Posted January 22, 201015 yr Hi, A few days ago, after playing Super Mario Kart Wii, I build a Mario minifig for my son, then I looked at it and tried to build the kart. A small MOC but it was fun to build. I don't know if this belongs in the town theme but if not a moderator can move it please. Thank's for looking brickshelf folder Flickr
January 22, 201015 yr Wow! That looks great Just like the real thing! I like the way you did those black and white stripes on the side It would be really cool if you could make some more for different characters, maybe Boo? He's my favorite Edited January 22, 201015 yr by MarcusV3
January 23, 201015 yr Simply wonderful, I really like the cartoonish style and the choice for the face!
January 23, 201015 yr Very clever - what an adorable little Mario vehicle. I love those brick-built black and white stripes. While Mariokart may be licensed, it's not quite LEGO Licensed, so I think Town is just fine for this fantastic little creation. In fact, quite deserving of a front-page blog, with one slight modification. Great job Rupi. I'd love to build one for a little EB Racing competition (kinda like a Snow Box Derby).
January 23, 201015 yr Wow, this is a sweet little build Rupi! It's so sleek, it looks like a lot of fun to zoom around on the floor. The only problem is, I'm sorry to say this, with such a great little kart, I know I'm not the only one who will want to see karts for the other racers too! Nicely done!
January 23, 201015 yr Totally AWESOME ! What a great MOC 'Rupi' ! Looks like it just popped out of a video game ! I'm a conformist! !
January 23, 201015 yr I love the game. I love the moc. Mario looks really great I love him! How about Luigi's kart next?
January 23, 201015 yr Great rendition of the Nintendo classic. I also like how you've built Mario from relatively common minifig parts, but nevertheless he's instantly recognizable. Next to being frontpaged, Shadows has also blogged your MOC on Classic-Town.net. Be sure to add a picture to our Classic-Town flickr group.
January 23, 201015 yr It's super cool! Totally recognisable and what a simply but brilliant built! We could have a Karts Race at our next big event with a big track and lots of nice stuff around it, just like the game.... what do you say, Rupi?
January 23, 201015 yr Cool. I love the design. The SNOT techniques are well done and the colours are good. The stripes on the side are great.
January 23, 201015 yr Author Thank's for the nice comments About building some other characters from Mario kart I would like that, I choose Mario because it was the easiest to make with regular Lego parts. But I will check my parts boxes to see what other characters I can do
January 23, 201015 yr That looks like our Pizza Face, Moderator, Erdbeereis! Seriously, Rupi, a great piece of creation that you have done down there. Enjoyed it very much, especially when I am a big fan of Mario Kart, racing against those Mario characters. Hope you have more plans for other Mario characters too! Thanks for sharing it with us.
January 23, 201015 yr Great job! My favorite parts are the quadruple exhaust pipes, the inverted rear tires, and the front end. Could you please provide either instructions or at least an exploded view? I am very curious as to how you managed to attach the side elements to the rest of the vehicle (especially near the center). -Toa Of Justice
January 24, 201015 yr Haha, very nice, that mustache is perfect for Mario. I like it alot, are you planning to do the rest of the characters?

As for the building instructions I will try to post a picture of the kart with some parts separated. But the connection you mentioned is made with a bracket 1x1 attached to the headlight brick. You can see it in this photo.

By the way, how hard was it to invert the rear tires? I tried it myself, and it was very hard to do, but I was eventually able to do it. -Toa Of Justice
