JimBee Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 *The hilt will not fit...* I'd like to try the tip, then. And the gem, too, Stanton. *Jack goes to lift the other stone tile marked with a "?" only to discover it has already been removed, uncovering a small 2 x 2 chamber...* I'd like to peer inside... or feel inside... "Then let's try the blade!" he says, bringing relief to the mysterious voice that guides us. Hey, punk! Help out with the tiles!
Hinckley Posted January 24, 2010 Author Posted January 24, 2010 "Then let's try the blade!" he says, bringing relief to the mysterious voice that guides us. *Sheldon sticks the blade of the sword in the hole in the bottom of the broken column. A crumpled up piece of paper falls out of the missing chunk of stone and rolls past the edge of the scaffolding into the room.* I'd like to peer inside... or feel inside... *Jack looks inside the 2x2 chamber and discovers a very old lever mechanism.*
JimBee Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I'd like to pull the lever and read the paper, please.
Shadows Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Hey, punk! Help out with the tiles! I can't follow all that tile stuff, but I'll lend myself to the #'d square testing project, just direct me to where you'd like me to stand. *Sheldon sticks the blade of the sword in the hole in the bottom of the broken column. A crumpled up piece of paper falls out of the missing chunk of stone and rolls past the edge of the scaffolding into the room.* If this is another anagram... I'd like to pick up the paper, uncrumple it into a perfectly flat sheet and then clear my throat as everyone looks on. Finally, after much delay, I'll read it aloud as Kermit the Frog.
The Crazy One Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Well, I got my rock from a crate from Devil Island on my dock, the same one the shade came from...
Hinckley Posted January 24, 2010 Author Posted January 24, 2010 I'd like to pull the lever... *Jack pulls the lever and it sticks about a quarter of the way after making a screeching, stone-crunching sound. Jack looks at the wall in front of the lever. The stone has cracked right down the center. It looks like pulling the lever the whole way will cause the wall to crash down on top of him. The lever could not be pulled all the way with just one person anyway. Jack can feel air rushing through the crack that pulling the lever caused.* There must be a hidden chamber on the other side. If this is another anagram... I'd like to pick up the paper, uncrumple it into a perfectly flat sheet and then clear my throat as everyone looks on. Finally, after much delay, I'll read it aloud as Kermit the Frog. *The paper says: "To solve the wall puzzle: 1. seaMen kite oxen. _ _ _ _ | _ _ _ _ _ _ _ | _ _ _ . 2. ghoSted some. _ _ _ _ _ _ | _ _ _ _ _ . 3. s.Un. t.o.es _ _ _ | _ _ _ _ ." Ah, megabluck-nuts!
Luke McAwesome Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Come on! Really? Sheesh, Satan must really like anagrams... I'll take a try for the second... ghoSted some 2. Smooth edges?
MagPiesRUs Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 3. s.Un. t.o.es _ _ _ | _ _ _ _ ."[/i] "Use s.n.o.t." ?
Ricecracker Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 "Use tons"? No son, I think he's right. I don't know why else there would be periods in the anagram. Now we just need to think about how to use S.N.O.T.
Luke McAwesome Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 No son, I think he's right. I don't know why else there would be periods in the anagram. Now we just need to think about how to use S.N.O.T. Oh, duh! That's right! We're LEGO people! So we have to use LEGO techniques! As a dumb, spoiled, teenager, I didn't understand. But thank you for pointing that out, father. So, does that mean we use the S.N.O.T. technique on the headlight bricks, or in this case, "stones" , and rearrange them in S.N.O.T. form?
JimBee Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 For the first one, I think it is: Make sixteen one Perhaps that has to do with the sixteen colored blocks?
Hinckley Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 ghoSted some2. Smooth edges? *Correct* "Use s.n.o.t." ? *Correct* Make sixteen one *Correct*
JimBee Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 The ffull anagram, as I think you two are right: Make sixteen one Smooth edges Use SNOT I'd like to make all of the tiles stick out towards me as I arrange them in the swastika pattern in the alcove.
Luke McAwesome Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 (edited) For the first one, I think it is:Make sixteen one Perhaps that has to do with the sixteen colored blocks? Sixteen bricks, to give them smooth edges, you have to use the S.N.O.T. technique! It makes perfect sense! I think we're gonna figure this whole thing out! The real question is, what do we do once it's a big block? Does it go somewhere? (Edited due to Hinckley's post.) Edited January 25, 2010 by Striker
fallentomato Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 *Arranges blocks like so (red is brown and black is dark grey. I didn't have enough in the actual colors, okay? )* *Shoves this big block in the alcove at the back*
iamded Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Hmm, okay, I volunteer for the stone stepping exercise again. Perhaps maybe this time we can get it in the right order. I believe we had another volunteer, now if we can get one more I can step on the tile labelled 1 on the paper, and the directly afterwards 2 others can simultaneously step on the tiles labelled 2 on the paper. But first we must sort out our actions before doing them, so as not to mess up the order, yes? So, once I find 2 more people who are ready to step on the tiles marked 2 (one each), I will step on the tile marked 1. (Then, hopefully, they'll follow suit and step on the #2 tiles. Yes? Good. Let's get this done. I discovered the answer to the anagram, but I'm not sure you all want to hear it...The bones of victims make excellent weapons. gulp Perhaps the bones refer to the petrified bones of the statue(s)?
