Chris Phipson Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 (edited) DANGIT! I just realized I should be putting MOC before the title! I'll do that next time I promise. Oh, and I hope I'm posting this in the right theme... MOCpages users will have already seen this. It was part of "Phip's Clips Volume 2" and I just wanted to share it here 'cause hey, it's funny! Heck, even my wife laughed at this one. Men are simple creatures. We need only four things in life (aside from Lego) to make us truly happy and I’m here to share those with you now. The number one need for a man is a woman who can cook. The number two need for a man is a woman that can keep a clean house. The number three need for a man is a woman who’s CRAZY in bed. Fourth wall commentary: The fireplace on the left is actually a replica of the fireplace I have in my own house. Though mine's not made out of ABS and isn't in the bedroom... And number four, which is the MOST important need of all, is that these 3 women do NOT know about each other. If you liked this, you can read all of "Phip's Clips" volume one here and volume two here! Edited January 28, 2010 by TheBrickster Quote
L-space Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 So true. And nice looking MOC's as well. A double from me then. Quote
BlueBard Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 (edited) Funny vigs! And the design of the house is pretty interesting, especially the use of those new 2x4 green tiles in the exterior At first, when I saw the title of your topic I thought at a sketch by a french actress, Florence Foresti, called "J'aime pas les garçons" (I don't like boys) where she says that the four things that a man needs are: a Porsche, a Playstation, a Cow and a Potato If you understand french you can see it here (I promise you won't stop laughing ) Edited January 25, 2010 by BlueBard Quote
Dr. Steve Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I needed that laugh to get my Monday Morning going. Love the slave Leah and the guy with the camera. Very funny! Quote
Trexxen Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Haha, oh wow - that's brilliant! I've gotta say, I've heard that joke, but I've never imagined it as a MOC until now...simply brilliant! My favorite aspect of it, though, is that it may be a joke MOC, but it still has an impressive amount of detail in each scene. The cobblestone driveway, the uh...bottles in the bedroom, the oven, the fireplace - all of it is stuff that didn't have to be there to make the joke work, but it still is. Great job on this; I'm going to go check out the rest of them ~Trexxen Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Hope that guy has good heath insurance because of being attacked by frypan, whip and broom.....that's gotta hurt ! Great MOC's - real funny - well detailed and man some ticked off females ! I'm a conformist! 'Chris Phipson' ! Quote
Davey Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Hey Chris! Saw this on MOCPages and it's great to see it here as well. Aside from the fantastic humor here, the build is really well done as well. I love the fascia of the house. I know you don't fancy yourself a Town builder, but you certainly have the talent for it. I hope to see you building more Town creations and contributing to the Town forum here on EB. Great work and again, welcome to EB. -Davey Quote
MetroiD Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Ah, so true! If Number 4 can somehow be avoided though, you might say you have a perfect find on your hands! That aside - welcome to Eurobricks, Chris!!! Delighted to see your here, hope I'll see many more of your great MOCs posted here :] Cheers! Quote
Rick Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 When I saw this topic earlier today I expected it to generate some more discussion, especially among our female members. I hope they can see the humor in this as well, 'cause I certainly do. And indeed, the scenes are really well-built (and so is that minifig in the third scene ). Quote
Sandy Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Oh my gawd, you actually had me going "You chauvinisti...MWAHAHAHA!!!" If it weren't for the fourth picture, I would've kicked your butt, but that made it all okay. Loving the humor, loving the building! Quote
prateek Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 HAHAHAHA! I think I've heard this joke before, but it's even funnier in ABS form Quote
jaredchan Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I have never heard of this joke and the last need is really a nice surprise Nice to read and to look at! Quote
Chris Phipson Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 Oh my gawd, you actually had me going "You chauvinisti...MWAHAHAHA!!!" If it weren't for the fourth picture, I would've kicked your butt, but that made it all okay. Loving the humor, loving the building! I've never been known for "safe" humor, but being as even my wife laughed at this one... hahahaha I'm glad you enjoyed it. Maybe someday I'll do a moc of neanderthal's sitting on a couch, eating nachos, drinking beer and farting while watching grown men chase a small sack of pigskin back and forth on a field and try to kill each other. You know, just to be fair and all HAHAHA and if you guys think this moc is "contraversial" you should check out my "Communications Universal Networking Transponder." Thank you all for your warm welcome to EB by the way! I've been here for less than 48 hours and I feel perfectly at home already. ~Chris. Quote
Dennimator Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Hahaha! This is so true! ..Er.. I mean... Anyway, love the MOC with all the small details and the humour as well. Great work! Quote
