Posted January 22, 201015 yr As evident from my username's join date I'm pretty new on these forums. I have recently myself come out of the dark ages, and brought some friends along with me out of it :) Anyway, I want to give a short presentation of some upcoming possible town/train layouts. Here are some photos taken from some stuff we just built very fast and put on tables. We don't have any real lamps installed in this room yet, so the pictures are a bit darker than the future pictures will be. The city layout seen in the first picture is already scrapped and we have moved in bigger tables to the room so we are able to get at least 2 x bigger layout. In the new layout we have hastily built we have both 12v & 9v trains running in the city. I will have those pictures uploaded here maybe on Sunday! New pictures: And more photos from the lego we have no layout for yet: Edited January 24, 201015 yr by Killerrabbit
January 22, 201015 yr Haha! The can of Karjala adds a nice AFOL touch to your tabletown! Looking forward to more pictures! Nice to see more Finns on EB. Wish I had as much space to play with my collection... My pre-dark ages classic town is in atoms in the attic, the new city has to fit on top of the bookshelf (and my random Star Wars stuff is making everyone confused at my workplace office).
January 22, 201015 yr Beautiful collection of great sets! Your town layout looks great and I can easily predict that it's going to be very impressive when done. Some memorable sets in there... Thanks for sharing and looking forward for more pictures of course!
January 22, 201015 yr Beautiful collection of great sets! Yeah, you have some really great classic sets in Town, Pirates, and Castle (Forestmen, Wolf Pack). Anyway, welcome back to the greatest hobby and welcome to Eurobricks!
January 22, 201015 yr I spy about 8 sets that we shared in common from our childhood! We are glad you have come out of your dark age. Welcome to Eurobricks!
January 22, 201015 yr Wow, nice! That´s a really big area you´ve got for your lego! Welcome to EB, I´m sure you´ll enjoy your time here.
January 22, 201015 yr Author Haha! The can of Karjala adds a nice AFOL touch to your tabletown! Karjala? Uhmm.. you must see wrong, that is the water tank to the fire station? :) There are even more castle sets as well hidden from view here - but you will see everything soon as we take more photos and make more layouts than the city layout! January 22, 201015 yr Welcome to EB! I am v-e-r-y jealous of your Pirate and Castle collections. Your tabletown is impressive, too.

January 22, 201015 yr Hey Killerrabbit and Cossierolle! Welcome to Eurobricks. It looks like we had a a lot of the same sets when we were kids. You've both got a nice collection there and the table-town is coming together nicely. I look forward to seeing how your town evolves in the coming months. Welcome to the hobby!!! -Davey
January 22, 201015 yr Hi , my name is Hagge (Hagge hagglöv as Killer like to call me) and I have also contributed to this "city" with some of the bricks I used in the late 80:s, looking forward to getting the city infrastucture functioning so that we, and the citizens of this town, all can enjoy it.
January 23, 201015 yr Welcome to the Eurobricks forum, Hagge, please do enjoy your time here! I'm happy to read you also took part into the construction of this beautifull city.
January 23, 201015 yr Author Here is a preview of the upcoming layout we are working out: Sadly I had not real camera when I took this picture, only my old mobile phones crappy camera. Anyway, better pictures to be uploaded on sunday :) Edited January 23, 201015 yr by Killerrabbit
January 23, 201015 yr ...the new city has to fit on top of the bookshelf... Speaking of which, here's a fast snap of the current setup (eagerly awaiting the Grand Emporium): It's a tough fit, most of my stuff (especially the 9V trains) has to be stacked in boxes in the wardrobe closet.. So, it's the three of you, spending your weekend somewhere in wintry Ostrobothnia (from what I gather?), building a huge layout, sipping beers? Not bad. Not bad at all.

Thats about right, we are from the beautiful archipelago outside Vaasa. So yes we have spent our weekends building old -80's Lego (and some newer sets that accidentally dropped into the shopping van while shopping) while downing some beers. It's cheaper and more fun that going to the pub anyway... well cheaper so far - but now I have the Green Grocer waiting for me in Vaasa customs office after an order from US, and most likely Cafe Corner, Grand Emporium & Eiffel Tower will be on its way in the months to come as well! And as for your bookshelf collection, you have all the sets we don't have, and I want them all!! :) Edit: Oh btw if you can't build large, why not build up? I just recently watched this small, but big layout of a lego city: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7uUizrHMew Edited January 23, 201015 yr by Killerrabbit
January 23, 201015 yr Looking good 'Killerrabbit' ! I like the classic town ship to rail freight set going - very good ! 'Killerrabbit' you I'm a conformist! !
January 24, 201015 yr Author Time for an update with our work in progress: And more photos from the lego we have no layout for yet: Edited January 24, 201015 yr by Killerrabbit
January 27, 201015 yr Author Today Green Grocer arrived after Finnish customs has played with it for 1.5 weeks! Also more 9v & 12v tracks is on it way and should arrive tomorrow, along with other misc classic sets. Meaning; A more polished and bigger layout update is to expect the next 1-2 days
