Oky Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 In order to be able to outrun the Okymobile, the Evil Emperor Zurg has constructed a hot rod for himself! For an extra boost, it has a big jet engine in the back! It's equipped with the most powerful engines in the galaxy! The custom license plate in the back leaves no doubt of who the evil driver of this monstrosity is! The cockpit opens up! (I had a hard time making a drivers cabin big enough for Zurg's tall body to fit into, so I had to make a sitting lower body for him.) But no matter how fast your wheels are, you can't escape justice! The Okymobile is in hot pursuit! (Was that corny enough? Help me out here, Batbrick!) Zurg: "Mine's longer!" More pics soon in this brickshelf folder. Hope you liked it. C&C is welcome. And don't forget to vote on which Star Command MOC you'd like to see next in this thread. Thanks. To the Okymobile! Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Oky Wan Kenobi This are amazing MOCs! Great usage of new parts from Build-a-thing! Maaan, I would love to see this in new movie! Quote
brickzone Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I love it! Perfect style, clever use of the Build a Zurg set! I like the engine block! Quote
badboytje88 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Whahaha these are great! I love the use of the big fig parts for car parts for the little figs! Quote
prateek Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 i'm jealous of your Toy Story sets This is an awesome car, it fits nicely with the other car you made. Nice use of Build-A-Zurg parts too Quote
sok117 Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Nice way to incorporate signature parts from the build-a-blank sets to give the cars a personalized feel. I couldn't help but think of something funny when you showed your solution to fitting zerg inside the drivers seat. zerg minnion: Sir, we have to get away, Buzz is coming Zerg: hold on, I need to get my driving legs on! Nice job and keep on Moccing, cant wait to see your next creation. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Sensational work on both these beauties Oky. Just what I imagine these guys cruising around in. All that purple is quite a sight. Quote
NewRight Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 That's great and those colors are awesome. Intresting idea with all of this. Quote
The Who Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Another great vehicle, Oky. If you wanted to get technical, there would need to be some sort of air intake system for the jet engine, not just the regular engine. But that's just a technicality. I like how The Okymobile looks like a Formula 1 car, and Zurg's looks like a car made for Drag Racing. Quote
Batbrick Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Very cool Oky, I love the sheer amount of purple in this moc, though the different coloured purple technic piece stands out a bit. The engine looks great, but my favourite touch is the license plate. The use of the top of the big Zurg's head for the mobile is wonderfully inspired as well, fantastic stuff! Batbrick Away! Quote
ILikePi Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 That looks very intimidating! I like the usage of purple parts from current sets (Ambush in Cairo, Smash 'n' Grab, Construct-a-Zurg), and it complements your Okymobile very well. I also like how you got Zurg to fit in without removing his capes or anything! Quote
squidman85 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Heh,great MOC.(I used the idea with the roof of cockpit in my old Power Miners MOC).I like the engines and the front of the vehicle.New purple looks much better, than old. Quote
Big Cam Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Very fun, you sure take atheme and run with it. Great work, I love the big zurg mouth used for the grill. Quote
Oky Posted January 31, 2010 Author Posted January 31, 2010 Thanks for all the kind comments, everyone. I'm glad you're enjoying these little MOCs of mine. If you wanted to get technical, there would need to be some sort of air intake system for the jet engine, not just the regular engine. But that's just a technicality. Uhm, isn't that what the big purple air intake pieces on the sides are? I like how The Okymobile looks like a Formula 1 car, and Zurg's looks like a car made for Drag Racing. Yeah, I thought they should both have their own style, and for some reason, hot rods are always best suited for the bad guy. Very cool Oky, I love the sheer amount of purple in this moc, though the different coloured purple technic piece stands out a bit. Yeah, I was unsure weather to include it myself, but I definitely wanted to use the tires, and I didn't want them to be the only old purple pieces in the MOC. Just imagine that they are very dusty. So, you don't have any witty justice-related line I could use? Quote
Updike Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 A truly inspired use of the zurg head and mouth, I can't wait to see any other toy story mocs you create. It was one of my favourite films as a kid, you could make an Andy's toybox mafia! Quote
Brad-The-Brick Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Best toy story moc so far. but that isn't saying much since there are only about 3 on here. Quote

Oky Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) Zurg: "Mine's longer!" that's what she said What a deep, inspirational, and constructive way to revive a thread. Posting it twice was especially helpful. I'm glad I was able to amuse you though. How d'ya come up with the idea of building the Zurgmoblie? Well, as I already said, I needed an opponent for my Okymobile, and I was also inspired by the Disney Diecast Racers. Edited June 8, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote

Shadows Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Well someone had to revive it Why exactly did someone need to revive it, and if so, who appointed you? Don't make identical posts in the same topic. It was moderately funny the first time, it's just annoying the second. Quote
clubpenguin Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) I didn't mean to, it wasn't showing up so I tried posting it gain Why exactly did someone need to revive it, and if so, who appointed you? darth Vader ordered me to revive it so we could rule the galaxy together Edited June 8, 2010 by clubpenguin Quote
