February 12, 201015 yr Author Fantastic review, Zorbas - your pictures are numerous and well taken. From the moment I saw the first pictures, I was certain that this would be one of the few 2010 sets I would add to my collection. Besides the fact that it included four brand new pig molds, the design of the tractor and pen looked fantastic, and the color scheme and minifigs were great as well. Your review has only confirmed these beliefs, and I'm fairly sure I'll add it to my collection eventually. Unfortunately, this also means I'll have to rearange my display shelves again, as my current Farm display is alrealy a little too big for the shelf it is on. Thanks for your good word Grevious. I 'm really glad you liked it. I still haven't placed it next to the Farm set yet, (the two Farm buildings are disassembled) but it's definitely in my plans. I think that they will look great next to each other. My advice? Start searching for space! The pigs need some room for rolling!
February 13, 201015 yr Good review I think that they should have included different animals, but pigs are good I guess
February 14, 201015 yr Thanks for the review. I think this set must be purchased though I see some negative point down here. Personally, I don't like the tractor. I understand that they've tried to make it different from those we've seen in 7634 and 7637 but still I don't like it. To me, it doesn't look solid, the design is not that slick or finished. Neither I like the man minifig which is the same as in 7637, they could have painted him differently. But I really like the trailer, for me is is designed better and more "classic-town-styled" then the trailer in 7637. The coral is marvelous, too. First of all because of its simplicity. And of course, 4 pigs per set is great.
February 14, 201015 yr Zorbas, I'd seen your review in the Academy, but I thought I ought to say publicly what an fantastic review it is! Keep polishing that bronze, I know I am One question: the tyres on the trailer are bigger than the 'standard' size tyres, I think? You've set a new benchmark for review standards, hope we can keep up!

To me, it doesn't look solid, the design is not that slick or finished. I know what you mean but trust me, once you see it from close, or better build it, you'll see that it looks great. Speaking for myself, I think that it's the most realistic of the three. It has this "rough" look that does the job. About the tyres, yes, these are a little bit bigger than the average tyres used in most city sets. They look more inflated. I took some quick photos to see the difference. Hope they helped. You can also check them here. Thanks again for your comments classmate!
March 2, 201014 yr many thanks for this awesome review. Great photos of pigs. This set has just been launched in our local stores, so when the discussions come to set, a lot of our community members turn to this review and they find it brilliant. Great review!!!

March 6, 201014 yr Amazing review, Zorbas - your pics really are stunning Now that this is finally available on S@H, and soon in stores, I'm really looking forward to it. The Farm subtheme was truly excellent last year so I'm glad to see it continuing in some form with this set and the forthcoming Impulse, and who could resist those delicious little barrel o' bacons wandering around one's layout? Some interesting techniques in this set, and the tractor is very impressive. Thanks!
March 7, 201014 yr Fantastic review, Zorbas. I bought this set just yesterday but only today found your review!!! But I reckon if I'd read your review earlier I would have been even more eager to buy the set. Out of interest, I found that the pig pen sits very nicely on one of the old 16 x 22 baseplates for those who prefer things on a baseplate. Thanks, Laurie

I must agree that the Farm subtheme is one of the best moves TLG has made because it brought variety in the City theme. And how about that bacon huh? Fantastic review, Zorbas. I bought this set just yesterday but only today found your review!!! Thanks, Laurie Thanks Laurie! I must admit, you gave me the motive to unpack all of my farm sets and bring them together for a picture. It's just a quick photo I took since unfortunately the lack of space is preventing me for having them on display. The display looks a bit crowded but I was on a rush. Enjoy the real thing btw!
March 7, 201014 yr I really lliked the review. I immediatley went to my local Lego store and picked up the pig farm! Thanks
March 7, 201014 yr Great display! I rarely have time (or room) to have all sets from a subtheme on display at once so I enjoyed this vicarious view immensely!
March 9, 201014 yr Now I've seen all the sets together I'm convinced; I'm going to try to collect the farm sub-theme. Just have to find a way to tell this to my girlfriend Damn you TLC for doing such a great job
April 8, 201014 yr I don't spend a lot of time in the City forums, so I missed this review. As alway you've got some fantastic photos, and wonderful explanation of the set and it's many features. I've been really looking forward to this set, but didn't know it had already been released in the U.S. Imagine my surprise when I saw it sitting on the shelf of my local LEGO store last night -- can't wait to put it together. I might even get my other Farm sets out and work on putting a little scene togehter.
May 27, 201014 yr Hey Zorbas! You know from PM that I enjoyed this review immensely, and just today got my copy of the set. It's slightly smaller than I thought, but I'm in love with all of it. Four pigs are amazing, and add greatly to my Lego menagerie. As a kid, I was only so-so impressed by tractors, even though I loved riding in the wagon of the one my grandpa owned... perhaps because of that, I found this set very nostalgic. Thanks for making such a great review to put this set on my radar!
May 27, 201014 yr Author Thanks for your very kind words def! After all, you were a great advisor as a teacher in the RA. I'm really glad to hear that this review had a small contribution in your decision of buying the set. The set itself was indeed a great way for the introduction of our little delicious cute friends and a great start for a pork frenzy! Enjoy the set! Oh, and remember: LEGO pigs are not suitable for a healthy and well balanced diet. (Tzatziki is most suitable on the other hand!)
May 27, 201014 yr Great review! I want to love the Farm set, but it's just not in my budget... Lego pigs though... That makes it a lot harder. LOL
August 16, 201014 yr Fantastic review, Zorbas! I finally got around to picking up a copy of this set today and am extremely pleased with it. While the pigs look cute in pictures, they are that much better when you have them in hand. I really like their size and feel, and am very happy that they are of high quality plastic. The enclosure is my favorite part of the set and I'd have been happy to see it sold by itself. I can't say that I really needed a third tractor on my farm, but its design is undeniably very good and I can accept its inclusion as a means for extra playability. This set is easily one of my favorites of all the city ones this year. I hope to see more farm based sets in the future.
August 17, 201014 yr Picked this up for £14.99 from Argos clearance a few weeks ago. The pigs are fantastic but the torso's we have seen before & the tractor is stupidly oversized! Put it on a road plate & it takes up both lanes!
