MattZitron Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 The minifigs are great!! I'd say Spongebob is the weakest (he's fantastic!!!), as I couldn't really use him for anything else. The others I could stick on Jabba's Sail Barge!! Quote
agrotic Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 damn it ! spongebob is ugly, but those sets are gorgeous ! a lot of colored pieces in the same set : orange or yellow for example if you're looking for colored pieces, those sets are for you ! I think I'll buy some ;) PS : I do love the snail Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 7, 2006 Author Posted February 7, 2006 sorry but who is Squidward? Is it the calmar who works with and live next to Bob? (if it is, he hasn't the same name than in french)when in 2006 will the sets be sold? Yes Squidward is Spongebob "ennemy" (I just bought a DVD with 8 episodes to know what Spongebob was !!). I think the sets are due this summer (July/august) !!!!!! I can't wait for those !!!! Yoda Quote
jonfett Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 As someone who "dislikes" Spongebob to a certain extent (just listen to the theme tune  ) I must say that these sets don't look too bad. Look at all those yellow pieces in the big Spongbob and also the orange in the bikini bottom set. I also think Lego did the right thing with the minfigs, it would have been terrible if they had sculpted completely new figs. Overall not bad, and we got the first pics! Jon. Quote
Zane Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Squidward isn't really his enemy....he's a dull, boring squid who hates fun. Spongebob sees him as his friend, but Squidward really hates Spongebob. Plankton owns a restaurant called the Chum Bucket, which is opposite the Krusty Krab. He tries to steal the formula for Mr Krabs's Krabby Patties that gave him his success. In the episode that the large Spongebob is based on, I believe, is when he wins Spongebob in a bet with Mr Krabs, and tries to make him make a patty. When he doesn't, Plankton puts his brain in a robot. It's quite probably based on another episode though. Patrick is Spongebob's stupid starfish friend. He lives under the rock in the Bikini Bottom set. Gary is Spongebob's pet snail, who only ever meows. He also has feet... Mr Krabs owns the Krusty Krab, and is money obsessed. Spongebob and Squidward work for him. Any questions? :P TT Quote

It's aptly called "Plankton!". In it, Plankton climbs into SpongeBob's head, gains access to his brain and takes control of him to get to the secret recipe for Krabby Patties. Quote
General Grievous Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 These sets are just too cool. :-D I love all the minifigs but I don't see why the hands on Mr. Krabs and Squidward are different from the color of the torso *wacko* Quote
gusmoore17 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Saving up to get this as soon as they're out in US!!!!!!! (except UCS) but Squidward.......oh........well, the rest is great: Great MF'S (look at little Gary the snail), terrific colors!!! (orange, what it seems like new green, pink-transparent chef hats, etc), a mini restaurant with the Krusty Krab, burguers, a pinneaple under the sea and a Eastern Island Head!!!!!! Yeah! Quote
DarthBrick429 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Krusty Krab Looks Terrific! If you see closely at the back of the building, you could see a stove for Spongebob to grill on and if you look even closer, you can see the halfboat where Squidward works as the cashier. I love the amount of pieces you get in this set! 295 pieces for a 20 dollar set! Now that's a record! I'm glad how they made the characters in the set. I just wish they made minfigs of customers for the set. They'd have similar heads to the Shark in the Harry Potter; Attack of the Merepeople set. I love the baseplate, as well! Spongebob and Plankton's Adventure Looks great! I might not get it, though. I'm not too interested in a Spongebob Collector's Set. Great amount of pieces. Plankton looks pretty stupid. The arms look pretty blocky, too. Adventures at Bikini Bottom WOW! This is extremely impressive. This is a set I'm definetly considering to buy. Orange pieces! That's a first in lego history! I love the little boat car they made! Patrick looks like his wearing a thong, though! LOL. They should've just given him pants. Wat I don't understand is why they have catapults in this set? Seems pretty strange. Otherwise, a great set! Suggestions For Other Spongebob Sets: 1. Mrs. Puff's Boating School 2. The Chum Bucket 3. Gloop Lagoon 4. Sandy's Treedome 5. Jellyfish Fields 6. Mermaidman and Barnicleboy Adventures Quote

alex54 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 I confirm that the big bob comes from the first episode in which we can discovert mr. plakton, and the name of the episode is plankton. i have seen it this saturday! And I don't know why TLC has choose to put black hands for Mr. Krabb and not red like they are... really strange... Quote
alex54 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 the pictures of SB and Avatar look like 3D ones. I mean, they seem to be made with a computer and not a picture of real sets... Quote
Jipay Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 All the new pictures of the last lego sets are computer made, starting with Exo force, batman, SB avatar. The rest should follow soon Quote
Kahgarak Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Oh dear. These catapults mean... UNDERSEA SIEGE!    Quote
john cleese Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Oh dear. These catapults mean... UNDERSEA SIEGE!    yea an army of spongebobs and jellyfish, net catapults. omg that would be awsome! Quote
Chuck Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 It'd be nice if there was a simple $8 set with some jelly fish, spongebob, and some scenery or somthing. -l2k- Quote
rew12 Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 The yellow hands of UCS Spongbob will be useful for KK megafigs! Gary the Snail fig is cool! And we have jellyfish at last in Lego! Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 The yellow hands of UCS Spongbob will be useful for KK megafigs!Gary the Snail fig is cool! And we have jellyfish at last in Lego! Yes the snail is awesome  But aren't those yellyfish simply chef hats in another color? Quote
Darkness Falls Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 I can't believe I'm saying this, but some of these sets would be fantastic for Brikwars... ^^ Lego did great this year. I give thm an "A" for bringing themselves up where they fell this year. Those MF look amazing, That Mister Krabs... *gargle* Definately the Krusty Krab. Love the show action features, like the bed catapult, which actually occurs in the show... I hope they do more. I think I can tell you all that a Mrs. Puff's Boating School would be an amazing set if they built it like this! Quote
evanderkleij Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Those sets looks absolutly fantastic. Frendly look in stead of weapens and war stuf. Sinds years I can look forward to something wich make's me addicted of it. Looking me crazy about those sweet pictures until august. ( appologize for my englisch ) Greetings you all from The Netherlands. Quote
alex54 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 for the jellyfish, I asked me the same question than Kikuichimonji, but after reflexion, I don't think they are chef hats. they look like a part of belleville (the french name, I don't know what is in english, sorry!), a part of something that appears to be eat... Quote
ApophisV Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 But aren't those yellyfish simply chef hats in another color? Yep, that's right! Transparent chef hats. They already did the same at 4762 - Rescue from the Merpeople! (A TransLightBlue one the top of the green wall thing) Quote
evanderkleij Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Is there someone who sees the diference?? ;) Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 14, 2006 Author Posted February 14, 2006 Is there someone who sees the diference?? ;) What difference ?? Those are clearly the same as the trans blue, or chef hat or printed muffin part !!!!!! Cool, I will have my jellyfish field hehe !!!!!! Yoda Quote
