Jameson42 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 (edited) Welcome, one and all, to the hottest pizza shop around, Luigi's Pizzeria! The second floor houses an apartment. This mother and son just moved in! Watch out for the lunchtime rush! This pizza place gets very crowded. (Looks like Luke should have left a little earlier) This gentleman was in such a rush to beat the lunchtime crowds, he forgot to get dressed! The pizza oven opens, and can hold up to 4 pies. Thanks for visiting! As usual, larger pictures are available on my flickr. EDIT: I've changed the corner of the roof slightly, updated pics here. Edited February 7, 2010 by Jameson42 Quote
dr_spock Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Nicely done. Good details. No anchovies on mine, please. Maybe it should be labeled as NSFW (Not Safe For Work) since there's a naked mini-fig there. Quote
prateek Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Another great modular! I really like how you made the oven and the roof. The colours are nice too. IMO, the tower's roof is too big. Quote

WhiteFang Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Jameson42, I love this modular pizzeria building of yours, with an awesome nice combination of grey and dark green facade. Lots of great details, and nice arrangment in this set up. This has been featured in Classic-Town.net. Quote

CMP Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 This is good. I like the sideways door as the oven, and the outside is excellent. Quote
sok117 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I this whole thing. This is really really good, I do have one question though, why does that one guy need a helmet to make pizzas? Quote
WhiteFang Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Thanks for the feature! Oh, and you might want to add this into our Classic-Town.net Flickr pool. Quote
ACCURATEin Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I love this! A lot of the pieces are from the green grocer. Definitely the hottest pizza shop around town! Very crisp photos too! Quote
Rick Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Thanks for the feature! Well-deserved. I agree on the tower roof comments. Making the roof smaller will also set it apart from Cafe Corner more. I like this top floor a lot more than the owls you had on there first when I saw it on flickr the other day. Quote
RXBandit Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 fantastic job, i love all the details. the oven is especially clever. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I'll have a ham and cheese hold the onions ! AWESOME MODULAR MOC - I just love the kitchen area with a cool (so to speak) pizza oven, but where's the garlic bread ? You have done a fantastic job in designing and building this, 'Jamieson42' ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
blueandwhite Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Nice work. Your pizzeria is a very clean design with an incredible interior. I like almost everything about the design with the possible exception of the large roof on the tower and the fencing along the rooftop which seems a bit out of place when compared to the elegant and clean design of the rest of the shop. The colour choices are perfect, as is the interior which looks busy and befitting a pizzeria. Keep those MOCs coming. Quote
BlueBard Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Nice pizzeria, Jameson42! Love the CC style you gave to your pizzeria, the interior is impressive too, and the Mf's scenes around funny, so great job I hope this new incorporation to City Town won't borrow clients to Al's... Quote

Oh, the guy to the left of the cash register? He's a customer. He's getting condiments for his pizza. Oh, and you might want to add this into our Classic-Town.net Flickr pool. Done. I love this! A lot of the pieces are from the green grocer.Definitely the hottest pizza shop around town! Very crisp photos too! Yeah, I actually disassembled my GG for the express purpose of building a corner shop. Nice pizzeria, Jameson42! Love the CC style you gave to your pizzeria, the interior is impressive too, and the Mf's scenes around funny, so great job I hope this new incorporation to City Town won't borrow clients to Al's... I'll try to make sure they don't grab too much of Al's business. I wouldn't want your goons to come after poor old Luigi! Quote
Big Cam Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Wow, this is great. I love all the great designs that are coming out of the modular series. The outside is great, I love all the figs, especially when they are positioned in a real manner. The interior is great, that's alot of pizza's. Is there anything upstairs? Quote
Dr. Steve Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Wow! So much detail, great Moc. I really like the use of the door for the pizza oven, the tan tile on the side walk is great and the use of red green and white on the awnings over the windows really makes this look like an authentic Pizzeria. The overall color scheme of the building and the interior is also very well done. I really like the cop arresting that guy, and poor Luke looks so upset. VERY FUNNY! Quote

The Cobra Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 That's great, and I like the multi-angled roof. Also, great techniques on the inside. Quote
Jameson42 Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 (edited) I've gotten a few comments on the weirdness of the tower, so I'm making an attempt at a rounded corner for the roof. Edited February 2, 2010 by Jameson42 Quote
BlueBard Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 The new rounded roof looks nice Nevertheless I prefered the old one with the tower If you want my advice don't let some people's comments influence your MOCs, just create as you feel it, that's the essence of Lego Quote

I had put it there to fill the space, had a ton of trouble getting the angle right, and never felt comfortable with the sizing of it no matter how I reworked it. So I'll likely keep the rounded bit, it's just a matter of figuring out how I want to cap it off. Quote
