This is about the most international forum I've ever used, since Lego is an international toy, I suppose. Please tell us where you've been, (and of course if there's a Lego connection, please add it) and what was good.

Me?

My passport is Canadian.

I've been to the States about 20 times, and it's a lot of fun.

I've been in Japan for six years, and it's fun too.

I've been to Taiwan twice. I love the food and the government buildings.

I've been to Thailand twice. I love the temples, the bars, and the food.

I've been to Indonesia once, and loved the food.

I've been to China> Hong Kong once, and I didn't like it at all.

I've never been to Europe, but I'd love to go to Greece, Italy, and of course, Denmark  England, Germany and France are on the list after that.

Last year, a Denmark delegation came to my prefecture in Japan, to promote their canned ham. The prefecture I live in has been one of the top consumers of canned ham (ie. Spam) since the war and canned ham is one of Denmark's main exports. I did private lessons with the local government's translator before the visit, and he'd never heard of Lego, though the Denmark diplomat was coming. He thought it was pretty crazy that they made something like DaiyaBlocks in Denmark. A funny experience :sweet:

Well, I'm in the U.S. And I like it.

I've been to the Bahamas. I was only on Grand Bahama, but boy was it dull. Snorkeling was good, before my back started to itch insanely from being in still salt water too long. Besides the snorkeling, their are a few other cool things like the little vans that serve as "buses." The main and only real town on the island was quite derelict, as was this international bazaar that somebody had decided to build decades ago, but then became rundown, which was a shame.

I hope to go to Canada and Europe someday, for a trip. Not the same trip.

Well, I do live in the U.S. I have been to plenty of places in the US, like dallas and california.

I have been to Israel 6 times, my brother lives there. I love it in Israel. Its beautiful and everything on the most part is kosher so I can eat all the good food.

Ive been to England 8 times. I really hate it in England, the weather sucks and so does the food.

I've been to the States a bazillion times being that I was born a matter of meters from the border. The thing that I like best about the states is that there are some pretty sweet deals on Lego

I've also been across the country to Saskatchewan, I enjoyed myself but didn't like the fact that there's a lot of poverty out there :sceptic:

I'd really to like to visit Europe someday, maybe even Australia and New Zealand :classic:

EDIT: I live in Canada by the way and I don't have a passport :pir_bawling:

Well I feel like a local boy now. I'm 27 and I live in the US. My passportis American, I've been to Canada a few times, since I live in a state that borders the country. Other than that the only other country I've been to is Mexico for my honeymoon.

I've been up and down the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S. (I live in Florida), and to pretty much every Caribbean island you can think of. I've also been to Panama for a brief while and a Mexican seaport. I'm going to go to Canada this summer. I haven't really been outside of North America, though. I'd love to visit England and Ireland sometime.

I live in the U.S. I have a U.S. Passport, I also have a Polish Passport.

I visit Poland about every other year or so to visit family.

...Oh, and a LEGO connection is that there is this one small toy store close to where my family lives where I usually go and find some cool older sets.

I've been to 16 different countries so far, I guess living in Europe makes it a bit easier to visit many countries than if you live in North America or Australia for example.

I've got a Swedish passport and have been visiting Norway and Denmark more times than I can keep count of (been to LEGOLAND Billund twice in young age).

I've been to Finland once, but not on one of those cruiseferries that just goes over the day. It was a real trip

I've been to Germany a couple of times, great trips all of them.

When I was very young I travelled with my family through Holland, Belgium, England, Portugal, Spain and Greece. I don't remember much from those trips :sceptic: . But I been to England and Spain again which was a nice experience.

Last year in High School my class went to Ireland, that was awesome! :sweet:

Last winter I went to the French Alps (Tignes) to go skiing, I broke my leg the second day but it was still nice. We stopped for about half an hour in Switzerland on the way home but I don't think I can count that as a country I have visited.

And in October me and a friend went to Rome in Italy for a week. As two archaeologists we had a lot of fun exploring all the parts of ancient Rome.

Two times I've been out of Europe. One trip to Egypt when I was 7 years old, I will never forget that one. And last summer me, my brother and my dad went on a safari in Kenya and Tanzania. Africa is truly a very special continent and I hope I will be able to return in the future. I also wish to go to eastern Europe, mostly the Baltic states, Poland and Czech republic. And America would of course also be great to visit. So many places to see, I hope will be able to catch a few of them :classic:

Well I have a New Zealand passport.

I have been to the sunshine coast above Brisbane, Australia - It was so relaxing and way better than theme parks IMO.

I have been to Sydney - Great buildings, beautiful landmarks and great for shopping.

I have been to London - I really loved it there, great public transport and I love the bustling streets.

I have been to Paris - Great food, Eiffel Tower is amazing, lots of homeless people though...

I have been to Edinburgh - Meh it was average, Castle was a disappointment and the city was kinda boring.

