What are your Top 3 Favorite Elements from the 2009 Pirate Wave

Ok, Now that all the Pirate sets have been released I have a question for you.

What are your top 3 favorite parts/elements that we got in the 2009 wave of Lego pirate. This could be a specific part, a minifig or even a new color.

Here are mine

1. The Printed Shako (an army builders dream)

2. The Double sided Imperial Soldier Torso

3. The Telescope (I love using this as a railing for a ship)

Nice topic idea I know this sounds crazy but my 3 favorite pieces are the exact same as yours, the best being the shako followed by the torso.

My favorites are the telescope elements, many ways to use them.

The golden epaulettes, they are very realistic.

The metal coloured cannons are much better then the old dark grey ones, they look so real now.

I would have to say the Shako, the metallic cannon and the Captain/Admiral's torso. I have always wanted a really nice torso for a captain. The old captain torsos weren't distinguished enough for me.

P.S. The telescopes are great, so are the golden hooks.

I like the use of the beard piece on the shipwrecked pirate.

I like the painted Shako, and want an army of the new Imperials (I loved the old redcoats, but the new ones are even better!)

And I really quite like the telescope.

I just love the cannons.

And all in all, the Imperial Soldiers look real sharp from head to toe, with all the different faces and accessories, like the Shako.

The telescope piece was indeed a nice addition to the piece assortment of TLG. The governor's torso is incredibly detailed and the dark blue is a great color that goes really well with the gold print. I wouldn't know a third piece that really stands out (the old unprinted shako was already fine with me), but the color scheme of the 2009 line in general is really good. Lots of dark-red, dark-blue, dark-brown, and gold.

Indeed the biggest mistake of that otherwise pretty nice looking little island base plate. I would have bought two if they had a straight back.

The telescope is great and in various colors has so many uses.

The dark green legs on the pirates are great too.

I wish they had come up with a new map piece for the pirate line instead of using the Indy map piece though.

Good idea for a topic. I would have to say that my absolutly favorite element was the shooting cannons since I really hadn't had those before. My second would be the new admirals coat and my third favorite would be the new hulls for the bow. I love how they are modular and how there is now window on the bow.
