Rick Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Beautiful MOC MetroiD - one of my fellow bloggers - has blogged this today on Classic-Town.net. We would appreciate it if you would add a picture to our Classic-Town flickr group. Quote
prateek Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Wow. This is amazing. I like it. There are too many details to list, but they are all great Quote
BlueBard Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Brilliant job, really! Amazing details everywhere and a fantastic ensemble. The balconies, the knight&cross section, the green touches, the chocolate ad, the garage, the Tattoo shop entrance... so many reasons to say to you BRAVO! Quote
Big Cam Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Brilliant!!! So much to tocuh on. -The bums, very fun -The red brickwork, looks fantastic -I love all the foliage you added, most buildings get none. -The garage/ervice door, is cool, I usually don't see that on modular builds. -The dumpster, done very nicely. -All the different rooms and levels you have up top, it's not just a solid square, it really gives more depth and feelign to the MOC. -The rooftop access and flooring, I love that you utilized that. -The mini stand with the chef out front was well incorporated. i'm getting tired, it's just brillaint, so much fun and I applaud your hardwork. mikey Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 This is great, outstanding intricate details, I really like the pirate vibe the MOC gives off. If you have this much skill with Lego, I would not worry about mere language! Quote
Badsneaker Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 This is really incredible! What a feast for the eyes!! Don't worry about language, you are speaking in LEGO, and that, my friend, is a universal language here!! Quote
richb Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I think my favorite touch is the pirate bandana sideways in the trashcan. When I first saw that I was scratching my head trying to figure out what set I missed that had tied-up trashbags in it! Quote
Zorbas Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Amazing MOC Captain'Spaulding! The overall design is great and it's not something you see everyday. There is a huge amount of very interesting things (don't you just love the two hobos scene? ) and the building itself has some great details. In the second picture, this building' s section seems to be made of tan bricks. I then realized that it was the lighting. Really, an outstanding creation! If that is your first town building then the future is more than promising. Keep it just like that! If you have this much skill with Lego, I would not worry about mere language! That was my first reaction too! Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I think your building is fantastic. You have really captured that old urban feel. I like how the building appears very different from different sides and angles and exposes different building material and level of maintenance. That has been my experience with these types of buildings in the real world. You have tons of details from the weeds and bums to the double stripe on the front of the building. It really is spectacular. It has such a different feel and approach to it from what we have been seeing lately. Absolutely amazing! Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 A picture speaks a thousand words ! Yeah it that old saying again, but with this MOC it's true ! AWESOME design from the front to dumpster to the upmarket bums (why upmarket ? they are drinking from wine goblets ) ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Captain'Spaulding Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 thanks!!! I've understand that you like it! Cool! I've done the inside too, I'll post pictures... Maybe this weekend. Thanks again! Quote

Captain'Spaulding Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 Magnifique !!! Bravo, really amazing one, you should sell them :D But definitelly. Question : How long did it take you and how much did it cost you ? Thanks! -It take 3 months to build but I've not work all days! I've no job when I do it, I 've build it for pleasure, I don't realy know maybe more than 50 hours??? -I need only one BL order.... 50€ (75$) It's my mother present for Christmas .There're lot of pieces that I've when I was young (15 years for many!) And I buy all new pirates and some Indy set and one "tan" house (4954) last year. And one chef small set (3€) Quote
Izzy Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Absolutely brilliant work Captain'Spaulding! So many colourful characters and super cool little details that have already been mentioned by everyone else. I'd just like to add, Hmmmmm Nutella! My favourite! I can't wait to see the inside of the tattoo shop too. Quote

cagri Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Amazing creation with tons of details! It will take some time to notice them all. Well worth spending the tiem on it though. Congratulations! Quote
Captain'Spaulding Posted January 23, 2010 Author Posted January 23, 2010 The last floor, nthing in there... why? It's the "private" floor! Capt'n Spaulding. : Those picts are WIP, I'll edit my post when I've got final picture! (hope you like!) Quote
richb Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I can't even begin to list how many wonderful things there are in this photo. Magnificent! Quote
Wout Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 What a terriffic moc! So many great details; the piratebandana's for dirtbags, the birds, the stairs, the kitchenoven, the billiard with comfy chairs (although that guy who sits in it, doesn't looks like he finds it very comfortable ), the tortureroom tattoo room. My english is also not always that great, but if you are hanging here long enough you will learn more I think. Quote
dr_spock Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Absolutely fantastic MOC. Lots of little details. Definitely a joy to look at. Quote