Future Vacations:

Japan - for a school trip with friends which will be really fun.

England - Going over for a Christmas with my uncle. Will probably go down to the Mediterranean as well.

I have always lived in the US, mostly in the DC area until I moved to NJ three years ago. I have been to India 8 times as my parents are from there, although the last time was over 10 years ago. I went to Norway last summer for a conference, and several places (Austria, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Japan, and some others I don't remember) when I was 4 or 5. I don't really like travelling in general and only do it these days if there's a good reason.

Well, let's see here.

I have a Canadian passport.

-USA - About 15-20 times. Boston 8-10 times, Chicago once, Florida twice, New York once, Enfield once, Rhode Island once, southern California about 4-5 times and a few other places. I drove to Chicago and Boston, so technically I've to all the places in between, too. I went to Chicago for Brickworld, and have been to LEGOLand California twice. I went to Enfield just for a tour of the model shop there.

-Mexico - About 5 times.

-Israel - Four times.

-Every province in lower Canada to the west of Ontario, most recently Vancouver last summer.

-Jamaica - Once

-I've also stopped over in numerous countries through other flights, like Germany and Denmark, but I don't think those really count

-Italy in March

I've always wanted to go to England, Japan and Africa. I guess we'll see if those ever happen.

I have an American Passport and have been to Mexico (twice), Canada (once), Italy (once), India (twice), and a brief stopover in Germany on the way to Italy. I remember buying some Legos in the airport in Germany, ones that didn't come out for a few months back in the US. I thought it was the coolest thing that they had Lego in airports in Europe.

I'm from Bulgaria. Luckily, us Bulgarians don't have to fill out forms and pray that the authorities let us through every single time we want to leave our country anymore

I've been to the States and am planning on coming over again soon.

I've lived in Germany for ~4 years.

I've travelled to Turkey, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary, Austria. I've only been "through" Holland, Slovenia and Poland on my way to other destinations, which is a shame, I know...

One of these days I'm definitely going to make a Tour of Europe... Now that will be an interesting thing for my passport :)

P.S.: Ah, yes, I forgot... Been to Portugal as well. The UEFA Euro Cup 2004. Very nice country :)

I have to say, so far, I'm only jealous of Etzel. I never gave much thought to Europe growing up in Canada, but as an adult, I'm pretty jealous of the easy access to lots of cultures.

I thought of this thread as country by country, but a lot interpreted it as within the country too, which seems fair.

So I'll add to my list:

Canada: Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver.

America: New York, San Diego, Boston, Portland (Maine) Savannah, Panama City, Cincinnati and a bunch of other less famous places.

Japan: Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Kyoto, Naha, Nara, Toyama, Gunma, Matsuyama, Kochi, Hakone, Saitama, Miyako, Kume, Kerema.... I'll go to Hokkaido on April and make the list longer. The country has 49 prefectures in a place the size of California, so there's still lots of locales for me to hit.

Once again, I really want to hit Europe. If I'd travelled to Europe first, I'm sure I'd want to visit Asia instead. The only Asian locales I want to really visit are Vietnam, Cambodia, and Papau New Guinea.

There are Lego stores there, right?

Well I have a Canadian passport, and I've been to:

Mexico

America, about five times

France, I was quite young when I went though

Barbados, also quite young

Bahamas

In Canada I live in Ontario, but I've been to Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and P.E.I. also.

I'll probably be going to Ukraine in 2012 for the European Cup (soccer). :classic:

I'm Irish. I don't travel much, and I've never left Europe.

Family holidays as a kid: Wales twice, Malorca and Portugal (coincided with the European Cup, which was a nice accidental bonus. I got my mug on telly, walking by in the background as some England fans were being dragged into a police station)

Other than those, as an adult I've been to:

Paris, France

Barcelona, Spain

Rome, Italy

Warsaw, Poland

Kraków, Poland.

I plan to continue going to Poland and visit Germany eventually. Never been to England, though I've seen plenty of it from above :)

Germany - 1 time in Munich (not for the Oktober Fest) and a couple of times as intermediate stop during longer travels

Austria - 1 time in Wien and 1 time in Hallstat

Spain - 1 time in Madrid and 1 time in Toledo (swords  )

Portugal - 1 time traveling from Porto to Lisbon

Greece - 1 time in Athen

Denmark - 1 time in Copenaghen with 1 day in Billund

Sweden - 1 time (can't remember exactly the name of the locality)

UK - 5 times in London, 1 time in Sandhurst, 2 times in York, 1 time in Manchester, 2 times in Edinburgh and 1 time somewhere in Wales

Belgium - 1 time in Bruxelles

Lithuania - 1 time in Vilnius, Klaipeda, Kaunas and Siaulai

US - 1 time in New York, 1 time in Cortland

Now I'd like to see Oceania and Africa, but I don't know when this will happen; probably not in the near future.
