February 5, 201015 yr I went and gathered all the different arrows I could find in my collection. I wish we were still getting these in modern sets. They look nice on both Space and Technic models. Just perfect! This is one of my all-time favorites. Call me crazy but I really like it. The printing on the tile is just excellent and looks great and the quality is still perfect, just like new. I got a bunch of these in a 6395 set last summer (MISB, but the condition was worse than most MISB sets), but they had been packaged along with a bunch of tires and the printing on most of them was smudged up. I still need to try and find replacements for them.
February 5, 201015 yr Author I love all those crazy diagrammatic black-and-white tiles! I don't think I'd ever seen those before Some of them remind me of baseplate layouts for minifigs, if minifigs made layouts out of baseplates! Here's another favourite of mine - just an amazing piece with a multitude of uses, from the architectural to the botanical (as crazy tree roots). I am amazed people don't use more of these in conjunction with their regular arch counterparts to do circular motifs - so I was pleased to see this type of design appear in the Neptune Carrier!:
February 5, 201015 yr I also have a couple to add since I saw a couple more animals posted! Yeah I have a real soft spot for LEGO animals.
February 5, 201015 yr This hair:[Trace hair] Me too! I have to say I really like the dark red version as well. [chrome hilt] Yes, that's pretty much the best for me, or anything chrome, I guess. There's no other way to describe the sensation I get when finding one of those in a Limited Edition set besides "pure joy". (I'm being a little overly-dramatic here...) These exist?! I had no idea before, now I'm going to have to make some crazy ARCHitecture. I'd also say that I'm pretty fond of tiles. Especially shiney new ones, preferably in dark green, dark blue, dark red, dark tan, or dark brown.

I don't think I'd ever seen those before Some of them remind me of baseplate layouts for minifigs, if minifigs made layouts out of baseplates! Those bottom tiles are actually stickers meant for the control center and came with 8094 and a few Lego Education sets. There are 21 of them in total. Unfortunately, the stickers are not exactly the right size for 2x2 tiles and tend to hang over the edges, which causes them to fray over time.
February 5, 201015 yr Gotta love that transparanty goodness and the general coolness of electric sparks!
February 6, 201015 yr Here's part of my list of parts that I like very much but that aren't universally acclaimed: Chain I always wonder how TLG manages to mold the chain links together without having them stick to each other when the plastic is still liquid. Large flame I love how this piece is marbled from trans-red to trans-yellow! Also, it has a great shape. Temple of the Crystal Skull raised baseplate I like how there are lots of pits and different elevations on this baseplate! It provides lots of MOCing ideas, for example, brickzone's Agents HQ. Flick-fire missile I don't really understand why people hate this so much. It gives lots of extra playability, and you don't have to fire it if you don't want to! They've also been used as non-FFM related things, like the left guns of the AT-ST and Chief Chirpa's staff. I like how there are now two colors of FFM pieces, too (see above for the red version)! Hopefully that'll lead to more colors in the future. There's probably even more things that I find spectacular, but I'll leave my list like this for now. EDITed on 2/8/10 because I just noticed that Svelte said "parts that are not universally loved". Oops! Edited February 9, 201015 yr by ILikePi
February 6, 201015 yr I just love 1x2 jumper plates and 1x2 grill tiles. I just use them in every MOC
February 6, 201015 yr I somehow particularly like to make use of this part: Tile, Modified 1 x 2 with Handle It allows SNOT building at different directions which help me build various types of structures and patterns!
February 6, 201015 yr I really like the 2x1 1 1/3 curved slope brick for some reason. I also go gaga over plant elements, minifig scale animals, civillian minifig torsos and minifig accessories and food. And anything chrome or printed, or cloth!
February 6, 201015 yr Here are a few: 4x4x3.5 barrel: And I think I speak for everybody with this one Edited February 6, 201015 yr by legomaniac83

I still need to try and find replacements for them. First of all, what a great set! About the misfortune.... . That's very sad. Opening a MISB set and finding that some pieces are already worn off . I got mine (4 of them) from the 6541 Intercoastal Seaport back in 1991 or '92 and when I left my dark ages and opened the LEGO suitcase after all those years, it was one of the first pieces I tried to find. It was one of my favourite pieces since my childhood.
February 9, 201015 yr Listing these in no particular fashion... Gears -- All shapes and sizes. I don't build in Technic, but I'm always looking for way to incorporate them into MOCs, not just as decoration, but with some sort of functional purpose. I can't really explain why, (this is a thread about unnacountable fondness, after all) but there's something mesmerizing about them... spinning, meshing, little mechanical entities, their movements represented perfectly by mathematics and ratios... I digress. The single rail pieces. I've been a bit obsessed with 4-wide narrow-gauge trains lately, but I've only got six of these, and they're the only way to make 4-wide track. Palm Tree Trunk Chains... Ice cream scoops. If I can get my hands on any... (preferrably in white) Lastly, any sort of interesting printed piece, especially tiles. February 9, 201015 yr I love headlight bricks, but it's because they're just so useful - I guess that's accountable Unaccountably, though, I love Exo-Force robot arms. Absolute Power!!! [/palpatine]

It was one of my favourite pieces since my childhood. The condition of this 6395 set was strangely lacking considering it was MISB. It had the smoky/yellowed bricks issue described in the quality thread, and a few minifig heads and torsos were smudged up as well. Although I got it for quite a low price and it was still a good deal. The set itself is awesome in any case. Gears -- All shapes and sizes. I totally see where you are coming from.