JimBee Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 *Arranges blocks like so (red is brown and black is dark grey. I didn't have enough in the actual colors, okay? )**Shoves this big block in the alcove at the back* That's it! I'm sure of it. Finally my mind can rest. Good work, Fred. So, once I find 2 more people who are ready to step on the tiles marked 2 (one each), I will step on the tile marked 1. (Then, hopefully, they'll follow suit and step on the #2 tiles. Yes? Good. Let's get this done. We already did that. It didn't work. So if you're volunteering to help out with my idea, we need one more person. I'll repeat my idea, ma'am: I will step on the one block. Right after that, Sheldon and Stanton Sr. will step on one of the 2 blocks, and you and the final volunteer will step on the other 2 block.
Luke McAwesome Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I will step on the one block. My father's name is Richard, and I will be the final volunteer, if you don't mind.
Zepher Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 *Arranges blocks like so (red is brown and black is dark grey. I didn't have enough in the actual colors, okay? )* *Shoves this big block in the alcove at the back* I was thinking this design before as well, only becuase the middle four bricks caused a swastika in the empty space. That looks like it works.
iamded Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 We already did that. It didn't work. So if you're volunteering to help out with my idea, we need one more person. I'll repeat my idea, ma'am:I will step on the one block. Right after that, Sheldon and Stanton Sr. will step on one of the 2 blocks, and you and the final volunteer will step on the other 2 block. Oh, my mistake! I thought we messed up the order last time. My memory, it's not what it used to be. I still volunteer though. After Jack Baxter steps on the "1" tile, I would like to step on a "2" tile. If you need specifics, I guess I'll go with the one furthest from the altar, the one at the south end of the room.
I Scream Clone Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Status Update. 1. The hole in the bottom of the column that's under construction. We stuck the little key in there, but it didn't do anything. Do we have anything else that we might be able to insert into that hole? CHECK 2. The stone that Chris Owen brought with him - where did it come from anyway, Chris? - it fit into that "missing piece" square on the map, and we heard something happen, but what? Yes what happened? 3. The question mark stones: we've spent a lot of time on the stone by the altar, but has anyone checked the other one recently? Check 4. The stone puzzle on the back wall. Perhaps if more than one person could help Jack figure out how to get the bricks into that pattern and fit into the alcove. Maybe there are more clues hanging around to solve that one, that we haven't found yet. Perhaps Siegourney could ask the ghost of her father about it... Looking good 5. The statue puzzle. Well, we can't solve this until we find another statue, I suppose... 6. The tiles marked 1 and 2 on the map: We've tried two different solutions to this puzzle. Surely, there must be more.[/i] Working on it Oh, my mistake! Great work on the SNOT rocks guys! I will be the other person to stand on the "2" closest to the altar. However we probably need two people to then stand on the ? squares as well.
Hinckley Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 I'd like to make all of the tiles stick out towards me as I arrange them in the swastika pattern in the alcove. *That doesn't work* *Arranges blocks like so (red is brown and black is dark grey. I didn't have enough in the actual colors, okay? )* *Shoves this big block in the alcove at the back* *That does. As Fred shoves the block into the alcove, the stone alcove to the left opens and a fourth statue comes tumbling out onto the Grand Chamber floor.* My father's name is Richard, and I will be the final volunteer, if you don't mind. *On the other side of the room, five people have decided to step on the stone tiles marked "1" and "2." One person steps on the stone tile marked "1" and two people each step on the stone tiles marked "2." There are three satisfying clicks, a Zelda noise and another sound of a toppling stone...* 2. The stone that Chris Owen brought with him - where did it come from anyway, Chris? - it fit into that "missing piece" square on the map, and we heard something happen, but what? Yes what happened? *The westernmost "?" tile popped off and the lever was exposed.*
I Scream Clone Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 With the help of some strapping young women men, I would like to help lift the newly discovered statue into its rightful place on the right hand pedestal. All the time staring at Sylvia and humming Zelda noises.
iamded Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Oh hey look at that. I mean, yes, this was my plan all along. And it worked! Haha! But... what did we do? Looks around for a toppling and/or toppled stone. Hmm, must be from a different room then?
