For those who haven't had a chance to catch these on Flickr or MOCpages:

I've started another SHIP that should (if all goes well...IF!!!...) amount to something slightly larger than the Invisible Hand (completed a couple of years ago). It's a hypothetical sister ship to the Spirit of Fire, seen in the game Halo Wars, with many similarities as well as some variations in detail and form...

I'm now in the throws of working out the skeletal strucure.

Once that's complete, then I'll get back into detailing various elements that will later attach to the main frame.

Well, I've said it before, I'll say it again...

Me doing Clone Wars, you doing Halo... Did anyone else see Satan skating to work this morning?

~Chris.

Very impressive. That scale looks like it's be hard to do. You seem to have nailed it.

AWESOME so far - fantastic mid-scale space ship !

Can not wait to see the end result. :sweet:

Keep on going - I'm a conformist! too ! :classic:

Hello!

I am not into HALO but I have a faible for capital starships, may they be built small or large (like yours). The two detail sections you show are pretty nice and we can imagine how huge the entire ship will be. :classic:

Cheers,

~ Christopher

Sounds like one heck of a project! I remember someone was attempting a Halo ship a while ago. Looks like you have a good start, and I bet this will be huge! I am not a huge fan of Halo, but capitol ships always look awe inspiring.

Wow, this already looks like it will be incredible. Can't wait to see how it turn out!

Yeah, honestly I'm not a huge Halo fan either (although, I've played my fair share of the games and I'm "okay" with it). I was considering several different reference shots and concept sketches when I stumbled on to this beast. It was lust at first sight!

Oh, it's going to be big! I'm not familiar with the original ship but the referenceshot looked very nice and seeing the invisible hand I understand that you are not jokeing about this :classic: The pics of the first parts look very good - I especially like the detailing on the... bridge or something, the top part anyway. It has a nice brickish yet detailed look that I instantly liked, and I like the "bands" over the lower part. I want to see continuos pics of this work and wish you good luck!

Thanks! I spent a good bit of time talking and hanging with Brian Kescenovitz, and he has a particular taste in building styles that I admit has had some influence of how I'm approaching the look of this thing. I'll be sure to post some pics as it progresses, and thanks for your interest!

This, my friend, is probably one of the most beautiful MOCs I've ever seen, even if it is only a WIP. From what you have done, it looks pretty damn spot on. I, for one, love Halo, and can't wait to see the finished product. Your MOCs are great, Mr. Kelso.

Really nice of you to say, thanks very much. It's still got a hell of a long way to go (and as I always say...there's still time to screw it up! ), but progress has been good, and I'll post of few more WIP threads as it moves along to keep the masses entertained. Cheers!
