creepy ruins want to. I'll be able to take it. Penny, get behind me. I'll admit that the ruins are a little freaky, but y'all shouldn';t go and get your panties in a knot over people you may or may not have seen and a little wierd and shadowy feeling. If you keep your heads around you, and pay attention, we can all do our most important task, which is enjoying our tour, and if it's as bad as you think, staying alive.
Siegfried Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 If you keep your heads around you, and pay attention, we can all do our most important task, which is enjoying our tour, and if it's as bad as you think, staying alive. Yes, I must admit, it can be at times hard to focus on the fact that most of us are here for a tour. The thing is I just keep having this nagging feeling that something bad is going to happen.
WesternOutlaw Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 it can be at times hard to focus on the fact that most of us are here for a tour. This crap always seems to happen during MOTEE Tours - I'm starting to think it's just me. Do any of you remember Gilligan's Island? - yep, another MOTEE Tour. (tosses last remaining comment cards he hid in his dry pocket)
iamded Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Oh my, that shadowy shape is quite unnerving. I think I'll just go and stand over with Tony. Where are you dear? And where's that sword gone? And why has no one taken a poke at the shadow with it yet? What, doesn't anyone think that's a good idea? And I believe there was another tile marked with an X that has gone un-examined. The last 2 yielded clues, I wonder what's under the last one. Penny was going to exminine it, weren't you Penny? If you need to be more specific when exclaiming what you're doing, I believe it's the tan tile furthest at the south end of the room. The one at the bottom on this picture: A matchbook was found in the one to the right of the altar, and the piece of paper was found in the one directly south of the altar. Erm, I would like to double check my facts with Hinckley the omnipotent voice, just to make sure...
Hinckley Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 I shall volunteer to stand on the "2" closest to the center statue (left if you will) and my esteemed Nerd shall therefore have to stand on the southern (right) "2"I also wish to take a photo of the presence in the room please. *Samantha and Quentin step on the stones that are marked "2" on the map. There is, again, a satisfying click, but nothing happens. Perhaps you need to think about it more.* *Samantha takes a picture of the apparition:* "It can't be! That looks just like my father!" Can I check under the only other X marked tile, unless of course they ahve all been checked already *Penny checks under the remaining stone marked "x" and finds a piece of paper...* Well in that case, I think I'll investigate that hole again. I'd like to see if the Key we found earlier would fit in it. (I know I don't have the key, I'd just like to see if it would) *Donna investigates the hole under the column being repaired. She sticks the small key in but nothing happens.* *Glances at gateway at bottom of altar quickly to make sure it's still closed*I knew I should have been a Security Guard at Disney World instead *The gateway below the altar is still closed.* *It's a Small Word gets stuck in Fred's head.* I'd like to arrange the blocks in the L-shapes described by the diagram on the floor, placing the grey where the north-most L would be, and going clockwise and placing those blocks in L shapes as I go down the list. If that doesn't work, I'd like to place a block in each of the alcoves, like the dashes are on the diagram. Starting with a grey block in each alcove on the north wall, then brown on the right, dark grey on the bottom, and tan on the left. *Please be more specific. Where would you like them to be arranged and in what orientation to eachother?* I'd like to put the third torch on the plinth eyehook. It's probably too late, but I'd like to look at the rear entrance for foot prints. *There is already a torch in the hand of each of the three statues. Would you like to remove one?* *Siegourney checks the rear entrance for footprints but doesn't find any.* Erm, I would like to double check my facts with Hinckley the omnipotent voice, just to make sure... *Ingrid is correct.*
iamded Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Perhaps if the other two stepped off the tiles marked 2. Then I would like to stand on the tile marked on the paper with a 1. Then, perhaps, the other two could step back on the tiles marked 2. Numerical order sort of thing, you know? You know what, I think I'll go over and step on the tile marked on the map with a 1 now, to see if it at least makes a satisfying click or not.
