xwingyoda Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Guys, after the exclusive preview, we have the great sets (as you have just seen hehe) !!! Here is your place for discussing those great sets !!! Oh boy, 2006 will ruin me !!!! Yoda Quote
tophdawg Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 what pics are you talking about. just the exclusive and the box images or are there more images of the sets Quote
Vader Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Wow those are some sweet sets, the little pics were good but these new ones are fantastic. Quote
tophdawg Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 everything looks amazing. i cant wait ot get all of these. i love all the figs, and spongebobs house is great Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Is that orange in 3827? Because then I'll definitely be picking one up Quote
sam89 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Well here's what I think of the sets: Spongebob and Plankton's Adventure - Well it is definitely brick-built, and not aone piece body. I probably won't get it though. Krusty Krab - This looks good, and is probably the set I'm most likely to get. Adventure's at Bikini Bottom - I like this set, and the Patrick minifig is quite simple and effective. Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 6, 2006 Author Posted February 6, 2006 Here are my thoughts on the sets !!!! Krusty Krab: I love the figs !!!!!! The squid dude was the hardest to do I think, and TLC's approach for simplicity is just great !!! Plankton is pretty well done for a decorated brick and I also love the crabe dude !!!! Now lest focus on accessories: the burgers are not that great, was expecting new parts but for regular bricks, they look ok !!! I like the exterior big trashcan !!! The Sign of the restaurant is really nice !!!! The shape of the restaurant is great !!!!! I think with two sets, you can include a grey boat inside and an interior kitchen !!!!! I want more pics of the inside !!!! Bikini Bottom: Great collection of "unfinished buildings" !!!!! Great playability for kids but just a little plain for mocers or modifiers!!! Starfish dude looks terrific and I love Patrick the snail !!! Yeay green cherries for antennas !!!!! As Sam wrote, simple yet effective !!! Yeay lots of jellyfish !!!!!! I am not a huge fan of the sculpture !! It looks good though (not sure I'm getting it !!!). I love the MFs sets !!! I reall am going to get them, no questions asked !!!! I'm just disappointed that we are not having more weed, clams and crabs like Bellville sets hehe !!!! Yoda Quote
gylman Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 More fun than a barrel full of ...... just about anything. As a pentagenarian I cannot believe I am looking forward to getting these, but I most certainly am. KK and BB are great - gonna see lots of play in my house. Spongebob's and Plankton's adventure looks like a parts pack to me. Quote
Chuck Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Ah man, I was hoping for fish MF. Buy some of the minifig shark heads from the Merpeople set from Harry Potter, and use those as fish heads. -l2k- Quote
4brickmoney Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I Love the new sets the they really are going to leave me strapped for cash! Now to convince the wife we dont need to go away on vacation Quote
Beagle Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Woweeee.... even from the little pics I was a bit ambivalent about these. But these new, bigger pictures sold me. Look at all those classic bricks...... not a *I wanted to say that this set contains a lot of big pieces but didn't want to take the time to write it all, so I used the word "<insert that tiresome argument>" instead* piece in sight. Go Lego. Quote
blueandwhite Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Very nice. Great pieces, and proper brick-built models which are sure to make for some excellent MOCing. Kids are sure to love this line! Heck, Gary looks amazing! Who would have thought that LEGO would actually include a brick-built animal? Still, I can't help but wonder why is it that Knight's Kingdom continues to be so *I wanted to say that this set contains a lot of big pieces but didn't want to take the time to write it all, so I used the word "<insert that tiresome argument>" instead*? None of the licenced themes suffer from this affliction. Give kids some bricks, and great things will happen. This line looks good. I'm not even a fan of Spongebob, yet I'm still tempted. Later. jedijeff Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 wow these arent as bad as i thought they could be  i really like garry and the crusty crab well g2g Quote
reideen1313 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Great job getting these pics!! It sounds like you guys are as excited about these as I am! Now you see why I compared Spongebob's house to the 2nd Hagrid's Hut set? Also, you can see how Gary (the snail) is built using brick - very cool to see in person IMO. I highly reccommend the 3826 set. When you turn Spongebob around, you can put Plankton inside and have him 'drive' Spongebob. It's a very cool set. The eyes turn and the one that I saw came with two different mouths. Another thing - the 3827 set is a game - you shoot jellyfish at the houses to trigger different things inside the house. The jellyfish seen with the 3826 set are the same (at least they were when I saw them) as those in the 3827 set. Any questions? Quote
masterchief5611 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 How big is the Krusty Krab in studs? Quote
optimus-convoy Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 They all look great. They did a great job with those minifigs. Quote
jegoing Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 The only mini fig i don't think fits is Squidward. He should have a sculpted head and his "feet" could be printed on a slop. Quote
L'Exocet Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I just love "the Krusty Krab" (3825) . With a little moding it's a perfect diner to my town :) Quote
Aredhel Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 The sets look reeeeaally great!!! There are lots of things I can need!! Quote
Hobbes Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 What.... is that?!?! Oh, those licenses.............. Quote
alex54 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I really like this line! the spnogebob spirit with LEGO is here! sorry but who is Squidward? Is it the calmar who works with and live next to Bob? (if it is, he hasn't the same name than in french) when in 2006 will the sets be sold? Quote
