sens1992 Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Well, this is yet another gas station I have made. I kind of based it on a Texaco gas station. I added a couple of photos of it on flickr for more details! Thanks. http://www.flickr.com/photos/45260367@N08/ Quote
Legostein Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Hello! It's quite well equipped with accessories your gas station! The glas roof is particularly nice as is the mosaicked floor in the shop with the tiles. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Brick & Mortimer Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Wow, nice gas station. To me it has a sort of 80's-looks Quote
Big Cam Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Awesome, I love the open feel. I've actually seen stations like this. I love the floor in the office area, and all the little details like the windshield washer fluid bottles. I think it's the wideness of this image, but I just love it. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 All you'll need to do now is 'Sens1992' is sticker it ! Very nice tiling job, the best SNOT servo I've seen in a long time. The glass roof, very good - sadly uses up all those great clear panels (could have done a Kmart/Walmart frontage with them). The servo shop is cute too, plenty of room to make changes or add things of you like. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Minxter Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Nice!!!! Too bad Lego dont sell sets like this. Quote
sens1992 Posted February 4, 2010 Author Posted February 4, 2010 Thanks for all comments guys. You are right Lightnintiger, it is missing some stickers. I am working on them as we speak and this will become an official Texaco Gas Station. I always like to create sets that are close to what LEGO does for the city line (minifigure friendly and not too many details). I ordered that one from Design By Me (LDD) after building it and it has cost me $200 CAD (around $185) which is way too much! Quote
prateek Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Another cool gas station! I really like all the windows on it, and the tiled floor in the shop is cool too Quote
MetroiD Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 You gas station master you I still remember that first one you ordered off S@H - you know too well how much I liked it, but this one has so much more atmosphere to it! It just oozes Classic Town! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Nice! The colours strongly remind me from the Texaco gas stations. It looks very modern and smooth with all the tiling. An excellent creation! Quote
sens1992 Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 Thanks again guys. I really like building gas stations. I love those station that are out of the ordinary when it comes to colors or style. I am working on some stickers for that one. And, like I said above, it is or will be a Texaco Gas Station! Quote
Rick Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Nice little gas station indeed. I like the smooth tiled finish of it. Quote
ImLost Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 The gas station looks incredible. My favorite part is your store's interior, particularly the sink. Quote
Zorbas Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Very nice work sens1992! I like the overall design and as MetroiD correctly stated, it really looks like a classic town gas station. The black looks of it with the small touches of red works great and the whole thing turned out pretty realistic. I always like to create sets that are close to what LEGO does for the city line (minifigure friendly and not too many details). That's the key I think. Good job! Quote
Davey Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Great job on this little service station. I the Classic Town look and feel and the glass roof design is stellar. Again, excellent work and this has been featured on Classic-Town.net. -Davey Quote