Shadows Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 ... I hate those guys. *shakes it off* Ok, so... Grey Brown Dark Gray Tan Well, we know that the note writer suffers from the same spelling inconsistency that I do when it comes to grey. Beyond that, I haven't noticed any actual grey tiles, just dark gray grey, otherwise I would imagine this to be some sort of order in which to do things, perhaps in association with N-E-S-W, which would make it: N - Grey E - Brown S - Dark Gray W - Tan But what does it mean? GHOST! Looks like I just joined the pee pots. Anyone else think we should just turn around and get the hell out of here? You know, this could be that point in the movie where if everyone just went home, no one would end up impaled by a spear or crushed by a boulder, but instead everyone chuckles a bit at the odd things, shrugs it off as nerves, and then opens the damn door only to get an axe in their skull... Assuming no one actually wants to leave, let's at least insist that our kindly MotEE tour guide opens all the doors from now on. It's only fair, he's getting paid...

Peppermint_M Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Well, it looks like I have found something too. Another Piece of paper... Can I look at the paper I have found and see what is written on it
WesternOutlaw Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Hey - Check it out! It's a Civil War Confederate soldier ghost? (has the following vision)
JimBee Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 N - GreyE - Brown S - Dark Gray W - Tan But what does it mean? That's what I just did. I'm trying to put the stones in that order in their correct alcoves. Or in the shape of a... swastika. Maybe the indented tiles have something to do with the swastika shape. I think it must be talking about the pile of headlight bricks:Perhaps we have to stack them in that order? Urr... I've been doing that for the past fifteen minutes. To that creepy yet hilarious voice: I'd like to put all of the blocks in L-shapes on the ground like this: Or one in each alcove along the wall like this: I also think it's a good idea to light the torches while the statues are holding them. For whatever reason. I'd like to do that.
Siegfried Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Oh my! Daddy! Maybe he's still alive! *There is already a torch in the hand of each of the three statues. Would you like to remove one?* Oh sorry, , I was thinking that there was only two statues. Looking again, I can see it... I also think it's a good idea to light the torches while the statues are holding them. For whatever reason. I'd like to do that. Yes, that's a great idea. *I want to light the torches* Hey - Check it out! It's a Civil War Confederate soldier ghost? You're making jokes about my father!
fallentomato Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I also think it's a good idea to light the torches while the statues are holding them. For whatever reason. I'd like to do that. *I want to light the torches* Well you can't because I already did *Fred lights the torches but doesn't hear a Zelda noise.* I'm tired of just looking at the apparition. I'm going to go try and touch it. If it's tangible, I'd like to move it to the position where the fourth statue should be, put this new torch that seems to have appeared on the floor in his hand, light it and then move all the statues into the same position that he is standing in (slightly bent forward with one arm reaching forward holding a lit torch). If it's not tangible I would like to run away screaming. *It's a Small Word gets stuck in Fred's head.* Ahhh! This place is cursed!
Siegfried Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Well you can't because I already did ^ I'm tired of just looking at the apparition. I'm going to go try and touch it. I'm with you at least this far...
Luke McAwesome Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Oh yay! I like ghosts! I watch these shows on the Travel Channel all the time. I've always wanted to do an invesitigation! Thanks so much for taking me here, father! I'm having a great time! So, who wants to see if we can communicate? Siegourney...? That would be a great time, but we don't have time. Maybe later we could try if we come back here after the eclipse. Mr. Willoughby, are we going to come back to this room later? We only have time right now to figure out what all these maps and tiles mean...
WesternOutlaw Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Looks like we've got us an actual sighting boys. I've been waiting for this my entire MOTEE Tour career . They're Here! (I've always wanted to be able to say that). (Somewhere, someplace, a television screen gets fuzzy) I would like to reach out to the "Civil War Confederate Soldier-like" ghost/spirit and say, "Why have you come to the material world? Who or what has summoned you to this place? Can you communicate with us? Knock three times if you can hear us. Have you been to Grave Stone? If not, simply move this pencil across the floor. (throws down MOTEE Survey pencil to the ground watching intently) I also have this fork which you may bend if you can hear us... (ping) Or this small Websters' Book of Witty Quotes of which you can blow the pages. (throws book to the floor) But whatever you do, please don't manifest your spirit into one of these many demon statues - especially the big one in the center. Whispers to Spirit: If you must take one of us, please let it be one of the women (esp. the Bull Dykes).
